What an amazing compilation of beautiful and engaging short stories all written by talented authors. Interracial relationships always hold a special place in my heart and it’s the diversity and positivity for me. And what’s even better is the proceeds from the sales of this book are being donated to a scholarship fund to further the education of black students.

I highly encourage everyone to read this book. You will not be disappointed as the stories are steamy, passionate and meaningful. And if you enjoyed Color Theory 2 as much as I did, definitely check out the authors’ books.

DEVOTED...Aleatha Romig💛💛💛 absolutely loved being back in the Sparrow world I've missed them so...getting an intimate inside look at Reid and Lorna again was wonderful the dangerous never ending war the Sparrows fight to keep the streets of Chicago running is heart breaking sometimes but their work is truly necessary and brave. This was a quick read 📚 but none the less exciting as it always is to see the men of the Tower work their magic...you will definetely be swept away....I've been Aleath'd!!!

Finally an anthology with complete short stories. These aren't just prologues or epilogues to stories you might or might not have read, but stand alone short stories. There is something for everyone here with the common theme of love is love, no matter age, gender, or skin color. This collection contained authors I have been reading for years and authors who are new to me and none disappointed!

I highly recommend this anthology. Not only are the stories great, but you're also supporting a great cause!

This is a compilation of short stories covering a wide variety of tropes but with the main characters (either him or her) being a POC. Being of Asian heritage, I am always happy to see stories incorporating interracial romance.

While these short stories are complete, I found many of them too short for the time allowed for a relationship. I always find it a little unsatisfactory to cover a relationship in 5 or 6 chapters given that the story has to cover the first meet, the sexual attraction (that’s usually about 1 or 2 chapters!), a little conflict and then the resolution.

My favorite story in this collection was Devoted by Aleatha Romig. Maybe because this was not a first meet but a look into the future of characters that have had their full story previously (which I have not read). That being said, this is a great way to be introduced to new authors. And 100% of the proceeds will go towards A Book A Day Scholarship Fund to aid in the education of Black students. I’m all for that!

I received a free copy from the author. This is my unbiased review.

What I love about this anthology is that it’s always actual short stories, complete stories. That’s sometimes hard to find with anthologies. I loved the variety of the authors and stories. I love that it’s all interracial and most of them steamy. A collection of 13 fantastic stories, and all proceeds go to support a scholarship for Black students, everybody wins!

Love The Tie That Binds
This book contains a group of 13 short stories of interracial romance by various authors. The proceeds will go to the A Book A Day Scholarship Fund to aid in the education of Black students.
This is just a couple reviews of the 13 in the book.

Hard Knox by Kathy Mizera & Brenda Rothert--
Monique, 38 is the video coordinator for the St. Louis Mavericks, a pro hockey team. She's newly divorced from a cheating husband and it's her birthday. Instead of going out with her friends to celebrate she's at work. She hears a noise and out walks Knox Bachmann, one of the Mavericks scouts. They end up going out to dinner and talking and finding out they have both had a crush on each other. They spend a lot of time together but will it amount to more?

Boston Dreams-Amanda Shelley
Margo just finished her BA, double majoring in political science and economics and got accepted into law school. Tonight she is out having a good time when she bumps into a guy wearing a Bu Law shirt. Tre, who just graduated, is going to Boston University as well. He and Margo spend time together at the bar dancing and then he invites her back to his place. She leaves in the morning not expecting to see him again. He is in the group with the groom that crashes the bachelorette party and both are surprised. Ending up at the same school is a score for both of them.
I Loved the epilogue!

I can't recommend this book highly enough! It's filled with wonderful, short romantic stories with characters who face racial obstacles yet follow their hearts determined to reach their happy ending. I enjoyed them all, but I'll speak on a few here in my review.

Love Me Tonight by A.L. Jackson, is a hot, steamy love connection that captivated my imagination immediately and kept my undivided attention from beginning to end. I just love a determined Alpha-male and a vulnerable, beautiful female in need of rescuing.

