Grand Falls Montana - 1880 The train ride to Grand Falls proved difficult enough without Victoria Hudson meeting the totally annoying Jesse Pendleberry. The man is beyond irritating and she's more than pleased when she arrives at her destination, presumably leaving him on the train. Apothecarist Jesse Pendleberry wants to set up shop and get on with the job. He has no time for courting, and definitely has no interest in the pretty new schoolmarm. Can tragedy bring these two together? Or will fate step in and take their choices away?
Walking down the street and watching people go about their day-to-day life, but thinking strange, even dangerous things.
I still clearly remember the day I stood at the traffic lights in downtown Melbourne. There she was, sitting in her car, waiting for the lights to change green. Tapping her fingers impatiently.
Something inside my head went off. Kaboom! An idea formed, and became the beginning of a novel.
Instead of sitting patiently at the lights, she was nervous, extremely anxious as she was being pursued by killers. The next thing she knew, an angry, crazy man was slamming her windscreen with a sledgehammer and she was running for her life.
Victoria is annoyed with a man she meets on the train. Good thing her stop is coming soon and she can get off the train and get busy with teaching school again. Jesse is enchanted by the woman he meets on the train. If only his stop wasn't coming up soon. He wishes he could get to know her better. What happens when he realizes she's gotten off at the same stop as him? How will his new business work out? Will he be able to convince Victoria to be friends? This is a clean, sweet romance. It was really cute. I've now read all 3 books in this series. They are all sweet and enjoyable. I just wish there were more books in the series.
I loved this book, the characters are so fun! Victoria is so sassy and feisty, while Jesse loves to get her fired up. I loved the banter between the characters, it held my attention and kept me glued to the pages. The author does a great job with pulling the reader in and holding their attention. The school, apothecary and diner were all places so well described the reader becomes apart of this town. So much to love about this sweet clean romance! Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
This author has brought us a sweet and heart warming story evidencing that life does not always turn out the way we have planned it out. This is Victoria and Jesse's story and the character development is very good. Victoria while on the train traveling to her first teaching job meets Jesse. Much to her dismay, she soon discovers that Jesse's destination is the same town as hers. If the couple is to ever arrive at a HEA, there are many problems that will have to be overcome. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.
I adored Victoria, the third book from the Brides of Montana series. I love books by Cheryl Wright and she once again has written a beautiful and entertaining sweet historical romance. I enjoyed Victoria and Jesse’s story from start to finish. I highly recommend this book and this series. Five plus stars. I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Victoria is the town’s new school teacher and Jesse is the new apothecary. They arrive together on the train, where Jesse had been teasing her a bit. When she sees he’s getting off at her stop, she’s none too happy!
Over time, she grows to really enjoy Jesse’s company. However, as a schoolmarm, she cannot get married or she will lose the position and the town has not had good luck in having teachers.
I love Cheryl Wrights books, and this series is so good. In this book, Jesse and Victoria meet on the train enroute to Grand Falls. He insists on teasing her, and she thinks he is not a gentleman. Once in Grand falls, they keep running into each other and soon realize they are developing feelings for each other. This is a sweet love story with a happy ending.
. . . 🥰 Happy reading, and until the next reading. . . 😘
