About 20 years ago two idiot men played a game of poker. One, a cheater, walked away now owning a castle while the other lost everything, grabbed his wife and son Callum, and left for America. Callum MacGreggor is now a self-made billionaire and he wants back what was taken from his family all those years ago. Fiona Reid has lived in Castle MacGreggor since birth. She loves this castle with every fiber of her being. She wants to buy it from her sleazy, lying, cheating, thief of a father, Duncan Reid but he holds on to it while taking money from her. When Callum encounters the lovely Fiona he knows revenge is not his main objective anymore. Besides being a redheaded beauty Fiona is very smart and business savvy. She has secreted away from her father, a very sizable portfolio.
Callum and Fiona’s relationship is not the only plot of this story though. Someone is a murderer and is now after Fiona, someone is a very determined suitor, and Duncan Reid is up to no good! You are on the edge of your chair trying to figure out “who done it” until the last few pages. I love Fiona and Callum. I loved the poker party with all of Callum’s friends. WONDERFUL story! I received a free advanced copy of this story from Bookfunnel and am happy to leave you with my opinion. Linda

Fiona and Callum were an awesome couple. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out when she lived in the house that was rightfully his and he was there to take it back. The attraction was there and once you added a bit of angst, their story was going to blossom into something great.

Fiona hates her father for many reasons and when she sees an opportunity to finally be rid of him and his hold on her house, she is ready to jump. Unfortunately, this help would still put her house out of reach. Is she willing to take the chance to be rid of her father once and for all? Callum is finally ready to exact his revenge. The only thing standing in his way is a beautiful woman. One that has jump started his heart in a way that only his friends have experienced. Can he forgo his revenge for love after all of this time?

This was a great story. I was ecstatic to see all of the friends a one together since we rarely get that at the end of Elizabeth’s sagas. The poker game was hysterical, but the unsolved murder mystery was a bit much. All in all it was a great ending to the series.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. This book concentrates on Callum and his drive for revenge against the man who stole his ancestral home. The story itself was really good. I loved the interaction between Callum and Fiona. There were twists and turns in the story, some intrigue, all this I found really entertaining. What I didn’t like and found incredibly distracting was Callum’s sudden change of accent. He went from American to the broadest Scots accent ever heard. As a Scot living in Scotland, I found it really grated on my nerves.
With that moan over, I loved the story and have learned to skim over the dialogue. I received this book from the author. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Staking a Claim is the 7th and final book of the Lost and Found Series by Elizabeth Lennox. It is such a great read. Callum MacGreggor has spent his life plotting revenge and making plans to take back his family's historic castle in Scotland. He's now ready and it's all about to become reality. Of course, his plans did not include meeting Fiona Reid who was living in the MacGreggor castle. A castle she had personally restored and turned into her beloved home. How ironic and apropos that "the phrase the best-laid plans is a translation of a Scottish proverb that was first published in 1786" because it so applies to this great story. Callum's plans certainly were not going to tolerate murder attempts against Fiona. This story includes mystery, danger, excitement, love and lots of planning.

Lost and Found is a very good series and I’ve read so many of Elizabeth’s works and I’m a huge fan of her books/series, but so far this book has been the most difficult and frustrating book to read because of how it is written. Don’t get me wrong, I love both of the characters and the story is okay, but reading with all that “ye”, “dinna”, “nay”,“get oot” is so annoying that in all honesty I have to skip most of the part of the story. I have nothing against the accent its just that not all readers are with that same accent so its hard to read the whole book with that kind of wordings. I hope she won’t ever write in this form again, because even though I love her works I won’t read something like this again.😫

I really enjoyed Callum and Fiona story. This story is about Callum going back to his roots to get back what was stolen from his family and him, but along came Fiona. His first reaction is to her was total surprise, because she was talking to the plants and fell in love with a glance. Duncan Reid is a crook from the first order and he finally got his come upper, I love how all of Callum's friend came to his aid to make it happen; even the Sheik Kasim. And finally Father Finn, another villain of the story, and Bernard, who thought he make a good husband for Fiona - NOT... Overall a wonderful story

An excellent ending

This is the final book in the series and it didn’t disappoint. This is Callum’s story, he is about to get his revenge on the man who stole his birthright. The only issue is the man’s daughter Fiona is kind, beautiful and very sweet, she is nothing like her father. Along with the help of his friends, they hatch a plan to get his family’s castle back. It was wonderful to see the other characters from the previous series added to this story. The plot was awesome, there was someone trying to kill Fiona and a few other obstacles made it very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Good epilogue.

There was a great lot of mystery regarding who was truly after Fiona, which was a plus.

I would like to have found out the truth about just who or what Bernard was.
I was surprised at just how easily Callum fell for Fiona. I figured him to be more stubborn about losing his heart. I was also surprised that Callum fell right into the Scottish accent having been in the states since he was sixteen.
And Fiona, A delightfully tough woman. Strength over years of dealing with her schemer of a father. She deserved to be loved, as much as Callum did. Nice HEA...

Great series

Sorry to see this series end I think it's my favorite out of all of her series. I wish she would have done a follow up on all the couples years down the line. I liked Marcos the best he was my favorite. Rapped up this one to quickly we don't find out what happens to Finn or her father, her father needed more to happen to him after what he did to Callum and his parents and her mother and Bernard what quirky fellow. Epilogue on the couples needed.

This is the final book in the Lost and Found series about Callum and Fiona's story. There was a plan to outsmart Fiona's father in order to win Callum's home back. I was also excited that I was able to figure out who the villain was in the story. Her father needed more to happen to him after what he did to Callum and his parents and her mother and Bernard what quirky fellow. This series showed that their bond of love and friendship is far greater than a blood connection.

The book did not start out so grea for me. It was lust at first sight from the word go and it seriously went on that track for a while. What was really interesting was the mystery in this story. It was intriguing enough to keep me focussed on it. The mystery kept me hooked and I was debating whether the main crook would be the priest or Bernard. I was leaning towards Bernard. It was wonderful to finally see Callum’s friends in this book after such a long hiatus in between. Overall I most enjoyed this book compared to the rest in this series.

What a great story to end the series. This story is about Callum and Fiona who he met living and taking care of the castle he was trying to get back by revenge. I enjoyed the mystery and the romance plus I was happy to see that all the friends got together to help. It was a little difficult reading the Scottish brogue that switched back and forth. Definitely a must read!

I love Elizabeth Lennox's stories and this one is no exception! It's gorgeous with mystery, suspense and lot's of passion. Callum plans for years his revenge and finally he succeeds in the most clever way. The story takes place in Scotland, this beautiful land, in a remote village, the ideal scenery for such a story. I fully recommend this book.

Another great one from Elizabeth. I loved Callum and Fiona, how they fell into love. Of course there are always problems and Fiona’s dad is the worst of them. Also Father Finn is looking through the house for a knife he hid there several years ago. Love and murder great fun!

I understand that they're Scottish but my God is it hard and annoying having to read parts where they speak with an accent, especially for someone whose native language isn't English. It was PAINNN.

Staking A Claim is Callum MacGreggor’s story and he has revenge on his mind. He has waited years to get the man responsible for his parents downfall Duncan Reid. He meets Fiona Reid and realizes that things aren’t quite what they appear to be. He wants to figure out what is going on and as he does he falls for her! Fiona has spent years getting away from her father and his conning. She has worked hard to get where she is and is getting tired of Duncan and his crazy schemes. There are a lot of twists in this one and it’s fun watching everything unravel. Callum’s friends all make an appearance and help him get the castle and his woman! Another great read!
