Rate this book
In sizzling Sin City nothing burns hotter than desire.

Prodigy child of the art world, Ellia Dewine, has avoided the limelight for years, until the opportunity of a lifetime changes it all. Reyes Hotel’s offer is her chance to do what she loves most— to paint. What she doesn’t expect is the scorching attraction to brooding hotel owner, Kian. Something in his alpha nature strips her of the constant need to be in total control.

For the first time ever, she is happy to simply feel. Unfortunately, the desire for Kian doesn’t match the reality of being with him. His polished exterior hides a world of secrets. One Ellia fears she will never fit into.

The world sees Kian Reyes as a powerful billionaire with money and women at his disposal. The truth is far different. His broken soul is consumed by revenge. Meeting the artist who created the most treasured painting in his collection gets his blood pumping in a way it never has before.

Ellia deserves more than his cold-hearted nature, but he can't help himself from getting a taste of what he wants. But the danger lurking in the shadows leads to a betrayal neither Ellia or Kian see coming.

Love should never have been in the cards. Now, it might be what ruins them both.

Holy crap! I think I am ruined. This book really tore me in two. The anguish and heart shattering was unbearable. These two characters are just so damaged and lost. Their story is one of soul torturing pain.

Returning to the world of Art, Ella is graduating with her degree and a job to commission pieces for the hotel Reyes owns. When a stranger turns into her boss, her whole world collides. Reyes is damaged beyond all repair. He never allows for an intimate relationship, never trusting anyone. He is dark, dangerous and will ruin the very essence of her.

This book is a twisted web of secrets. Dark and dangerous secrets, but also of a all consuming love. The draw of these two characters is unlike anything I have read in a long time. It is like when they are apart they self destruct. It is soul shattering.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes and I cannot wait to delve into the next book. I am not sure how much more our sweet Ella can take. I honestly think Reyes quest for revenge is about to blow up in his face and he is going to lose everything including Ella. It is disgusting the way his family is. I don't quite know how Brandon is so blind to it all.

I am on to the next book to see if our power couple can overcome all obstacles and come together. Or will they destroy each other.

I'm ruined

This did exactly what it said it would. Ruined me.

Instant heat, off the charts chemistry, all in the backdrop of the vibrancy of Las Vegas. Add trust issues and family drama for all the angst you could want.

I just have to trust that book 2 will put me back together again.

This is my first book by Bianca Borell and I am not sure how I feel about it.

This book follows college graduate and art prodigy, Ellia and her new career as a resident artist for a hotel in Las Vegas. She meets her new boss, billionaire, Kian Reyes, and immediately falls for him and vice versa.

Ellia is young, innocent, and broken. She has past trauma that still haunts her to this day. I enjoyed getting to know Ellia. Towards the end of the book, she became a completely different person. She didn't act like a 22-23 year old, yet she started acting like a woman. For me, there was no transition into it. As soon as she had sex, she woke.

Kian. He is dark, mysterious, and has a tortured past. He is the King of the Night.. a playboy. He has trust issues and is completely jealous. Some backstory was uncovered, but still, a lot of questions need to be answered.

It took me a while to get into the book. I was trying to understand what the book is about until the last 20% of the book when it started to get interesting. Very slow and a lot of things happened from one paragraph to the next. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on or what was happening in the scene.

I felt there was a lot of redundancy throughout the book. It was a constant battle with Kian's jealousy, with no explanation or backstory. Why was he this way? Past girlfriend? Family? It wasn't clear unless this will be discussed in the next book.

The smut/spice was quick. There is a lot of it, but it was over in 2-3 sentences. It was almost like real life... "he put it in, he thrust and he yells OH MY god." The end. I wanted more.. more angst, more feeling, just more.

Overall, this book was just OK. I am hoping the second book provides more details and answers.

Rating: 3/5
Spice: 2/5
Trope: dark, billionaire, workplace, virgin heroine, instalove

I received this arc for my honest review. This is my first book by Bianca Borell and I am officially hooked. I devoured this book from beginning to end. I was instantly hooked from the very beginning. Ellia and Kian’s rollercoaster ride of emotions hits you in all the feels deep down to your soul. I felt the free falls even after reaching the cliffhanger. And what a cliffhanger it is! The end of this book is the kind that hits you right in the gut, in that sweet spot that will for sure knock the air completely out of your lungs. And even once you’re able to get air, all that’s left is to say thank you. I can’t wait for the next book to be out! After reading this book, I am also officially a fan of Ms. Borell.

