I loved all the activities on this book. It emphasis the word of God and makes room for critical thinking. If also reinforces that science shows the good works of God. I would encourage parents to get involved with their children on these activities.
Creation can create an awe inspiring attitude for children which in turn can create a thankful heart. Louie Giglio that is one of the greatest gift that the Lord bestowed to Louie. It is a gift that he shares.
I have marked this to put on my gift list.
A special thank you to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

My science kid pores over the Indescribable books on a daily basis, so I knew she would enjoy this activity book! Perfect for religious homeschooling families or as a "quiet book" for kids who need to stay occupied at church. We're saving ours for our next road trip.

Our kids really enjoyed the indescribable books. This book is an activity book and they will love it. I love how the link is made between science and who God is. The activities are fun and give an opportunity for the kids to rethink the stuff they just learned. It's so creative. Just fantastic!

This activity book is fun and highly entertaining! Kids will want to return to it time and time again. Jam-packed with hundreds of engaging and exciting activities that point kids to the wonder of Creation, this book is a fantastic new addition to the three kids’ devotionals from Louie Giglio (in fact, many pages in this book reference what devotion number/book to check out to learn more!). This activity book can be used as a standalone, however, and would make a great homeschooling resource.
The book begins by introducing six diverse young characters of various strengths and interests that readers will see throughout the book and find identifiable and relatable. Then, it offers bright, detailed and informative illustrations that are eye-catching and exciting! Even as an adult, I was excited to flip through each page and see what all it offered.
Not only is this activity book visually stimulating, it is also mentally stimulating! It is highly educational, challenging and encourages children in their faith, creativity and exploration of the world around them. I love that it’s STEM-focused and covers such a wide variety of topics (fruit of the Spirit, space, art, periodic table, animals, weather, plus so much more!). This is a wonderful alternative to screen-time.
I believe this book is best suited for elementary-school aged children, but I did find several activities that my Kindergartner was excited to try. This book would work well for families who have children of various ages too, as there are plenty of activities and experiments that can be done together. There’s a helpful subject index in the back and an answer key that parents may find useful.
Overall, a definite recommendation as a fun resource that would be perfect for homeschool families, car rides, boredom busters or to give as a gift!

The Indescribable Activity Book for Kids was written by Louie Giglio and illustrated by Nicola Anderson and Lynsey Wilson.
Summary: This activity book is designed to complement the Indescribable devotional series. It contains more than 150 fun activities and includes scripture, puzzles, word searches, crosswords, drawing activities, STEM experiments and more.
Many of the activities also include page numbers at the top directing readers back to a corresponding devotion from Indescribable, How Great Is Our God, and The Wonder of Creation for a more in-depth study on that topic.
My Thoughts: We are very big fans of this entire devotional series. We have used each of the devotionals as part of our daily homeschool devotional times over the years (we’ve done Indescribable twice!), and they are wonderful. In fact, we just finished The Wonder of Creation this past school year.
Adding an activity book to this series was such a fantastic idea. My nine-year-old son is really enjoying the book so far, and I absolutely love some of the drawings he has done!
There are so many fun projects in this book too. Here are just some I am looking forward to doing with my son soon:
-making a pizza that shows all the Earth’s layers
-the ten second marshmallow game
-crystal snowflakes
-a glow stick experiment
And I absolutely love the missions where kids practice having a heart like God’s and doing things to bless other people.
This book is packed with a great variety of engaging activities, fun and colorful illustrations, and best of all, it points kids back to God and His Word.
I highly recommend this book. It is a wonderful companion to the devotionals and would be perfect as an addition to any child’s devotional time, homeschool science activities, and just for fun!
I would like to thank Thomas Nelson for providing me with a digital copy for my review, AND an actual physical copy as well! Thank you so very much!

This activity book is full of engaging puzzles, art projects, games, and science activities geared towards elementary-aged Christian kids. The author designed this to go with a series of children's devotionals, and some pages refer you to the devotional to read more about a concept, but if you're getting this for the activities and not the spiritual content, this works perfectly well as a stand-alone.
The illustrations are fun and engaging, and the book offers a great variety of activities and lessons about different science concepts. The STEM elements are broad-ranging and involve multiple disciplines, and everything is explained well for kids withuot being too over-simplified. There is usually some kind of spiritual tie-in, with analogies related to faith or comments about God's creativity, character, and goodness. There are also occasional reflection questions for kids, and some of the activities are related to doing things to bless and encourage others.
The text-heavy scientific explanations are best for upper-elementary kids who are proficient readers, but parents can read this material to younger kids and then set them up with the activities. The activities reflect a fairly broad age range, and although some will be super fast and simple for older kids, there are others that are at their level.
This will appeal to Christian families and church groups. The puzzles and activities are fun and engaging, and there is so much variety that kids can easily skip over anything that doesn't interest them and find something they like. I would have enjoyed this a lot when I was the target age for it, and would have enjoyed it while traveling in the car or playing in my room. I still enjoyed doing many of the puzzles now, as an adult, and I'm glad I got to review this.
I received a free copy from the publisher through Amazon Vine in exchange for an honest review.

