From the Needle to the Cross: A Journey Through Tragedy to Triumph
Have you ever wondered how someone finds their way into a life of drug addiction? From the Needle to the Cross details a former needle addict's heartbreaking journey into-and her inspiring path out of-a life consumed by addiction. Millions of Americans are addicted to drugs and alcohol, and tens of thousands die each year as a result. For most of us, these casualties are nameless, faceless statistics. For Amanda Sexton, however, this national crisis is personal. Amanda not only lost many loved ones to drug addiction, but she also came unthinkably close to suffering the same fate herself. Through the grace of God, Amanda's story did not end in tragedy as so many do but rather in redemption. If you or someone you love has experienced brokenness from substance abuse, other forms of abuse, trauma, loss, or divorce, From the Needle to the Cross was written for you.

This is a heartfelt, honest memoir. Amanda's journey from addiction to redemption is harrowing. She is truly a walking miracle. Despite some editing issues, I loved the story and only wish there had been more about the true struggles after her salvation, since this part is so rarely explored. Still, a good, inspiring read!