This is the is the first book in the Be Mine Duet series it isn’t a standalone and I can say once you start this book you won’t want to put it down until the last page has been turned there will be suspense, betrayal, revenge, hurt, dysfunctional family, hate, hope and maybe even love so get comfortable with your favorite drink be it wine, coffee, or tea you will need it. Family sometimes dictate how we perceive things long after we grow up Kian sexy as all get out billionaire owner off a hotel empire grew up in a very dysfunctional family which shaped the man he is today and emotionally he has cut himself off from other or more like not allowing himself to care too deeply. Ellia is sweet born with an amazing gift an art prodigy just graduated from college, offered a position to make an amazing art collection for newest hotel and with all the excitement she just accepted never thinking it would change the trajectory of her life. This is where you buckle up because this is going to get a little crazy the attraction is instant, insanely intense from the moment they meet and the magnetic pull is so strong between them but the differences are right out there in front she is the typical artist open, friendly with everyone willing to trust and Kian is a walking book of secrets he doesn’t open up easy to anyone not to mention his reputation of being your typical billionaire with women at his disposal but reality is he has so much going on in his head, in his heart, and they say revenge is a dish best severed cold. Revenge eats at you from the inside taking the very spirit of who you are and Kian is such so cold hearted because he has allowed revenge to eat him but meeting the women who he has been smitten with for a while and now she is there in person so staying away isn’t an option their relationship is amazing, intense and despite the issues they face they can’t stay away from one another so what happens when other’s don’t want them together and betrayal may be their downfall leaving them both raw, with a lot of questions, a lot of hurt, family that doesn’t mean them well so where is this headed (I REALLY DISLIKE CLIFFHANGERS) I want to know where they are headed, if they can make it through the twists and turns and will love win but noooooooo ☹ it ends before we can get our answers.

ℍ𝕠𝕥 𝔸𝕥𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟, 𝕊𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕥𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝔽𝕦𝕝𝕝 𝕠𝕟 𝔸𝕟𝕘𝕤𝕥𝕪 𝕣𝕚𝕕𝕖 𝕒𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕕 😍

This one has left me shocked with how things started and the freaking twister. Full on tummy twisting, super angsty feels.

Kian and Ellia will rock your world like crazy.

Ellia is an artist, a painter and she's hired by the Reyes Hotels.

On the day Ellia and her friends are celebrating their graduation, she meets a stranger and feels this irresistible attraction to him. What astounds her is how easily they are pulled to each other and he sure does leave with memories of magical kisses.

Set for her new adventure, Ellia is all excited for her new job, only to find that her boss is none other her handsome stranger and the man who owns the Reyes hotels, Kian Reyes.

Let me say that this one will feel like things are happening quickly and moving too fast but don't get fooled, you're just been prepared for a super emotional and delicious angsty ride. (If you like angst like me)

I have to say though, Kian and Ellia just have that strong connect and their passion for each other can only be described as stiff dreams are made off.

But no it's not that simple, as Jealous Exs and Interfering siblings try to play havoc on their relationship. Not only that, Kian has a secretive and complicated family dynamics which have deep buried and dangerous secrets of their own.

Seriously, Kian and Ellia have wrecked me emotionally not only with their sweet intimacy first but then with how things proceed, I was like WTFFFF.
I wanted to shake them both and Seriously scream at them, like WTF. Yep, these two sure tested me a lot.

If you want something like fifty shades but without the BDSM (Not so much actually 🙄) aspect with a charismatic but mysterious H and a sweet h, with lots and lots of hot chemistry, raw passion, sizzling drama and Delicious Angst, then freaking read this one.
Although, beware this one ends on a cliffy (Sorta) after that roller-coaster ride. But it's so worth it and I'm so excited to see if Kian and Ellia will ever come to their sense. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It’s a decent story and the plot points are great, but it just falls a little flat for me.
There are a lot of missing words, misspelled words, and grammatical errors, and there wasn’t a steady flow with the writing. It came off as stilled and almost every conversation between characters ended abruptly with one party just walking away, seemingly right in the middle of the encounter. I couldn’t really connect with the characters at all, they all came off as 2 dimensional and not as complex as the author hoped they would be.

5 ⭐️s= Perfect story, exciting, engrossing, well developed complex characters, solid plot with few to no holes, descriptive environments and place settings, great mystery elements, realistic dialogue, believable reactions and behaviors, loved this story so much I’d buy it.

4 ⭐️s= Great story, highly entertaining and enjoyable, exciting storyline, well developed characters and settings, a few discrepancies but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Believable actions and reactions, realistic dialogue, a book I would consider buying.

