From USA Today Bestselling Author Morgan Jane Mitchell comes the next installment of her Royal Bastards MC: Nashville, TN series, Valentine's Eve.
Kingpin warned her it'd be better to lie. When she didn't take his advice, Eve's life went spiraling out of control. Although, that's partly his fault. It does take two to tango, after all. But now Eve can have all she ever wanted, Hallow and a baby. All she has to do is lie. All Kingpin has to do is keep quiet. And ignore Eve being happy with another man. Besides, he already has a loving wife and twins on the way.

1 ⭐- Ugh! Didn't like it - triggers - pet peeve! ======================================== R A N T . . . What the fuck is this? Where is the brotherhood among club members? Where's the loyalty? When I finished reading I was wishing a bomb would explode and kill all the members and their whores who are all a waste of oxygen. Eve and Kingpin are the epitome of people without principles and without a shred of morality, they are psychopathic sons of bitches. Hallow was totally fucked...beaten for a crime he didn't commit, stripped of everything and left with nothing in the end. Deep down Kingpin was jealous of him and took out his frustrations and shortcomings on him. After all he was always second best to his brother and he took it all out on Hallow. Sky was also totally screwed, first by a mother who neglected her and then by Kingpin who used her as an object of revenge. In the end it was discarded like garbage. It was my last read by this author. I ended up with a sour taste in my mouth and totally disgusted.
This. This makes me sad. I did not expect to rate this so low initially. The thing is, I don’t like Eve. She presents this innocence but all of her actions(which she knowingly choose of her own free will) say that is a lie. I’m sad for Sky, because I feel like she’s always embraced who she is and most of her actions were due to things out of her control and in the end… she was f*cked over.
Also my main dislike is how rushed and unresolved the ending was.

Well shit, color me totally disappointed. How does a lying clank like Eve and a back stabbing President like Kingpin get the HEA???? Hollow got dumped at the alter, and tortured by Kingpin, for things he never did. Instead he ends up with Kingpins lying, cheating wife in cricketing Alaska. Yeah, not what I was looking for.
What happened ? I am so confused and my heart hurts. Did I miss the signals in previous books that would tell me that Sky was going to be a cheating, lying, spy ? I had an instant dislike for Eve from the first page her name appears, but I felt she and Hallow made a good match. This series was scratching all my itches, but I had to become attached to Sky & Kingpin many books ago. Eve .....grrrrrrr
Wow.... Sure, couldn't put this one down, i am blown away by this one and the really wild emotional rollercoaster ride of emotions. This one was filled with so many different emotions such as love, hate, revenge, lust, lies, deception and much much more. I didn't expect for this one to go like it did there was so much different twist and turns and so much deception but hands down i loved this wild ride with Kingpin, Eve, Sky & Hallow and lots of drama too.
Kingpin and Eve has a wild ride of a story with a rollercoaster of emotions. There is deception, love, lie and betrayal. There is no denying the attraction between these two but what will it cost them? This is a story that kept me invested and wanting to know what was next for these two.
Valentine's Eve (Royal Bastards MC: Nashville, TN Book 7) by Morgan Jane Mitchell is another mind blowing love/hate romance story that begins after Hallow's Eve. Valentine's Eve storyline is intense, dark ,dramatic and erotic full of betrayal, vengeance, infidelity, lies and deception. You will be taken on an one hell of an explosive journey surrounding Kingpin, Eve and Harlow and Sky.
Eve and Harlow's relationship is build on lies, mistrust and misguided love. Eve with the choice she makes before her wedding doesn't make sense but will have an impact on the main characters in this story. Harlow will end up an angry, revengeful man when Eve calls off the wedding leading him on a path of destruction against her and Kingpin as he is jealous of the working relationship between them as feelings will become complicated and extreme. So much mistrust and miscommunication throughout this story as the characters are reckless and deceitful.
