How can we ever hope for the world to get better if we keep limiting what God can do?
After reading this book, you will step up with courage to be a part of the hope that the world needs against a destructive culture. God has called you to be a witness of light in the middle of the darkness, and you will obey Him with boldness and integrity.
Everyone living on the planet today has a front-row seat to the failure of communism, socialism, and immorality. People are sick to death of the fabrications, lies, control, and tyranny. Mario Murillo draws on his recent experiences in California, where his ministry is experiencing souls being saved at a rate that surpasses even what was seen during the Jesus movement of the 1960s and ’70s. It’s accelerating, and Murillo believes it’s a worldwide trend that has us poised for an unprecedented opportunity as the body of Christ. We must seize this moment!
In It's Our Turn Now, Murillo explains why now is the time for Christians to do the following: Explain why everything man has taught us is bankrupting our morals and our souls Display the supernatural with integrity and clarity that we’ve not seen before Answer directly the questions that are truly on the hearts and minds of the human race
We are no longer the remnant. There are millions of us, and it's time to stop believing the false reports and listen to what people around us are feeling. We have the answers a hungry world is dying for. Only the gospel of Jesus Christ can deliver us, and only the church can change the world through its power. It’s our turn to step up and stop limiting God.
On two occasions in this book, God spoke to me so I'm calling it a win. Although I didn't feel what the author hoped I would feel, I felt something and I think It's Our Turn Now presents a very compelling argument for action; an inspirational call to arms for Christians.
I believe what Mario says, agree with most of it, and I love his passion. I especially love his attacks on Wokeism and his call for Christians to be informed, active and compassionate people. He also says we must be strong and that we are fully equipped to do what God wants to do in and through us. It's all good stuff.
I liked It's Our Turn Now because it is truth and it provided encouragement. Also, as I said, spoke personal words to me which made me feel hopeful and strong in my situation. It also aligned with other signs, if that's what you want to call them, to confirm some learning and personal growth I'm experiencing.
Although he is speaking to Americans, Murillo's words are certainly for all the western church including Australia. His basic message is that the church is soft and it shouldn't be. God is with us and for us so we should get on the front foot and fulfil the mission. Obviously, if you're not a Christian you won't read this unless you are a rabid atheist or an open minded person so my comment and my review are geared towards people of faith, like myself.
For too long, we have sat back and allowed our nation to fall into the ungodly mess it has become. The fear of man, the fear of offending people, the fear of losing our reputation, the fear of losing our tax-exempt status, on and on, have replaced the fear of God! This book is a clarion call for the Church of Jesus Christ to rise up in holy boldness and recapture what has been taken from us. It is time to declare the full Gospel without hesitation, knowing that as we are obedient to God's calling, we can be the catalyst to more than just a "revival": we can be the Church as she began on the day of Pentecost, that brought reformation to the world. Rise up, mighty warriors, and in the power of the Spirit, let us go forth as a mighty army to bring in the great harvest before Jesus returns for His Bride.
To call this Book phenomenal a gross understatement. This is an absolute must read. This will touch the life of long time believers as well as new converts or even someone who is looking for answers. There is a call on your life! Are you a CEO of a Fortune 500 company or a custodian? You have a purpose! God has a plan for your life! We must be willing to take up our cross, the battle is ahead, get up and move forward!
It,s a good read as Christian’s we must speak out for what we believe and come against the things that have taken us away from God because we kept quiet even when where standing alone this is still one nation under GOD and we must fight for are youth and bring them out of diseption there been took in to so we must fight against the things that are turning America away from God it’s are turn to stand up
This book has been the topic in a home group study I am involved with. We do just one or so chapters at a time and then discuss and finally have prayer. The topics covered in the book have been pertinent to 2024, as this has been a presidential election year. The premise of the book is actually a wake-up call to the Church, besides a message of encouragement. Murillo addresses cultural problems and anti-Christian trends, rulings, and changes in America, and largely the entire western world. While every age has had issues and attacks upon biblical values, it is now blatantly intense and the vitriol and hatred directed towards Christians is palpable and, at times, life-threatening right here in America! Basic freedoms, freedom of speech, freedom to Worship, freedom to guide and make medical and educational decisions for our children, babies' right to life, and many more moral and spiritual issues are under attack as never before. Murillo addresses these problems and the godless perceptions that are common in our current time. The church should not cower or be disheartened in the face of opposition. While the book is sometimes perhaps too political, it offers insight and truths to assist in deciphering these times of trouble. The last two or so chapters are quite encouraging. A few examples of great people ouuf God are used to show what they faced and the mighty work they did because of the faithfulness of God. Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892), for instance, the mighty insightful pastor of Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, and eloquent speaker and writer, went through a bout of severe depression that threatened to knock him out of his calling and very being. Other pertinent leaders are referred to. Scripture is heavily used in this part of the book and it speaks to the reader more personally. I actually would give this book 3 1/2 stars but that is not an option. This will appeal to you if you are hungry to see people come to know Christ, concerned about the anti-Christian bias, sick of a dead or hypocritical Christian Church, and hungry for authentic powerful Christianity, desirous of a true move of God.
“It’s our turn now to succeed where others have failed. It’s our turn to keep going after the vicious attack. It’s our turn to unlock the secret that would have kept Elijah going straight for Jezebel and kept Evan Roberts going in the great Welsh Revival.” -- Mario Murillo
