Delightful as always and darker as ever, this volume of Noragami was emotional and a roller coaster of events. And yet, it still can't give a conclusion to the showdown between Yato and his father. Still, the art is wonderful and the dialogues are on point.

I'm finally into new territory in Noragami! This volume was intenseeee.

This volume is mostly the final confrontation between Yato and the Crafter. The fighting is top tier and epic. Yato has the chance to finish the Crafter but chooses to try and free Yukine from his own dark nest that has begun tangling up the other gods as well. Hyori wakes up after passing out somewhere with the Stray and Ebisu and Take find the Crafter's island. Also there is an awesome scene where the Crafter tries to tell Kazuma about the God's Secret but Kazuma has his ears plugged by the ever cunning Yato.

Re-reading now I have vol 25 and Adachitoka have announced Noragami is ending this year. :( Incredible action sequences and storytelling between Yato/Father still amazing.

All the hard work and storytelling so far is really paying off. Fantastic characterisation, love seeing the battle between Father and Yato, and feel desperately sad for Yukine as he's looking for his true family. Can't wait to see where it goes.

What to say, it's the same old storyline here as well. I hope the mangakas try to close out these storylines soon - the major scenes are just not having as much impact due to how dragged out a lot of the storylines are (which could be a very different experience with better pacing).

This was so interesting. I feel like most of this volume followed Yato/his dad/Yukine and the gods leading up to the day of purification. I LOVED seeing Yato's dad afraid for once, when he realized that Yato turned him in to the heavens and was truly intent of killing him. It is so upsetting to see how messed up Yukine is and how he just seems to want his sister. He doesnt even seem to like hurting Yato like before. He just feel like a scared kid. I think he needs to see Hiyori and his sister to come back to himself. I want for him and Yato to reconcile. I love seeing how hard Yato is trying to protect Yukine.

I love how Yato's dad wasnt able to manipulate Kazuma or get in his head. His love and faith in Bishamon is so unshakeable, and I love that. I was scared though when Yato's dad mentioned the God's secret. I hope that Bishamon wont be upset when she learns about Kazuma and Yato.

I was expecting Hiyori and the Stray to be in this more, as well as Yukine's sister. I guess that they will be in the next volume more to reach to Yukine. I also still love Ebisu, Kofuku, Takemikazuchi and the other gods and seeing them work hard to find the Crafter's gravesite and save Yato. I wonder what was so bad about the site that the previous Ebisu died there and warned against going there ever again. Also it was really interesting seeing the heavens start to wonder if they have faulted in judgement and deserve punishment.

I can't believe that there are 2 volumes of the series left and that my library only has volume 25... I dont want this series to end. Also I want very desperately for there to be a season 3 of the anime..

Holy shit would you look at that, this volume was not depressing after all!! 🥹 Compared to the previous ones, at the very least. In fact, it was actually quite hopeful. I'm so glad I bought this volume without even knowing ajkdfs

Yato fighting back against the dude who shall not be named and actually taking some points yassssss go Yato. That look on the father's face though, HA! Fantastic fight scenes, can't wait to see how this all pays off. I miss Hiyori, looks like we'll get more of her in the next one (I hope so). Kazuma had me worried for a bit there 😭 lucky his love for Bishamon came to save the day. And I hope whatever Ebisu and Take are up to will end this dude once and for all. Because even though I'm happy on the surface level that this was a more or less positive volume, I'm sure everything's gonna fall back into depression mode anyway, because that's just how things work here 🥰

Even though the battle between Yato and Koto has begun, along with the hunt for the Great Calamity, this volume felt mostly like setup for the future events. The action is carried out super well with great expansive artwork and flow. We get a little bit more information on the Stray (proving my theory correct), and also driving home how she was used by Koto. Yukine's backstory is made even sadder as it's revealed that the impetus for his murder was him sharing his feelings in letters to his sister that were intercepted by him. It's brutal. And now he's being taken advantage of by Koto, wanting to escape the monstrous form he's become. On the slower side of things, we see our two sleuths discover Koto's island (that's it).