Devastated by her decision, Eve knows the only person she can talk to is the one person she hates, Kingpin. Once she tells him why she ran from Harlow, he tells her to lie as he does what he does best manipulates each situation for his own purpose. When Harlow returns he is drunk and begins to attack her and learns about the miscarriage, now he and everyone in the club thinks he raped her but Eve who is hurt and stubborn won't reveal the truth. Through all of this chaos, deep down Kingpin has always wanted Eve and when she goes to him drunk they spend a night together full of hot passionate sex. Hoping to get back with Harlow she learns he went back to his ex Stephanie, upset she leaves Royal Road and then learns she is pregnant by Kingpin. Time goes by as Kingpin can't find Eve, his relationship with Sky is a tormented one, but soon much will be revealed about these two which will affect many. When Kingpin learns where Eve has been hiding, he goes to her and finds out she is pregnant with his child. Kingpin then proceeds to tell Eve she will be returning to Royal Road with him as she is part of the club. Hiding her pregnancy from everyone and missing Harlow soon Eve will learn she has been mislead by one of the club girls who is planning to expose her. As Kingpin tells Eve she will have to keep another secret he tries to keep his distance from her but soon the passion that is between them is too hard to resist as they end up having sex more than once. Kingpin is at a standstill wanting to be with Eve but he still has to deal with Sky who is out of control as well as the loss of one of the twins. Harlow learning that Eve is pregnant thinks he is the father, begs her to give him another chance but their time together will end in a disaster.
You will be on edge when all the lies unfold, hearts will be broken but in the end we see another side to Kingpin as this dark, dangerous, sensual man will finally be redeemed when he discovers that he truly loves Eve. Betrayal will run deep as Sky is being blackmailed, the paternity of her twins is revealed as well as her part of trying to destroy King. With all of the chaos happening at Royal Road the truth about Eve and Kingpin comes out, Harlow and Kingpin end up in a fight as he wants retribution and in the end Harlow makes a bold move affecting Sky's future. So many twist and turns in this story, some you never will see coming. Morgan Jane Mitchell has taken her readers on one hell of a ride with this provocative , dramatic love story that in the end you will have you falling in love with Kingpin as he and Eve will begin a passionate, intense life together one that neither one saw coming. But in true RBMC style nothing ever comes easy. This is a must read, can't wait to learn what Morgan Jane Mitchell has in store for her readers next!
3.75stars-VALENTINE’S EVE is the seventh instalment in Morgan Jane Mitchell’s contemporary, adult RBMC: Nashville TN dark, erotic, MC romance series-a part of the multi-authored RBMC. This is the continuing story of thirty year old, club president Beau ‘Kingpin’ Strick, twenty-one year old Eve Newberry, and Eve’s ex-fiance Hallow, and Kingpin’s wife Sky. VALENTINE’S EVE should not be read as a stand alone as there is an ongoing premise throughout the series. The events of VALENTINE’S EVE cross over with, and run parallel to the events of ROYAL SURPRISE #4, and PAGAN’S CHRISTMAS #6. Eve and Hallow were first introduced in book one HALLOW’S EVE: Kingpin and Sky’s story is revealed in ROYAL ROAD and ROYAL SURPRISE-all culminating in VALENTINE’S EVE.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. If you have not read any of the previous story lines, there may be spoilers in my review.
Told from four first person perspectives (Kingpin, Sky, Hallow, Eve) VALENTINE’S EVE follows in the wake of the wedding that never happened. Hallow and Eve were supposed to get married but Eve panicked when she discovered she was pregnant and went on the run to protect the MC from her murderous past. Hallow, embarrassed and humiliated by Eve’s no show at their scheduled wedding, went on his own proverbial war path, returning to the MC only to take out his frustrations on our story line heroine, and every other woman at the RBMC club. Meanwhile, Kingpin’s wife Sky is slowly recovering from a recent attack and a difficult pregnancy with twins, wherein Kingpin makes it his mission to claim Eve as his own in the wake of the disappearance of Hallow Hart and Kingpin’s attraction to our story line heroine. A married president with an ol’ lady meant Eve was nothing more than a side piece for the prez, forcing Eve to run yet again, knowing she would always come second when it counted the most. Coming face to face with Kingpin, several months later, revealed the secret Eve was hoping to hide, a secret that is about to tear apart several friendships within the RBMC. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Eve and Kingpin, and the fall-out as secrets and lies begin to pull the RBMC apart, secrets that reveal betrayal, vengeance and infidelity at every turn.
