The time has come for those who perpetrated wrongdoing and suffering on the land of Loretania to face their judgement. Lord Histender and the other members of the deposed Reformers’ Government are in jail awaiting trial for keeping that country in a state of disease-ridden deprivation, alongside other heinous crimes.

Wellesbury Noon and Ezmerelda Dontible, the kind and benevolent new rulers of Harmonia, are looking forward to seeing justice finally being done. But nothing is that simple. Lunkin, the psychotic former Chief Scientist, has one more trick up his sleeve and is wreaking havoc even from behind bars. Soon, Loretanians who have come to make a new life in Harmonia are falling victim to hate crimes and brutal attacks. And things take a turn for the desperate when Wellesbury himself becomes compromised.

Can Welles and Ez turn the tide of public opinion and secure justice for the people of Loretania before it’s too late?

The truth has finally come out that the people of Loretania were never vaccinated against all the horrible diseases in the world. Somehow or who knows maybe on purpose the people of Loretania were not vaccinated. The question now is why and who is responsible for this horrible mistake? The ones who were responsible are now behind bars awaiting judgment.

The people of Loretania are inoculated and brought to live in Harmonia. But there are some who do not want them there. They are mean and rude to them believing they are beneath them. That they are not their equal.

Can Wellesbury Noon and Ezmerelda Dontible, the kind and benevolent new rulers of Harmonia help to turn the tide for the people of Loretania? Can they help the people of Harmonia see the truth? Can they stop all the hate before it is too late for everyone?

I fell in love with this series, Back & White with the first book Black & White. Each book just got better and better. The world-building is one of the best I have seen. I loved the whole concept of the plot in the Black & White series. Reckoning is about a world filled with hate. A world very much like our own world today. Reckoning is a sad and heart-wrenching story that had me from the first page as it pulled me into its depths and did not let go until I had read the last page.

As with all the books in the Black & White series I highly recommend Reckoning to anyone looking for their next great read. Grab your copy of Reckoning today!

A fantastic climax to the Black & White trilogy. The Reformers have been deposed and their trial awaits. It's all just formality now, right? Well, no. Baddies don't give up that easily and Welles and Ez have one last battle to fight.

I love this novel - the arc of the characters from kids in the first instalment to being at the forefront of change and progression and trying to make their world a better place is wonderful and natural. Ez, especially, is a strong and intelligent female character with a calming influence on the other characters. The world-building is immersive. The story flows with great pace.

Plus, there's a good share of tension, despair, double-crossing and back-stabbing. And always a lingering doubt that Welles and his friends are out of their depth.

I highly recommend the Black & White trilogy!
