Sierra and Romeo . . .
Romeo Jones is an EMT working at Mercury Ridge Search and Rescue. When Sierra Green comes back home after many years, Romeo finally sees the opportunity to make up for not letting her know how he has felt about her since back in middle school.
Sierra has just started her job with Mercury Ridge Outdoor Tours and is disheartened to find her first client for the difficult advanced 10-mile trek up the mountain is a “Mountaineer Barbie”. The girl is inappropriately dressed for this, a tank top and tiny shorts providing tons of exposed skin the ticks will love, brand new hiking boots not broken in (ouch, blisters), and obviously not capable of this hike. But despite all of Sierra’s warnings, the girl insisted that she could do this, although it is blatantly obvious she cannot. When she climbs aggressively up an easy rock scramble, she loses her balance and sprains her ankle, although she carries on as if she broke her leg! She whips out her phone to record her suffering for her media post. So Sierra calls Mercury Ridge Search and Rescue for help in transporting her back down the mountain.
With Sierra now thinking it may have been a colossal mistake to come home, will Romeo be able to convince her that it was the perfect choice? Will he tell her now that he loves her? Will she give him a chance to prove it this time?

I was going to give this one 3 stars but Romeo freaking ran away from Sierra. Legit ran from her and left her to hike by herself. She was fine but who does that?

Laura Lafleur has booked a ten-mile hike with Mercury Ridge Outdoor Tours, and Sierra Green is to be her guide. Since she booked this hike through one of the hardest stretches of the Appalachian Mountains, Sierra expected her to be an experienced mountain hiker. Instead, Laura makes her think of a Mountaineer Barbie doll. Her blonde hair is in a high ponytail, but she's wearing brand-new hiking boots, a tiny tank top, and very short shorts. She'll be a feast for any biting insect they encounter, and they will encounter them. One of her first questions is about the HOT mountain men reported to be in the area. Sierra tries telling her they won’t meet hunky guys on the trail, but Laura won't give up her chosen hiking route.
It's Sierra's first day with the tour company, and she can't take Laura on this particular hike because the trail is an unofficial one and isn't properly maintained. She'll have to hack their way through parts of it. Laura also isn't properly outfitted, and her "hikes" have only been on treadmills.
When Sierra suggests that Laura take a different trail, she goes ballistic! Laura informs her that she's an influencer, with sponsors! She also runs daily on a treadmill. As for snakes or bears in the area, it's Sierra's domain to deal with them.
Sierra recently moved back to Mercury Ridge, North Carolina, after living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She'd also been a tour guide there, but the Appalachian Mountains are home and called to her to come home.
Unfortunately for her, Romeo Jones still lives there. They had been best friends growing up, and she had had a crush on him for years. Until their senior year, when Cal Potter moved into town.
Cal and Romeo became friends, despite the fact that there were things about Cal that Romeo didn't care for. Cal and Sierra started dating and became engaged, but on the day of their wedding, Romeo was the one to come to the church to tell her that Cal wouldn't be coming. He's canceled the wedding before leaving town. She blamed Romeo and left town.
Romeo has always regretted his part in the betrayal of Sierra. He should have never been a friend of Cal's. He should have spoken to Cal about his mistreatment of Sierra. But most importantly, he should have told Sierra the truth about what Cal had been up to.

Sierra is back into and starting a job with Mercury Outdoor Tours and her first client has picked a complicated trail to hike. When she persists on doing the hike Sierra makes her sign another waiver, so she won't be in trouble. Its not long into the hike that Sierra knows its going be trouble and then she needed to call for a rescue team to come get her client. Romeo is part of the rescue team and has had feelings for Sierra for a long time. After her near wedding taking place they had a falling out. He sees her being back as his second chance to claim the woman he has never forgotten. Will she give him a chance?
This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first page. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

A Second Chance To Get Things Right for The Ultra Sexy Mountain Man & His Curvy Heroine
Fantastic story! I absolutely enjoyed how Pippa Brook was weave such a great story into a short novel.
You have your curvy heroine Sierra, returning back to her hometown & you have your hot mountain man Romeo who has always wanted Sierra but too afraid in the past to say anything. Now that she is back Romeo is is not going to waste a second chance.
I will definitely be reading more from this author as well as adding them to my favourite list.

This novella tells the story of Sierra and Romeo. Sierra is back in town after a long absence and ends up crossing paths with Romeo, the man she has had feelings for since she was young.
But what she doesn't know is that Romeo has dealt with feelings for her for all this time too.
A quick steamy romance with plenty of detail and intrigue. I liked the set up with Romeo's brothers (and one sister) so I'm definitely looking forward to reading more in the future. Really enjoyed this one.
If you like romance with spicy scenes then definitely check out this new release.

Sierra has moved back home, she's working as a mountain guide, her client is a very unprepared influencer! They start walking the trail but the influencer has problems. Sierra has to call the local mountain rescue for assistance, of course who turns up but Romeo, her first crush. He let her down a few years ago and she hasn't forgiven him, except there's a miscommunication here.

Mountain Man’s Regret is a sexy second chance at love for Romeo Jones. I adore how direct and open he is with Sierra when he discovered she is back in town. His love for her oozes off the pages, and it’s clear she has a thing for him too—though her past hurts hold her back. The glitch in their story is not unique, but the way the author resolves it is—and I adore how hot the chemistry burns between these two. This 30-minute read is so much fun!

Mountain man's regret is a sweet and short story of Romeo jones and Sierra's love story in Mercury ridge. Sierra is a smart, independent and strong character, best suits for our handsome romeo. I want this book to be little longer the ambience and story line is beautiful in mountain region is so beautiful. I am eagerly waiting for the rest of sexy jones brothers❤.

For a very quick read this story has everything. Romeo Jones has loved Sierra since middle school. Sierra had loved him to but never thought he saw her. After years apart she has returned and when Romeo finds out he’s not planning on letting her go again. I loved this short read, fast and steamy and a great happy ending. Great read.

This is Pippa's first book and she knocked it out of the park. I was in the mood for a short spicy read and this did not disappoint. I don't want to give the plot away but it definitely made me want to go hiking up a mountain/cliff. Definitely recommend this.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last.
It was a short novella; but at the same time, it was an extremely satisfying read. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it within an hour or so; but, I must admit that I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.

I love this book it’s a nice short read can be read in an afternoon. Sierra and Romeos story is short and sweet. Childhood friend who secretly love each other until Sierra moved away after a fated day. When she final moves back they reconnect.
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 for a short book of only about 50 pages there is a fair bit of spice. But it’s still just MF LI with a few spicy scenes.

Super cute quick read, second chance romance!
Sierra and Romeo are the stars of this one and introduce us to the Mercury Ridge adventures. Misunderstandings and not enough communication in their youth sets up this tale. As they find their way back to each other, we get to along for the ride. Looking forward to the next one!

A cute and quick read, second chance romance. Because of their past the rush of their relationship didn't feel out of place. I loved the barbie comparison at the beginning to the hiker as she brought some comedy to the story.

Romeo and Sierra have known each other since high school but never got together. He knows he made a mistake letting her go but now that she's back, he's not letting her go again! A quick read, this was a great little second chance romance and I enjoyed it a lot!

This is the first book in this series Heroes of Mercury Ridge. It is a quick and enjoyable read. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and fit well together. The story can be read in one sitting. Looking forward to read more from this author.

So I'll ask again, 'Who doesn't like a quickie?' The main characters are okay. The editing is clean. And the spices in the bedroom will warm you on a cold night. It's a fun and fast read to fill a few minutes of down time.
