When the bus Bear & Mandy Logan are traveling in breaks down, they find refuge with a mysterious traveler in a small Illinois town. A place to stay for a few days while waiting for a ride out.
Amid the peaceful surroundings lies a dark secret. One which has left members of the community shaken, unable to go about their daily lives without fear of retribution.
Bear wants to remain uninvolved. But when Mandy witnesses a murder, the duo has a target firmly planted on their back, and a decision must be made. Cut and run? Or stay in place and help the community?
Both choices have possible long-term effects for all involved, especially him and Mandy. And when the situation grows dire, Bear does the one thing he knows best...

I love this series and am really looking forward to more of Bear and Mandy. These two are just fun. Bear is a great character and now I need to go and read the Jack Noble series to get Bear's back story. I am out of sync. I have read all Cassie Quinn and all of Ratchel Hatch and now all of Bear and Mandy! Always waiting on anything new by this author!
I love these books. Following Bear and Mandy. Father daughter duo. I like that they're short and to the point and still keep you guessing and interested. I can't wait for the 4th to come out in June! I thought maybe this was the last book in the series bc the title, but nope! And what a cliffhanger it left off with!!! Oh man I cannot wait to see how the story unfolds!!
The Last Stop - Bear & Mandy stir up trouble in a small town
Bear & Mandy Logan make the perfect although unlikely team. The Last Stop is full of action, bad guys, not-so-bad guys, and a typical small-town populous where everyone knows everyone. And, will know their business within a few days if not hours. Having lived in small towns growing up, there is a closeness that many in larger cities will never know. But even in smaller towns the curse of illegal drugs and the people behind them will destroy lives and families no matter where you live. Bear and Mandy find themselves stranded in just such a town, and it's up to Bear to explain to a skeptical sheriff why Bear continues to show up in trouble, near, or caused by him. Of course, as always, Mandy is right in the middle of things. They do have a wonderful ally in Amos, a local farmer that is too old to fight any physical battles but perfect to lend a helping hand and good insider information. This is a good story and will be enjoyed by most readers.
K.M. Rought has done it again. This installment of the Bear and Mandy series is electrifying and pushes the pair that we know and love beyond their limits. The setting and the “mystery” is grittier and dirtier while also being more down-to-earth and plausible than the previous books. It even goes to an extent that I didn’t think it would for a while longer.
I’m keen to find out more about and follow the new (presumably) recurring character introduced here because they’re quite the match for Bear and Mandy, and never cease to surprise.
The only small complaint I have about this book is that it continues the incredibly condensed-into-a-single-chapter third act climax that I didn’t care for in the previous books. The entire story is well-paced until the point of the big interaction, and then it’s over in the blink of an eye, with the next chapter picking up with a sort of hunky dory song over a wrap up scene. It was a bit of a jolt.
But otherwise, this might’ve been my favorite book in the series. And, as always, I can’t wait ti see what happens next.
This is the 3rd book of a 6 book series. It features a young 15 yo girl and her father. I enjoyed the 1st book, 2nd was OK but the profanity gets progressively worse on book 3. These are cute stories with very little violence and at first seem perfect for preteen and early teens, especially girls. So why the profanity? In this book the author uses the F... word numerous times along with a variety of other words of profanity. Why?? This is certainly not something I would want my daughter (or son) of any age to read.........plus the author is female !!!! Keep your children away. !!!! Protect them as long as you possibly can..... There are plenty of authors that are respectful in what the write.
L.T. Ryan and K.M. Rought have another great book. I was captured from the beginning and couldn't put the book down. Intrigue, suspense, and excitement throughout this book kept me turning the pages. Mandy is fifteen years old, and time just keeps flying by. Bear is a great father, but he is always trying to help others as well. The characters in this book are amazing, especially Iris Duvall. She is definitely more than meets the eye! I hope we see more of her in future Bear and Mandy books. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Looking forward to the next book! Happy reading! 😊
Trying to get to California by bus turns into more than Bear wants. First something in the bus engine explodes, then they walk a few miles to the nearest town with the intention of meeting the new bus the next morning at 6am. Did you ever have one of those days when nothing goes right? Well, this was the beginning for Bear and Mandy. Blackmail, drugs, murder are just a few of the things they had to deal with in small town middle America. This book is well worth your time. Can't wait for Book 4. Do you think you can get it finished a little sooner and maybe not let it be the end of Bear and Mandy?? Great job. Thank you!
When their bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere Indiana, Bear and Mandy finds that they are stranded, and have to spend the night in a b&b hotel. Another passenger (Iris Duvall) learns that they only have one room which they will have to share. The next morning they wake up to find Iris has left them in the lurch and when they wait at the bus stop for a while they learn that their trip has been canceled by Iris. The rest of the book is exciting when the action takes you on one spin after the next. If you're an avid mystery fan then you differently should read this book.