If you've read Aleatha Romig's Sin Series, and I have, you'll be familiar with Reid and Lorna and the other members of the Sparrow World in Devoted, her short story here. It's thrilling to re-visit these wonderful characters, but you absolutely do not have to have read any of the series to completely enjoy Devoted. It is an action-packed, suspenseful story of a time in the lives of Reid and Lorna, a couple in an interracial marriage, whose love and devotion only grows stronger as time goes on. It's beautifully written and their relationship will warm your heart.

Under My Skin by A.M. Kusi was a particularly beautiful short story with business partners-to-lovers realizing that love is so much more than what you see in the mirror. I really, really loved Roy!

I could go on and on about each of the short stories in this collection, but instead I'm just going to recommend you grab this wonderful book and enjoy all the goodness between its pages!

Color Theory 2 is a compilation of short stories of varying tropes incorporating Interracial romances.

Love Me Tonight by AL Jackson is Sage and Juliette story. As General Manager of Club Absolution, Sage met Juliette one night and sparks instantly flew between then. With such undeniable chemistry,  these two couldn't keep away from each other. This story was hott and steamy with some violence and action added and  I loved the cameo appearance by Trent.
I loved going back to the Redemption Hill world and really enjoyed this story.

Where I Belong by Elyse Kelly
This hot and steamy tale is a city girl meets country boy. I love Mia and Jace. They had excellent chemistry and were perfect together. I loved Nana. She was the best secondary character ever. This is the first I've read from this author and I loved it. Another great addition to this collection.

I've currently only read Under My Skin by A.M. Kusi

Tessa and Roy are so cute together. Roy is all the Irish deliciousness you want in a hero. His nickname for Tessa is the absolute sweetest thing. I loved that Tessa had some vulnerability Roy helped her overcome. I think this is something that a lot of women can relate to. I hope they get a full story one day.
As always the spice was done really well. It was sweet and spicy at the same time.

I plan to return to this anthology to review the other authors. A.M. Kusi is just a favorite of mine so I wanted to get their's read immediately.

*Thank you so much Ash and Marcus for the arc!! As a mixed race family these stories mean the world to me.

I am working my way through this anthology and already I am loving the stories I've read! The first thing I love is that every story is an actual short story, a complete short story and not just a snippet of a story.

The two stories that stood out to me right away were The Layover by T.K. Leigh, and Love Me Tonight by A.L. Jackson, mostly because they are two of my most read authors and I knew they would be contributing some great stories to this anthology. In T.K.'s story, I really loved Teagan and Foster. This story of previous college student/enemies to lovers trope had all the elements I love in a steamy story. Teagan was feisty, Foster was over-confident, and together they made the perfect team, once they got past the misperceptions they both had. Not only did T.K. give us that ooh la la factor I love in romance stories, but she also touched on some very relevant and serious topics that people of color face on a daily basis, and what inter-racial couples deal with in society. It's one of my favorite stories in the anthology.

A.L. Jackson gives us a little glimpse into her Redemption Hills world with Sage and Juliette. A one night stand that quickly turned into some dangerous territory. But Sage was the perfect alpha protective man that makes my heart swoon. Juliette is one lucky, lucky girl! I really hope A.L. expands on their story in the future.

I'm slowly making my way through all the stories, but I am really loving reading the gamut of tropes included in the book.

I hope everyone purchases a copy of this anthology, not only because the stories are all fantastic, but because it benefits a very worthy cause.

Devoted by Aleatha Romig

More Reid and Lorna, yay! With Aleatha Romig’s great details and descriptions, this didn’t feel like a short story but, I sure wanted more because I love this Sparrow world and I enjoyed getting to revisit these characters we’ve grown to love. The Sparrow men continue to protect Chicago and this short story showcases not only why they do what they do but also the great bond between them all.