3 ⭐️s= Good but not great story, noticeable discrepancies, grammatical and or spelling errors, undeveloped characters or unbelievable behaviors but still readable. Nothing majorly wrong with the story, just not interesting enough for me to continue. Would not buy the book.

2 ⭐️s= Not offended by the story, but not interested enough to finish. Unbelievable characters, poor writing, many mistakes, big holes or discrepancies, many spelling or grammatical errors, characters not believable, unlikeable or TSTL.

1 ⭐️= Offensive, extremely poor writing, horrible characters, victimization, gaslighting, blatant abuse, unnecessary violence, child endangerment, or any other highly objectionable behaviors by Main characters. Would never buy this book, and do not recommend it to anyone.

Child art prodigy Ellia Dewine shied away from the limelight for years until Reyes Hotel gave her the chance to do what she loves most - to paint. What she never expected was to have an impossible-to-ignore attraction to the brooding hotel owner Kian. While she is open he seems to hold a world of secrets and she fears that she will never fit into it. The world sees Kian Reyes as a powerful billionaire with money and women at his disposal, however in reality his soul is consumed by revenge. Meeting the artist of the most treasured in his collection gets his blood pumping but she deserves more than his cold-hearted nature. But the danger in the shadows will lead to a betrayal neither of them can see coming. Love is going to ruin them both.

OMG - this story had passion off the charts with two people who were just completely and utterly unable to resist each other. Yes, they had their problems, but it didn't seem to hold them back when it came to their relationship. I loved the way that she expressed her emotions through the paintings that she was producing. I was thrilled for them both when everything seemed to be going their way, but the betrayal when it came was just astounding. I am truly broken-hearted at the way that everything so quickly fell apart. I really hope that the next book fixes things as I cannot believe that this is the end for them. Easy to read and get completely sucked into the story and the characters. Aimed at mature readers.

Mine to Ruin is the first book by Bianca that I have ever read and what a roller coaster it was but in the best way. I absolutely loved her writing in this.

Ellia is a artist fresh out of college when she is given the opportunity to work for Reyes Hotels. She then meets her boss Kian and that's were their explosive relationship begins. I wasn't sure about Ellia and how I felt about her at first. But as the story went on I realized I was quick to judge her. She won me over. She's so much more then what I thought.

Kian is so incredibly broken. He has demons and trys his best to hide then. He's got everything anyone would want but he's fighting so much within himself. I'm always drawn to the broken characters....he had my love from the beginning.

Mine to Ruin is full of suspense, it has secrets and a whole lot of steam. I'm telling you this is a emotional rollercoaster you won't want to get off!! I'm so ready for book 2. Bianca had my attention from the first page until the last. I said it in the beginning I've never read anything by her before and now I'm hooked. She has gain a new reader and I'm excited for more!

Mine To Ruin is the first book in the ‘Be Mine’ duet and tells the story of Kian and Ellia. Kian is a wealthy hotel owner who hires recent college graduate and art prodigy, Ellia to paint a collection of paintings for his newest hotel. There is instant scorching attraction between the two but both have major trust issues which leads to a pretty emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.

This is the first book I have read from this author and I must admit, I am majorly impressed by her storytelling skills. The book is well written and the characters are beautifully created, I am totally captivated. The book ends on a pretty astounding cliffhanger, it is a duet after all so this is to be expected. Can’t wait for the release of part two ‘Mine To Worship’ and the conclusion of this fabulous tale. A well deserved 5 stars from me!.

What a emotional roller coaster this book was! Kian is businessman who has a hotel empire. He has a bunch of emotional baggage and a major dysfunctional family. Ellia is a art prodigy and a recent college graduate. When Ellia is hired to make a major art collection for Kian’s newest hotel, she has no idea what she has gotten herself into. These two have a instant connection and crazy chemistry. This is a extremely complicated story with a lot going on. There is major family drama, a insane love story and a lot of distrust. I am In love with these crazy characters and I can’t stop thinking about what’s going to happen next. The cliffhanger has me wanting the next book NOW! The next book can’t get here fast enough for me.

I love Bianca Borells writing so freaking much!!!

Mine to Ruin is book #1 in the Be Mine duet.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster!

Ellia is a child art prodigy and has graduated from college. She loves to paint and when she gets a job offer from Reyes Hotels, she jumps at the chance. She gets to create a collection for the hotels, she just wasn't expecting to have such a connection with Kian.

Kian runs a hotel empire. He has a lot of secrets, and tries very hard to hide them. When he meets Ellia, he instantly wants her, but thinks he doesn't deserve her.

The passion between these two, the chemistry, ugh I love them so much!! So much more is going on in this book, I just don't wanna give anything away. And that ending!!! I can't wait for book 2 in the duet!