The final fight is here, and it is beyond intense. Kazuma, Yato, the Sorcerer and Yukine are battling against each other, and I honestly couldn't breathe during the entirety of this volume. I’m terrified of the way it will end, with Yukine lost in his past, Yato trying to end his literal lifeline, and Kazuma being so close to discover a God’s greatest secret.

I can feel the end coming up, with the climax of the fight approaching, the Heavens being on the hunt, Hiyori waking up and our favorite Gods trying to find the Sorcerer’s grave. Honestly, I’m scared.

It felt like such a long time since I read the last few volumes that I was a little lost with the continuity. A marathon reread of the preceding 23 volumes put everything right. The momentum of the current long arc has been building so well. And, of course, it’s all such a visual joy too! This is definitely an easy shōnen series to binge and enjoy. I’ve only just started the anime, and it too is well done and captures the atmosphere of the manga well (at least early on). It’s all such a fun ride. Recommended!

Debo admitir que, quizás debido al tiempo que ha pasado entre este tomo y el anterior, cuando he empezado el 24 me sentí bastante perdida y sin saber seguir el hilo de los acontecimientos. Ha sido raro, la verdad. Nunca me había pasado con Noragami.
Ahora que se acerca el final, quizás sea buen momento de hacer una relectura porque considero que Noragami es un mangan muy olvidado y poco valorado para lo bueno que es.

Yato quiso eliminar a su padre antes de que ña Amaterasu comenzara su purga, pero no se pudo. Además, Yukine está que se sale más de control y no quiero (sí quiero) saber qué va a pasar cuando sepa dónde está su padre, maybe muerto, maybe vivo, lo que importa es que se va a desatar.
Por otro lado, Ebisu y Take llegaron a una islita que podría ser la solución para darle muerte al padre de Yato sin que este desaparezca.

¡Esto está a tope! Se nota que estamos en el arco final porque la trama ya está en su culmen. En este tomo vivimos la lucha entre Yato y el Hechicero, la cual está siendo muy interesante y llena de tensión. A su vez vemos como Yukine sigue envuelto en esa vorágine de sentimientos y como el cielo se prepara para que llegue la Gran Purificación.

Don't know what's happening, but the art quality dropped drastically. It wasn't good. The story started to get dragged a bit. Like fights in DB... Maybe it's just me, but it felt like the authors no longer care and just wanted to have this manga behind them. Hopefully, I'm wrong and the next volume will be better.

Noragami has become a lesson in pain. These last volumes have been very dark and very sad, and I sincerely miss the silliness of our trio. The writing is still superb, the art is gorgeous, but I honestly just want some laughs. The four panel comics at the end can only do so much. Still, this is a fantastic series and I've already placed a hold on Volume 25.

La pelea más esperada! Yato y su padre se sacan la m****a y, aunque está peleado con su bestie, los dos están en el mismo camino de sufrir y procesar sus daddy issues.

PD. Nunca faltan parejas cómicas y esta vez son los dioses Ebisu y Takemikazuchi (quienes muestran aquí que los poemas revelan los secretos del paisaje).

Dieser Band ist für mich der Auftakt zum großen Finale. Langsam fügen sich die unterschiedlichen Handlungsstränge zu einem großen Ganzen zusammen. Dabei bleibt es spannend. Was wird in den kommenden Bänden passieren? Wie wird die Geschichte rund um Yukine weiter gehen? Dieser Band hat vor allem geballte Spannung. Aber auch Emotionen kommen nicht zu kurz.

Yato spends most of the book trying to defeat Father and at the end Hagusa and Father slip away.

Also, the Heavens are starting The Great Purification, where they come to Earth and destroy demons.

Ebisu's current incarnation is going to the supposed grave/shrine of The Creator/Father.

Lots of action as Yato finally fights his father, with pepperings of the other gods' activities and preparations. For me, the fight scenes dragged a bit. Heart-rending, yes, but I was hoping for some sort of definitive escalation/conclusion/plot point, etc, that would move the story forward.