I was provided an ARC by Aleatha Romig for a honest review. Usually with this type of anthology I only read the story I was asked to review. I’m happy that I read all the stories in this anthology. Of course, Aleatha’d was my favorite because she always draws me into her stories and getting another glimpse into Lorna & Reid’s story was awesome.
There were a couple of stories that dragged a bit for me. But overall this was a great set of stories and I’ve found some new authors to read!
My favorite quote from the book was “sometimes the kindest thing we can do is tell ourselves lies in order to keep moving forward” - Shannon Bruno in A Crazy Spin
I guess I just needed to hear that at that moment.

I only read Devoted by Aleatha Romig. Can I just say WOW! I love this story that follows up on Reid and Lorna (along with the rest of the sparrows). I wish this was a full length novel so I could see what happens next. Aleatha never fails to write a good story that I get wrapped up in from page 1.

The Color Theory collections are a glimpse inside a rainbow. With a talented coalition of authors and an abundance of heart, it's no wonder you can't help but fall in love. From sassy to tempting, heartbreaking to heartwarming, emotion is explored from every angle. Once the first page is read there is no turning back until the last story is done.

This is The Color Theory 2: Love, The Tie That Binds Romance Anthology. This is a collection of thirteen short story's by some old and new author's to me. I really enjoyed reading this beautiful selection with great characters and storylines and the fact that all the proceeds made from this Anthology will help support a scholarship for a black student which is not only kind and caring but also a very generous thing to do by the author's involved and I really hope that it is a great success for them and they manage to make a lot of student's dreams come true. I definitely recommend you read this as each book is so well written and definitely worth reading and it for an amazing cause and I thank the author's for there generosity.

What a great collection of novellas. Loved reading A.L. Jackson's story. It was so great to be back at Absolution and read Sage's story. Chelle Bliss had a quick read of Asher which was really good as well. I got to read some new authors which was a great introduction to their writing which I enjoyed. I could go on and on. This was such a great collection and I would highly recommend it!!!

The Layover by T. K. Leigh is a wonderful quick read with a great lesson - don’t assume you know persons circumstances based on outward appearances.

Foster and Teagan have great chemistry….would love to see where this relationship goes. :)

I have read 3 stories out of the 13 in this book. If you are looking for a great summer noon this is it! Color Theory 2 has different stories from different Authors. I have read Love me tonight by: A.L. Jackson and Where I Belong by Elyse Kelly. I have decided I would read a story a day for the next 13 days but I wanna jump a head they are so good. The stories are not to long chapters are 1 and max is 9. Some of the stories have Epilogue’s. When I say 3 I’m working on Not Afraid by Daryl Banner. But definitely check this book out!

I’ll be honest and say that I have never read a single book by any of these authors. BUT that is changing now that I have read these short stories. I absolutely fell in love with them all. I’m only going to list my favorite three or you’ll be here all day just reading my review. You should be spending that time reading the book!

There are two that are really my favorite. Cinder by Chelle Bliss. Apparently these Gallo men are 🔥🔥🔥. Olive and Asher went to school together and haven’t seen each other in a long time. They run into each other while Asher is at the grocery store helping his grandmother aka the 👿. 😂🤣 Asher’s grandmother tells him to invite “Kalamata” over for dinner 😂. The grandmother is funny but Asher insists that she’s really the 👿 but we know he loves her. Olive’s brother doesn’t want her to date Asher but Olive informs him that she’s an adult and can do what she wants. I really loved these two together.

I’m really surprised by my other favorite because I don’t normally read this type of book. But I absolutely loved reading about Reid and Lorna in Devoted by Aleatha Romig. Apparently there is a great series that she has wrote that has them in it. I definitely will be reading that series now! If you like books about the mob or the underworld then this is the book for you! I really loved how she showed not only how loving Reid and Lorna were but the others in the group were too. There was no build up, no meet and see what happens, it just starts after they are married. But it shows such them so tight even after years being married. I highly recommend this book.