The Indescribable Activity Book for Kids was made to complement the science - and- creation-emphasizing devotional Kids' books in the Indescribable series. I have not read the other books in the series, and it is not necessary to enjoy this book. Colorful and engaging, this book would be great for any kid who loves art, science, nature, or activity books. The activities are varied - puzzles, quizzes, experiments, drawing, writing, color- -by-number, hidden pictures, and much more, but each subject glorifies God as the creator and includes scientific facts. There's lots to learn in this book! The facts are interesting and informative, but short enough to keep kids engaged. It is recommended for kids 6-10. I'd say this is pretty accurate. Maybe 7-10. It also includes references to the devotional books, so that if you want to find out more about a subject and have the book, it tells you what page to find it on. I could see this working to spark an interest in reading the devotional for a child who might otherwise be reluctant to read such a book, or a child who does not have much prior Bible knowledge. There are also scripture references in the book. I plan on gifting my book to a 10 year old newcomer to my church.
I received this book free from the publisher and all opinions expressed are my own. #sponsored.

God's love for our children and the world around us is amazing and indescribable as this activity book from Louie Giglio proclaims. Filled with over 150+ activities from puzzles, STEM, experiments, and quizzes. This book has something for every child and is perfect for those aged between 6-12 years old. Though most of the activities are not Christian orientated which means anyone will enjoy this book, most of them do have a Christian spin from a join-the-dot Seahorse picture that talks about God making the sea animals to a quiz about who lives where and God providing everyone with the shelter that they need. Growing up in a Christian household myself and attending Sunday School, doing the Maori Postal Sunday School correspondence lessons - Indescribable would have been the perfect activity book for me growing up. The other thing I love is that each page is brightly and colorfully decorated and this makes the book enjoyable. Indescribable is the perfect book for all kids on those long car journeys and anyone looking for some school holiday fun. Indescribable combines science and educational fun with the word of God to show children that religion and church doesn't have to be a boring experience.

In this book, my son has enjoyed the mazes, hidden pictures, memory games and scavenger hunts. I had planned on doing one activity per day as part of homeschool, but my son has been completing them at a faster rate. He sees it more as a fun activity than 'school work'.
At the top of the page, the devotional number is listed, if you want to read it along with the activity. (The devotionals are individual books that were published before this activity book.) While we already enjoyed reading the devotionals in the three book series, we like to revisit the devotional to see what all he remembers from the previous reading. Of course, the activity pages can be enjoyed without owning the devotional series.
The pages are thick and suitable for writing; we haven't experienced any bleed through on the next page.
The index gives you an alphabetical listing of activity type, devotionals, and subject, so that you can use the book in your homeschool studies or refer back to something that your kiddo is learning about on his own. (This is not a book created for homeschool, but for all children who enjoy learning about the world God has created.)
I would love to see the publisher come out with more activity books.

What a vast collection of activities for children who like to learn fun facts and enjoy science! This activity book contains topics from all three of Louie Giglio’s Indescribable devotional books. The coinciding book and page number is mentioned at the top of each activity page. One of the first pages in the activity book mentions “some of the activities offer brand new information that’s not from the devotional book.” At the beginning of the book, you will be introduced to six Indescribable kids. My children were excited about this part. Two of these children, Raz and Norah, are featured on the Indescribable podcast. Several of the topics for the activity pages are part of our studies for school this year: the human body, the periodic table, various types of weather, space, volcanoes, etc. Some of the traditional, activity-book-type activities are included, but also some new ones. This collection contains pages that teach you simple drawing instructions, science experiments, crafts, recipes, and more. By quick count there aren’t more than five of any one activity, so it provides a good variety. What a great book for any science-loving children or for kids who love to learn more about God’s wonderful world!

