Ruan's Beach Getaway
Ruan and Sebastian are hitting the beach this time for their romantic getaway. Last time the couple stayed the weekend at a cabin in the mountains and christened every room with their sexual experimentation. First off, even though Ruan's Beach Getaway is the second spicy age gap romance in the Ruan's Getaway Series, you don't need to have read Ruan's Cabin Getaway to enjoy it. You should, because everything Ruan Willow writes is so much fun, but both stories standalone and can be enjoyed on their own.
The opening chapter packs one hell of a wallop, mixing the promise of pleasure with the threat of tragedy, but I'm relieved to say Ruan doesn't string us along for too long, quickly inviting us to settle in for a getaway fling that's slipping dangerously into romance.
Ruan and Sebastian are a wonderful couple, and I love what the story does with their relationship, mixing kinky age play with genuine affection, all in the face of social scorn, mature guilt and fear, and youthful passion and infatuation. It's a story that's wonderfully sexy, with a passionate intensity that gets your heart racing, but it's the context of the age gap that makes this so fascinating. You really come to feel for the characters, to understand both their desires and their reservations, and that makes the erotic aspects all the more significant.
As for those erotic elements, Ruan takes us from the familiar comforts of beds to the ribald novelty of BDSM sex swings, the sandy reality of beach sex, and more. There's a lot of sex packed into Ruan's Beach Getaway, but you'll come to love Ruan and Sebastian so much that you won't begrudge them a moment.

Very Steamy reading, very diverse in the scenes and with a few surprises. I really enjoy that the story also explores vulnerabilities and insecurities between the characters, as it doesn't shy away from the challenges the setup offers.
What I struggle with is that the author writes herself into the story, both in name as well as her background as a writer and podcaster. Seeing I know her to an extent it pulls me out of the narrative whenever her background is mentioned. Oddly, I wouldn't have this issue if it were another name, and she'd mention it's a reflection of her, to just offer that little more distance so the immersion is more inclusive. It would invite me as a reader to explore the female character more, instead of filling in what I know about the author, which restricts the tale on a certain level. I even tried to create that distance whilst reading which showed the depths of the story when it works … but I stumbled on occasion. To someone who doesn't know the author as much, this will probably be less of an issue.

Erotic Romance - Highly Recommend!
Loved Ruan & Sebastian’s story. I couldn’t put this down once I started. I love age-gap love stories, more so if the Heroine is older. Then there’s the sex - lots and lots of it, off-the-charts spice, but it says so in the blurb and lives up to the hype. I really loved the fact that both parties were willing to push their boundaries (sexual boundaries) for the other, which makes it all that much sweeter! Their reluctance to take things to the next step didn’t make much sense at first, but things clicked into place later on.
I can’t wait for the next one in this series. And I have to read the first one!

This book is a deliciously sexual delight. The best part, however, is that it has a story too. Our hero, Sebastian, is much younger than our heroine, Ruan. We get plenty of the sexual variety and pleasure these two have--nicely written. There is an undercurrent of love blooming, especially for Sebastian. Ruan tries to get him not to think that since she is uncomfortable with the idea of falling for such a young man. Her son is not that much younger than Sebastian. But I think he is beginning to wear her down--she loves being loved, adored and worshipped. I hope we get another Getaway soon!

Sebastian and Ruan manage to meet at a beach house. Ruan is thrilled to be with Sebastian but has reservations that there is any future for them as he is the younger man. Sebastian wishes to have something more and does his best to convince Ruan that there is something between them and has the week to do some convincing. Ruan’s Beach Getaway was a good continuation to the Cabin Getaway. There was more spice and experimentation… especially on Sebastians end. The writing and story line flowed and gave more emotions to the book and Ruan’s struggle with the age gap. I would like to see a continuation of the story and if they finally get their happy ending in more ways than one.

My 2nd book of Ruan's. In that this book as more plot than the last one - I'm still going with 90-95% smut and 5-10% plot. This time Ruan and Sebastian are at the beach. This book is like a little better porn movie - it has a little bit of a plot. The conversations are not deep or interesting. If you like reading smut without much plot this book is for you.

Ms. Willow is quickly becoming a must-read author for me. When I want sexy erotica with hawt steamy scenes, she delivers consistently. The lighthearted and exuberance in the sexual interludes bring joy and a smile to my face. I am a bit curious as I wonder if this is possibly a bit of an autobiographical tale of the author. *side-eye to the author*

Wow, this was a very steamy age gap story! Sebastian and Ruan met in the first book and their relationship continues in Ruan's Beach Getaway. The much younger Sebastian adores the older Ruan and their sex is off the charts. However, she doesn't reciprocate because she feels he has a lot of life to experience. His frustration grows as she continues to treat him as a younger man, except during sex where he can be dominant.
There is a deep emotional attachment between Sebastian and Ruan and it developed for me, as well. It's difficult to avoid it since their story is so engrossing. I'm looking forward to reading the next book to see how their relationship continues.

What a book. The writing was amazing. I fell in love with Sebastian and Ruan. They both love each other but are scared to take the next step. Ruan is also afraid of the age difference. There are soooo many steamy scenes, even a 3 some. Can't wait for the next book.

This was a longer getaway for Ruan and Sebastian. They finally start to admit their feelings and I really liked that Sebastian got a voice in this one. I’m really rooting for them to have a full time relationship. Really hoping for a 3rd book!

Spicy reverse age gap!
Ruan and Sebastian continue their adventures from the previous book. This time, the couple hit the beach for their romantic getaway. What stated of as fun is getting serious as both are contemplating making their situationship more permanent. But with their age gap, this proves to be more difficult than they initially anticipated.
This is longer than what I have previously read from the author. This had all the steamy fun that I have come to expect from Ruan Willow, but with a more fuller story. I especially enjoyed the different places their holiday took them and the different scenes this brought.
The narration also brought the characters and the story to life. I enjoyed it!
