This book is great. I am sure everyone has had some bad mathematical experiences, but this one was good. It did a decent job explaining concepts and instead of just giving you the (final) answers in the back of the book for the odd number questions, you could access the companion site and get the worked solutions for the odd numbered problems that really helped demonstrate the material in addition to concepts.

I really don't understand why this book isn't rated any higher? This prepared me for AP Calc brilliantly and I actually asked my High School if I could buy this textbook from them.

Good for those who want to memorize the material, not so good for those who want a glimpse of understanding.