The relationship between Eve and Kingpin is one of the forbidden. Kingpin is married; his wife is expecting twins but Kingpin’s relationship with his wife has spiralled out of control, something very few members know little about. Eve continues to profess her love for August ‘Hallow’ Hart, secretly hoping he will return and claim our heroine as his own but Hallow has moved on, and Kingpin is determined to protect Eve at all costs. The $ex scenes are energetic, erotic, and intense.
There is another large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several members of the RBMC, and club wh*res, as well as Kingpin’s brother, country music star Bo/Beau/Bubba Strick
VALENTINE’S EVE is a complex and detailed story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, infidelity and deception, family and friendships such that I highly recommend reading the aforementioned interconnected instalments. The premise is dark, gritty, and dramatic; the romance is impassioned and provocative but struggles in the face of miscommunication, false hopes and lies; the characters are desperate, determined and deceitful. VALENTINE’S EVE ends on a happily ever after for now-Morgan Jane Mitchell’s RBMC couples rarely have a permanent happily ever after.
There isn't an MC book that I can pass without reading it, and when it's written by one author that I adore, it's mission impossible. Morgan Jane Mitchell is an amazing writer that will knock you off your feet in a sec. Her writing is raw and wild, intense, hard, and hot... The perfect combination in my opinion. Valentine's Eve is her latest release and it's the seventh book from the Royal Bastards MC, Nashville chapter. This book explores Eve's life, and what a life it has been. Being in love with one person and having to lie about it is hard. But what can she do? She needs to live her life, raising her baby, watching the father of her baby with another family... Jesus... This book gutted me open... The way it progressed left me on edge the entire time. How can you lie? How can you watch the one you love to get away? Once I started to read this book, I simply couldn't stop. Things were happening, hits were given left and right and I was left shaking. There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly... Honest to God, I really did. Some parts it was hard to read because I didn't agree with what was happening but that's life. Then, in other chapters, I wanted to hold them and promise better days. This book has it all, love, loss, betrayal, hurt, pain, and hot stuff as well. Overall it was another amazing book and I can't wait to read more from this series. Awesome book Morgan. Love it.
Eve first met Hallow in the book Hallow’s Eve. You may want to see how they met before reading the continuation here. Eve’s having to deal with something that will hurt your heart. Hallow doesn’t help by thinking the way he does. He’s a perfect fit for the MC lifestyle.
Kingpin is the man in charge. He has a part in the twist our author has decided to create. If you want to get to know more about him first, you can read his story in the book titled Royal Road. At times he seems to take a backseat to what is going on. Then other times, he seems to be front and center.
Eve seems to be the real main character since the other two revolve around her. The author kept me guessing. I could never figure out where the author was taking us. That was a good thing because it made it a page-turner for me. I know that if I had a physical copy of the book, I would skip all the way to the end so I could find out the answer to the question that was swirling around my mind. I’m glad to see that the author isn’t done with the chapter yet, but I’m still wondering if we will see these characters again.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Have you ever wanted to hate all the main characters of a book but for some reason you just can’t? Well I have to admit this scenario was a first for me. But I had faith in Ms. Mitchell and she didn’t let me down. I still wanted to bop a few heads along the way, but I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out. The book is full of twists and turns and OH MY Gosh moments. There was suspense, heartache, deceptions, misunderstandings, forgiveness, revenge and so much more. If you’ve kept up with the series you know Kingpin, the club’s Prez is a bit of a wild man. He rules his club as if it was his kingdom and people will and do what he says. But when he butts into Eve and Hallows relationship, again, by telling her to lie so she can have everything she wants, things don’t go as he imagined. In fact everything goes totally wrong. Eve, Hallow, Kingpin and Kingpin’s old lady wind up in a world of lust, hate, anger and love like you can’t imagine.
