I love to travel. I get excited to pack a bag and get up in the air on the way to my final destination. I was excited to read When the Seatbelt Sign Goes off. A book from a flight attendant is right up my alley. I never realized how crazy being a flight attendant can be. Nicole drew a vivid picture of not only the good but also the bad of this transient lifestyle. I thought it was all glamour and fun (besides unruly passengers). I found myself engrossed in Nicole’s life. I was tired when she was tired. I was excited when she had new adventures. I was giving her a mental hug when she was concerned for her mom. It was as if she was speaking my own words during her train of thought at the Meditation retreat. Nicole shared trying to find herself, which is something we can all relate to in our own ways. I couldn’t put this book down. I wish I was reading it on a sunny beach in Mexico instead of on a rainy weekend bundled up in bed. For anyone that wants an easy read and to escape into someone else’s life for a bit, I highly recommend this book.
