Just a lovely sweet picture book for children. I loved this line from there:
"There's something you should know. The harder it is to say goodbye, the luckier we were to say hello."
Made me feel very lucky.

The book is perfect more so because of the magical artwork. I love the whimsical story of a little boy who’s mesmerised with the beautiful moon he sees at night. He dreams about going there with the help of a magical fox.

The illustrations are beautiful but the writing is daft. Like, just bad, in my opinion.

The fox who stole the moon is a classic children’s bedtime story. It features a young boy who loves the moon so much. One night he wishes to go to there soon. A magical fox hears him and decides to go and get it for him. After all he is a magical fox, with a magical boat and a magical rope. The fox pulls and pulls and brings the moon back through the cold dark night. Although the boy appreciates the fox’s kind gesture they race to get the moon back into the sky before daybreak.
This is a magical and charming book with truly stunning illustrations. The friendship between the boy and the fox is really lovely. The rhyme of the book itself flows so well in a way that will capture a child’s attention, interest and imagination.

Ever woke up happily reminiscing a dream?That's what happens to a boy who yearns to see the moon close by and a kind fox tries to make his wish come true.A beautifully written book with childlike innocence and surreal illustrations.In a world where foxes are considered cunning,this was a refreshing change indeed.A picture that struck me was that of the gentle fox tugging at the moon through the quiet waters of the night to bring it to the boy.The whole setting is calm and soothing,ideal for a bedtime story.My favourite line from the book would be "The hardest it is to say goodbye,the luckier we were to say hello".
Recommended for age group 5 years and above.

A cute story about a fox who eavesdropping on a child's heartfelt wish, decides to make it come true. Told wirh a cumulative chorus, the story unfolds and a sweet friendship as well although I don't understand why the little boy visited the moon at least a bit to make his wish come true.
The illustrations are so-so, full page and rather subdued. It feels like a mixed sort of mediums were used while on those pages where it seems like it should be a continous spread you can clearly see the mismatch where the pages meet at the spine. But then again the book has enough details to provide well-known children's titles on the boy's meager bookshelf..

After all, it’s a magical book
What a beautiful story of magical friendship and adorable illustrations! From beginning to end, and you want to read it again, then. The town in the picture reminded me of Durham (UK), and every kid who reads or has this story read to them will now dream of a magical fox, and the beautiful Moon.

At some point the fox says “the harder it is to say goodbye, the luckier we were to say hello." - that’s such a wonderful take.

Sweet story with beautiful art
I love the art in this story, it colourful and done beautifully. I also loved the interaction between the boy and fox. I hope they meet again someday though hopefully not with another stolen item lol.

mesmerising pictures
This book is just beautiful, it’s a very sweet story which my boys enjoyed. There are parts that rhymed and some that were just normal. The overall feeling my boys took away was that dreams can come true and friendships are special.

The illustrations are lovely but cannot lift the dreadful story. The ambition is admirable but delivery poor. And beginning a book with a rhyming patter and then stopping it after page one is off putting and makes reading it out loud difficult.

Kids enjoyed it
My daughter liked that the fox cared and made his dream come true and the boy put the moon back because it was the right thing to do.