I liked the book well enough, hence the 3 star review. The reason I didn't rate it higher was because there really weren't many STEM experiments in the book. There were a few, but they were things that you could find for free online and some were things a kid wouldn't spend a lot of time doing, like making a sundial where you have to go back every few hours to mark the time. A child won't spend hours on a sun dial.
This was mostly just a puzzle book for kids. It is colorful and does make them think and gets them off of electronic devices. However, many of the puzzles or activities were things geared more toward very young children, but the book also required a fair amount of reading which would require an older school age child. It was hard to tell what age this book was aimed at because of this. The puzzles and activities were too easy for kids old enough to read, but the younger kids who the puzzles seemed designed for wouldn't be able to read the text part that explained the science.
Overall, a nice, colorful book with lots of puzzles, but not much in the way of real STEM type experiments and hard to tell what age child this is geared toward.

If you have a little one home for the summer, then I have got something for you. Holy guacamole has this been a hit in our house!
In these pages you will find over 150+ faith building puzzles and activities that are a blend of science and God, which is the perfect combination for my seven-year-old. Crosswords, puzzles, activities, coloring, mad libs, and SO MUCH MORE. We have been sitting together to work on these and my mom thoughts are this one is awesome. Even I have even had fun and learned a thing or two. I can’t give this one enough stars. My daughter has been carrying this one around with her since we got it, which is high praise in our house. I would say this is perfect for the seven- to ten-year-old in your life.
Side note: One of the things I love is if you have the Indescribable for Kids devotional, there are notes at the top of the activity pages to help you correlate the activity to the devotional for deeper learning.
Summer is upon us and if you are looking for a few things to stock up on around the house, add this one to your list! I will 100% be picking up anything in this series!

The Indescribable Activity Book for Kids by Louie Giglio with Tama Fortner is a delightful activity book for kids ages 6-10. This full color book contains word searches, crosswords, games, puzzles, crafts, dot to dot, drawing, and experiments. The Indescribable Kids share science facts and lead you through the book.
This can be used along with the author’s devotionals or as a stand alone. As a certified teacher and homeschool mom I believe you could use it as a science supplement for fourth and up and your curriculum for grades 1-3. It also would work well for activities for kids to do while waiting in appointments, church, during free time, travel, or anytime you need a quiet activity. Kids who like science will probably enjoy this book the most, but the colorful pages and variety of activities will appeal to all kids.
I highly recommend the Indescribably Activity Book by Louie Giglio.
I was given a copy by the publisher and not required to write a positive review.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I have read Louie Giglio’s book, Indescribable – 100 devotions about God and Science, several times and I love that there is now an activity book to accompany the devotional book. This activity book provides many different kinds of activities to further explore many of the topics covered in the original Indescribable Devotion Book. For example, Devotion #36 talks about the wonders of God’s creation of the human eyes and the Activity on p. 6 provides extended information about the parts of the eye. You will want the devotional book to use along with this Activity Book. Activities include puzzles, word games, stem experiments, conversation extensions, inspirational ideas for serving, craft ideas, and challenging picture games. This activity book would be ideal for homeschooling families or to accompany family devotion times. This would make a great gift along with Indescribable – 100 devotions about God and Science, also by Louie Giglio.

Indescribable Activity Book for Kids by Louie Giglio with Tama Fortner is a cool interactive activity book for children ages six to ten.
This book has 165 pages of activities in it. There are mazes, puzzles, logic games, STEM projects, Simple Science Projects as well as ideas for helping people in the community. It is full of fun and learning activies that are both big and small, some are active and some are more laid-back. All of them would be great to use at home with children during summer vacation and they could be used along with homeschool lessons. This book also includes God alongside the science so children focus on faith as well as learning.
The illustrations done by Nicola Anderson and Lynsey Wilson are bright and colorful. They would definitely draw a child in.I also like that there is an index in the back if you or the child are wanting to focus on something specific.

I was delighted to see that Louie Giglio has produced another book for youngsters that is faith based, mind stimulating, and with science activities that will expand their mental capacity and affirm their faith in God.
I previously reviewed several of Mr. Giglio's books and each time felt it a privilege to be involved in promoting his publications. He understands kids and knows his science. His faith shines through.
Children will delight in this well thought out and designed activity book that is packed with a stimulating variety of experiments, games, logic puzzles, mazes, etc. Packed with facts.
I just love it and am delighted to present it to my readers. Sadly this was not available when I was raising my children. I highly recommend it for you and your children.
I received a complimentary copy to facilitate a review. Opinions are mine, alone and freely given.

I am very pleased to review another book in the "Indescribable" series by Louie Giglio, this time an activity book with 150+ mind-stretching and faith-building puzzles. Plus -- STEM experiments about God and science.
My oldest grandson has a game he likes to play called Stump Grandma. It's right up there with Stump The Parents. After reading "How Great is Our God: 100 Devotions about God and Science," "Indescribable" and "The Wonder of Creation," he is ready for some new data for his favorite stumping games.
With this book, he can add facts about the platypus, the elephant shrew, rogue planets (and more!) -- all while completing fun activity pages. That is, if he can grab the book before his younger brother sees all the mazes (his current pastime.)
A+ review from all three generations in my family.

