Parents will love the illustrations showing dad struggling as his child sings his praises. With such a awesome and perfect dad the child must find an awesome and perfect present. We proceed through pages of rhyming text and illustrations showing the child's attempts at the perfect gift. I really like that these gifts are mainly activity based rather than money based. The text is reminiscent of other tales that aim to teach a lesson - like "Watch Your Tonge Cecily Beasley." The lesson here of course is that just as the child loves their father and thinks he is awesome, he thinks they're awesome and loves just being with them.

Brief summary: A young girl tries to think of the best gift to give her father because he is such a wonderful Pop. As they spend the day together, each attempt of creating the present is a failure. Will she be able to give her father the perfect present?

A cute book about a child who thinks their Pop's is perfect so they want to give him the perfect day for his birthday, and he enjoys it though it is far from perfect. I like how the illustrations show that the dad is far from perfect (clumsy, bad at math, and has trouble getting a jar open). All of this doesn't prevent his child from thinking he's the best, smartest, strongest dad in the world.

With cloying sing-song rhymes, this story describes a girl’s close relationship with her father and her failed attempts to give him what she considers a suitable birthday gift. Turns out she has inadvertently given him the best “present” of all. Cute illustrations depict their lovely day spent together.
