A monthly list of gardening tasks, what not to do this month, what to read, a favorite garden, favorite plant etc. I intended to read this the month by month as my garden year progressed so I could compare gardening in the UK to gardening in zone 6 in the USA. The I decided to sit back and finish it one Sunday morning.

It's quite enjoyable and interesting to see the similarities and differences in out gardening years.

A book to revisit during next year, and maybe more.
I love this kind of almanacs. They put me in a good mood and help me through out the year. Not only in the garden but also in my life.
The four stars mean that I expected a volume with some flowers, more drawings or something more beautiful. Lets see if the wisdom in it compensates the lack of it. If so, I'll add another star later.

Great library find. I'm not a gardener but this book shares lots of knowledge that isn't all gardening related. Would make a lovely gift.