Awesome read/series. I can’t recommend it enough. 2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars
Phew!!! That is how I felt by the end of Valentine's Eve by Morgan Jane Mitchell. I thoroughly enjoy her storylines, writing, and how she crafts a believable MC story. This book wraps up the chaos that has surrounded the Kingpin and his band of bikers! Kingpin's story has crossed through all the other books and in an oddly endearing way, you end up rooting for him. Now, don't get me wrong...he is the master of shades of grey and situations that fit his desires. It will be interesting to see Ms. Mitchell lets him rest for a while or adds to his world.
Eve is in trouble and torn between MC life and escaping. She was torn between Hallow and the mistakes she made in regard to him. Kingpin couldn't let Eve go regardless of his home life situation. There is drama, saucy time (delicious saucy time), death, parties, babies, you name it, it's in the book! I would suggest picking up the entire series prior to jumping in with this one as you will be a little lost with all the happenings! @theoriginialmrsp
Found that I really did not like this book because I still believe that Hallow and Eve are ment to be together. Hallow has suffered so much at kingpin's hands. He was whipped and beaten for things he did not do. He was sent off to do business for the club, leaving Eve alone with Kingpin. I think Kingpin just takes what he wants and to bad for anyone else. It was almost like Eve was 'groomed' to be with him. It was easy to just call Hallow a quitter and a runner, and then just have him move on with Sky.....all the way to Alaska and we are to believe he is going to get his HEA with Sky and he has no feelings left for Eve.
I would like to see these two find each other again. I don't care if Eve has two kids and is going to marry Kingpin. Sky is not to be trusted, she lies and was ready to take down the club to get her baby to safety. Yea, I am just not feeling it.
Eve's life has gone to hell in a hand basket. All Eve ever wanted was to marry Hallow and have his children. Things got out of control and she didn't know what to do and Kingpin told her to lie. If she lies, she can have everything she's wanted. But she wasn't raised to be a liar and she's not sure that she can do it. Eve tries and she figures that as long as she keeps her secret and Kingpin keeps the secret that everything will be okay. But secrets always come out and always make things worse.
I really enjoyed reading the rest of Eve's story. I look forward to the next book from the Nashville Chapter. Morgan Jane Mitchell weaves a great story with fantastic characters and keeps you interested, always.
I love every one of these books more than the last one!! I’m not going to lie you feel like you know what’s going to happen along the way. I will say the bumps in the road make it way more enjoyable getting to the end you may assume is going to happen. I will say the plot twists (yes I said twists as in plural) threw me for a loop. All in all I’m thrilled at the man Kingpin ended up turning into in the end of this book. You are going to love the man this book turns him into. I was a little mad at Eve because she acted weak and somewhat of a pushover at the same time for the baby daddy. I’m got really excited once she grew her backbone and learned who she was.
The Nashville, TN chapter of the RBMC are a special breed. More dysfunctional than the other chapters in my view. I think a lot of that has to do with Kingpin and his idea that he can do anything he wants, and the world is his oyster. Eve and Kingpin have a secret that they are keeping to protect their partners, or in Eve's case, ex-partner. Their worlds are about to combust though when Kingpin finds her working at a small diner on Christmas day. He brings her back to the compound and keeps her hidden away and stays away from her, although it's a fight to do. I enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed all of the RBMC books I've read, even with the dysfunction. That's what makes this chapter unique, just like the others. I love reading them and I look forward to more in the 5th run.
Eve was supposed to marry Hallow but left him at the alter when she found out she was pregnant. Hallow was deeply hurt and humiliated, he disappears. Kingpin is being his typical self, his wife Sky is still recovering from the attack that almost killed her, decides to claim Eve with Hallow being MIA. Eve does not want to be his side piece and she takes off.