A completely new take for Bear and Mandy . I liked that it was totally believable how they ended up in this town and the twist which meant it wasn’t a coincidence . There’s only so many times you can get the bus to someplace and it turns out to be a hive of criminal activity for you to sort out . Good cliff hanger ending - can’t wait for next book
I am a fan of L.Y. Ryan's books and l have read every book Bear appears in. I especially enjoy the interaction between Bear and Mandy in this series. Can't wait for book 4! If you are reading the reviews, what are you waiting for? Start with the first book in this series and you will be looking forward to book 4 before you know it!
Bear and Mandy get caught up in a town under the thumb of drug dealers after their bus breaks down. The townspeople turn a blind eye to the drugs being moved through their town. In fact, some are being blackmailed into delivering the drugs to surrounding cities. Bear and Mandy help the town return to normal. ENJOY!
From the opening bus sequence to the Final "gun drop" the plot devices ran from merely unlikely to "Are you sh...ng me?!!" Clumsy, awkward and painfully amateurish from a writer I've come to expect so much more from. If you can't do better, Mr. Ryan, it may be time to focus on spending your money.
Bear and Mandy Logan are back with another adventure.
The Bear and Mandy Logan stories are always full of action and adventure and this one does not disappoint. Bear and Mandy are pulled into the underlying drug scene in what seems to be a quiet little farming community and are soon leading the fight to escape this menace.
This was a fun trip until their bus broke down than Bear and Mandy found themselves stuck in a small town where Mandy gets into big trouble and they find the big city is just around the corner. A lot of action and discovering there are still good people who will help
Book two went the same way book one went, way too quickly. As with book one, the action is there from the start, and just keeps you moving along with the story.
It's a good read, it's full of action, it's a good story with good characters. What's not to like.
As always excellent next chapter for Bear and Mandy. Always helping the weak and endangered people. It would be nice to see them settled in a town for awhile. But with Regan and FBI knowing about Bear's past this could be trouble in future! We shall see ! 10 stars plus!!! Thanks, Carl Clause
Love the characters & want to follow their story but I am finding this book a little to unrealistic. Why would they ever be traveling by bus? What happened to the F150 they left the outer banks in? How will they ever explain Mandy not being in school? I am looking forward to the next book because I care about the characters but I hope it is a bit more realistic.
A man with a past and the girl he calls a daughter are waylaid in a small town . soon they see the pastoral setting masks a vicious conspiracy. Not one to let things go, Bear joins forces with a crusty farmer and a mysterious blonde to free the town.
Good book. Fast paced. Nor necessarily believable but the characters verge interesting and the action non stop.
I truly enjoyed every moment of reading this book. It's better than book 2 ( in my opinion ) It's fast paced and exciting. The characters are fantastic! I'm excited to learn more about who Bear actually is and how he became Mandy's father. Thank you for an enjoyable read!!
Continues the story of Bear Logan and his daughter Mandy. As a reminder, Bear and Jack Noble are friends and Bear appears in Jack’s stories. Once again, Bear finds himself in the middle of trouble not of his own making. Well told story.
Once again Bear and Mandy rescue the folks of a small town from a fearful way of life. Bear wonders how and why they were stranded in this out of the way town.
Jerk who seizes power over his small community. Seeking money by threatening everyone in his small town, he threatens everyone by using force to make them do his bidding
Bear and Mandy get stranded in a small town. unfortunately for them and fortunately for the townsfolk, they get sucked into the trouble destroying life in a quaint town. As usual, bear tackles things head on as he works hard to keep Mandy safe.
Another great Bear and Mandy book with them assisting others to handle criminal tyrants. Would like to see them be able to settle somewhere and live a safe and happy life.
Rocking roller coaster doesn’t hold a candle to the ride you are on with Bear & Mandy! A book you cannot stop reading until the end & then you just want more! A Cliffhanger for sure! Write fast Ryan & it won’t be quick enough!
Bear & Mandy are perfect for each other. The love that Bear has for his daughter is so strong and caring. It helps him be a better person and Mandy understands life better because of Bear’s love. I really enjoyed this series. Job well done L.T. Ryan
L.T. Ryan weaves a tale of intrigue and deception in the latest Bear and Mandy book. The story starts with an innocent meeting and evolves into a fast read
Bear and Mandy get caught up in a small town in Indiana. A megalomaniac is trying to build his Empire through the drug trade using kids and the elderly. Bear wins the day but it has put him on the Fed radar.
What I love is that he introduces new characters that can be picked up later in future stories. This was a great plot with some interesting characters throughout the story.