I certainly was not prepared for all the emotions Ella and Reyes journey was going to stir in me , or how quickly I was going to fall in love with both characters . A emotional rollercoaster in every sense of the word. This was the most intense story I’ve read so far. It started as the perfect love story and is I got about half way in the events became intense with each page. I loved Ellia and Kian as a couple and how their love and passion grew between them. But as soon as the lies and secrets came to surface and neither of them knowing the truth I was crushed with them. I felt their pain and as I was reading more and more my hear rate was of the charts. We were left with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I’m dying to know what will happen. This is a definitely must read story and I absolutely highly recommend it!

Mine to Ruin is book #1 in the Be Mine Duet. I was immediately drawn into the story, it was intriquing, with a dysfunctional family, a tad angsty, and sizzling heat. The characters are engaging, and their chemistry is combustible. Kian has that air of mystery surrounding him, he is possessive, and revengeful. Ellia, is an artist, she sweet, and trusting. The secondary characters are wonderful too. They added in some of the funny moments. I can't waitfor the next book to find out what is going to happen next.

Ellia and Kian.. what interesting characters inside of their own sin city for sure. So far it caught my attention for wanting more which will be soon of course. The characters have that i am a more dominant figure and want to prove who is better and who is the right attitude. Also, i am getting pumped to read the next book just to see what will happen and I am getting impatient to find out. Thank you and liked it a lot.

★ “You were my vibrant light, the darkness I was in…like a pool of striking light…” ★

—>>> Kian and Ellia belong together but they have a long and twisted journey full of vibrant emotion and challenges before they can overcome their issues of trust and their past demons which continue to haunt them. Their souls are clear as day in Ellia’s paintings and Kian’s brooding eyes, they just need to believe what they are seeing. Looking forward to reading their next book and to reading more from this author in the future!

This is a fantastic story with strong characters and a great storyline. The author takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride with Kian and Ellia's story. They have strong feelings for one another but lack trust in each other. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes and had me glued to the pages and left with wanting more with the cliffhanger ending. I can't wait for the next book!

College graduate and art prodigy Ellia avoids the limelight for long. Kian has it all, success, money and women at his speed dial. Desire leads them to another, trust issues drift them apart. Kians soul is totured, he has a cold heart. Ellia is insecure if she ver will fit into his world. When passion takes over and they no longer can`t resist it seems it works out. But then things turn in another direction.

I received this as an arc. I really loved the premise and instantly am on board with any trope involving art and art curation. I enjoyed the overall plot but the writing style and choppiness of the writing just made it impossible for me to enjoy this book. Nothing flowed and there were little to no transitions. It made it really hard to appreciate the characters and their stories no matter how intriguing they were.

I wasn't prepared for the intensity of the storyline - it's a deep dive into emotional battlefield. Lots of drama, misinformation, distrust and of course, deception. Nice to have an art-angle in the story - Kian and Ellia make strong protagonists and will be good to see where the book goes next.

holy cr*p

This book keeps you on your toes the whole time you read. I read this in a matter of a few hours. The cliffhanger it leaves you on leaves you made if the second book hasn’t came out. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and she doesn’t disappoint with her main character at all.

would've been such a solid four stars if not for the annoying OW drama (H's friend and also former f buddy that he literally keeps around out of loyalty and at the end when he though the h cheated on him the f buddy came over to proposition him and even though he was trying to get her away from him when the h walks in he lets the f buddy stay in his lap and gr!nd on him as like "revenge". idgag if he couldn't "get it up" or push her off right after."

and then the author tries to give her a redemption arc next book even though shes not a huge part of the book (at least) but she starts getting drunk and what do you know the H comes running to her calls "out of loyalty for how she stuck by him when he was starting up his business" and then funds her business idea from afar.

H is NOT attracted to her emotionally and regretted starting up their f buddy situation since she got attached and he is lowk obsessed w the heroine and says all the right things to her, but to still keep her around is insane. on the flip side, the heroine pissed me off with the OM drama.

both of them could've saved so much time if they just cut both of them off. its not even unreasonable because the OW was attracted to the H and the OM kissed the heroine when she was with the H. like you couldn't even call that "insecure" or "toxic" at that point imo if either one of them demanded the other to be cut off--but that shouldn't even have to be a demand, they should've done it themselves.

These two are like a train wreck waiting to happen. You want to look away but you can’t. I got really involved towards the end wondering where they were going and how far they would take things. I felt both were at fault for what happened. But the twist with Kian and his family threw me and I need to know what happens next.