A few months later, Kingpin finds her, learning of the secret she had been hiding, one that is sure to cause some drama. Eve says she still loves Hallow, who has moved on. Kingpin want to protect her but with him are his actions always the best? Always a wild ride with this chapter.

Yikes!!! I don’t know how I feel!!! I need more!!!
This book had me hooked from the beginning right to the end. Not gonna lie though, for much of the book I didn’t like Eve. I didn’t like how she was so righteous regarding Hallow but I love Kingpin!!!! I also don’t know how I feel about the new couplings because I loved King with Sky but now . . . I don’t know what to think! This author keeps me on my toes and that is one of the reasons I love her books and can’t wait to read more. I love how she does not follow a prescribed formula and her characters are full of real life problems!!
This book has sent me to the edge of h*^* and back! Kingpin, from the start, has been the guy I love to hate and hate to love. Eve has been irritating as all get out and Hallow just drives me nuts. BUT, their story keeps me turning the pages just to see where they'll end up. They're like a train wreck I just couldn't look away from and didn't want to. This author continues to bring us stories that you simply can't put down. They're intriguing, heartbreaking, exciting and FULL of drama and surprises. This new addition to the RBMC has all of that and more.
Eve and Kingpin's story is sad and brutal as they tried to stay away from each other because he was married to Sky and she had been engaged to Hallow but the wedding never took place. Their attraction was intense and overwhelming but they could not deny their feelings even through he was old enough to be her dad. There is some big surprises in this book that was unexpected but it kept me reading until 3 am just to finish the book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
buckle up this one is definitely a bumpy and emotional ride which i really enjoyed. i felt for sky and hallow . so much drama going on , an engaged couple eve and hallow are supposed to get married but eve finds out she is pregnant and runs which causes an upset hallow to also go off the deep end. kingpin the club prez wife sky just had a hard delivery of twins now with hallow not around kingpin wants to claim eve, i really enjoyed this book . it was a complex read.

I had a love hate relationship with this story and its characters. The vibes with who they all actually ended up with didn’t really click with me but I get why it was the way it was. I still enjoyed every bit of the drama that unfolded and the pov’s between how the characters felt since they were all stubborn with not fixing their messes.

What a great addition to the Royal Bastards MC series. I can’t give it enough stars. This sums up Eve’s story. I like how the book took you back to the last book to refresh your memory. And how it gave you different views from the main characters, Eve, Hallow, Kingpin and Sky. This story is filled with so many different feels: secrets, lies, deception, betrayal, love, hate, revenge. A definite great addition to this series. A must read!
There were so many things that made this book a real page turner from the lies, deception, revenge, steam and betrayal. This was another amazing story by this author in the RBMC Nashville Chapter that left me with my mouth hanging open most of the time. I couldn’t wait to see how things were going to work out for Kingpin, Eve, Hallow and Sky and I truly was not disappointed. Everything working together made this a one sit read for me.
This had my attention from the first word to the last. The characters are just as messed up as real people. They are attracted to each other but it is Kingpen and Eve. They tried to stay away from eachother, but outside jealously and anger finally pushes them together. They fight it as much as they can but in the end they give in to their feelings. This causes problems for both of them, but they stay true to their feelings and come out stronger then ever.
I enjoyed this story, though I had a tough time following Eve's feelings between the two men. She had been hurt by Hallow, who continued to hurt her, and she did not want to let him go. Her soul was drawn to Kingpin, which led to a web of lies. Their connection seemed so much hotter and stronger, and I was very happy things worked out the way they did.
I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.
Eve, Hallow, Sky, and Kingpin really take this book to a whole other level. I mean I had no idea how anything was going to go or to even think everything was going to go the way that it did. I could not put this book down. Excellent read. Loved this one it's one of my favorites in the series. It's a wild ride from start to finish. Expect the unexpected and be prepared for anything.
All Eve wanted was Hallow back, but withher latest revelation, Kingpin advises her to lie for what she wants. But secrets have a way of unraveling and when they do the twists and turns will keep you hooked. The story dives in deep and the characters draw you in to their crazy world. A great addition to the series