My 10 year old loved this book! I pulled it out when he was home sick from school and it was perfect! It provided great screen-free entertainment as he rested.
We absolutely love the Indescribable devotional books and I was very excited to hear about this activity book…It didn’t disappoint!!
It’s filled with colorful pictures, word puzzles, activities, drawing and coloring pages, and loaded with facts that point us to our Creator.
I will say what others have said that it’s a little hard to say what age this book is geared towards…some of the puzzles are quite simple, but a beginner reader wouldn’t be able to “read” this book on their own.
If you love the Indescribable devotional series, you’ll love this activity book too!

I had a print copy but it migrated to Cleveland with my nine year old granddaughter! I still have the digital copy for a little while and it is just not quite as much fun. The print copy has the same activities and learning opportunities but can also be hidden under the covers with an Itty Bitty Book Lite and a pencil. Love it!
The illustrations by Nicola Anderson and Lynsey Wilson are fun, simple, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone.
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN'S, Thomas Nelson via NetGalley. Thank you!

You know, one of the hardest things to do these days is occupying a child’s time happily without a screen. I think this activity book has a fighting chance of succeeding. Wow, nearly 200 pages of fun things to do on paper. I wish I had this book when I was a kid!
Such a great variety of activities - mazes, dot to dot, drawing, coloring, spot the differences, fill in the blanks, quizzes. The list goes on. And all telling about God’s creation. Fun, learn, be inspired and encouraged about God’s love, power and faithfulness to us. Really quite a complete package for a child.
Beautiful, colorful, adorable and appealing illustrations too.
5 complete stars from me.

April 22, 2023This faith-based activity book has so much more than word finds and mazes! Creative 6- to 10-year-olds will love the “would you rather” questions and logic grids, as well as activities that encourage outdoor exploration. I love that kids can engage their minds and their hands to learn about God and science. Plus, each activity is linked to a devotion in the Indescribable series (though kids will get a lot out of this activity book all on its own). What a fun way to help kids grow in faith and understand God’s amazing world!

This activity book is really great. So many mazes, puzzles, riddles, logic games, word searches, crosswords, & complete-the-story exercises! I wanted to dive right into it and do all the activities. The Biblical truths that are presented are so wonderful. While the children are learning scientific facts they are also shown the wonder of God's creation. I was so glad to see such a God focused book. The STEM activities will be good for all children but especially give homeschooling parents another activity to teach their children.

My children have loved the God & science devotionals that correspond to this activity book & were thrilled when they received this activity book as a “travel gift” for our spring break trip!
It’s a great activity book to engage the mind & spirit of your young one while educating & enlightening your child on our incredible Creator & the incredible creation He designed. It is perfect for elementary age students (my kids who received this activity book are in 1st & 4th grade). I will definitely be buying more to gift to my nieces, nephews, & children’s friends.

Louie Giglio's Indescribable Kids Activity Book is an excellent gift for children this summer. This activity book provides creative, educational entertainment for children for hours while also helping them understand and explore Biblical principles that will stay with them for a lifetime. The book is an excellent tool for keeping children engaged and occupied when they are at home. It is a perfect gift for children and one of the best you can give them!

This activity book has a wonderful washable cover with puzzles, crosswords, and stem experiments about God and Science. Geared towards 6-10-year-olds. The activities can be enjoyed by children and their parents as well, as they interact with each other.
The interior is full of pages of wonderful colored illustrations that will excite a child's imagination and eagerness for learning.
Highly recommended. Another winner from Louie Giglio.

We loved this activity book so much we bought the devotional to go with it.
There are 165 pages of activities for the kids, answers in the back in case anyone gets stumped and it pairs well with the Indescribable devotional also by Louie Giglio.
It’s very colorful and my kids fully enjoy the activities with there being some that even my four year old can do as well as some even my near 12 year old does.

Beautifully illustrated and designed! Perfect activity book for screen-free time and to practice brain skills. I also loved that everything was related to Scripture and learning more about God/building your faith. The one down side would be there were not very many STEM experiments. But as an activity book to use with elementary aged kids at a restaurant or in the car instead of a tablet - it's great!

If you are a KID between 5 and 95 then this activity book will suit you just fine. I'm 81 and I hate to part with this INDESCRIBABLE Activity Book. I do have grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Well, at least one will be the lucky winner OR I just might buy enough for all of them.