The last book that I was impressed with was Not Afriad by Daryl Banner. If reading about gay men is not your thing then just skip right over this book. I was mostly impressed that it was added into this anthology. Not many would do that with this being a romance anthology. The story of Dusty and Ahmed is sweet as Ahmed has been checking out Dusty every time that he comes to the hospital with his sister. Dusty is overwhelmed when his sister is in surgery and Ahmed finally introduces his self to Dusty. He takes Dusty’s mind of off his sister for a while and then finally waits with him at the end to hear how she is when she comes out of surgery. So 👏👏👏 to A Book A Day for adding this story to this book!

This is such an amazing anthology showcasing short stories about interracial couples by some incredible authors!! While I've only had the opportunity to read Where I Belong by Elyse Kelly and Love Me Tonight by AL Jackson so far, I'm excited to discover some new to me authors and can't wait to read the rest!....

Where I Belong by Elyse Kelly

Mia and Jace certainly brought the heat to the small town of Paris, GA! This sweet and steamy romance is about being true to yourself, going after your dreams, and living the life you want. The life Mia wants happens to include a dreamy and oh so swoony police officer who happens to have ocean blue eyes, a ripped physique with a deliciously dirty mouth, and is 100% Alpha-licious. The only problem is will she take her Nana's words of wisdom and start living the life she's always wanted with the man she can’t live without or return to the one under the expectations and judgments from her family....

This was another fantastic read from Elyse Kelly! No one brings the sweet and the heat to small town romance better! I absolutely adored Mia and Jace's story and can't wait for more from this amazing author!

Love Me Tonight by AL Jackson

As the bar manager of Absolution, Sage makes it a point to never hook up with the clientele....that is until the lovely Juliette walks in his club and he can’t see anything else but her. For one night she's looking for an passionate escape before enrtering into a future of misery but, by the end of this night, neither Sage or Juliette are willing to let go of each other without a fight....

This was the perfect taste of Redemption Hills for anyone who hasn't had the chance to read Amy's absolutely incredible series! Trust me when I say it's the HOTTEST town in Texas and those Lawson boys are bringing the HEAT!! I highly recommend getting Give Me A Reason and Say It's Forever on you TBR NOW because they're absolutely AMAZING!

I’m looking forward to reading the novellas in this anthology.
Some of the participating authors I’m familiar with so I’m happy to be getting stories by them.
And I’m also excited to read the works of some of the new to me authors as well.
So not only are we getting new short stories from very talented authors the profits are going to a great cause ❤️

Devoted by Aleatha Romig
Yay for getting a new short story for Reid and Lorna!
If you are familiar with the Sparrow world you know exactly who this wonderful couple is.
If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of getting to know the Sparrow men and their women no worries Ms. Romig gives enough information as to not feel lost while reading Devoted.
I loved getting to visit with these two adorable couple.
The love and bond they share is so beautiful.
And the lust and passion is still there after almost twelve years of being married.
The thrill and excitement is alive and well and stronger than ever.
The story is intriguing and I was gripped right away.
I really hope Ms. Romig gives us more.
And I just want to say how much I loved Jack, what a sweetie pie.

Love me Tonight by A.L. Jackson
This story is sweet and sexy rolled into one.
The minute Sage and Juliethe see each other there is something that comes to life with them.
More then just the physical attraction there is something deeper to what passes between them.
There is some drama and danger which added to the story.
I loved Sage’s protective nature.
He’s strong and tough while still being sweet and gentle.
Juliette is so beaten down.
But in one final act of rebel she enters Sage’s bar determined to have one night of someone loving her.

Cinder by Chelle Bliss
I can’t get enough of the Gallo men!
Asher runs into an old high school friend Olive.
These two are adorable and have had crushes on each other since their school days.
Olive is not only beautiful but smart to boot.
And that gives her the seal of approval from Gram aka The Devil 😂
"Ask Kalamata over for dinner."
Funniest line in the story and I fell out of my seat laughing

As I read and finish a story I’ll edit my review.

This is the first time I have read a anthology and I’m so happy I read it. I didn’t know what to expect and if I was going to be able to read them all but my god the feels, the sizzling scenes and the heart I felt it all. I am a huge fan of Al Jackson and the redemption hill series is becoming one of my favourites so when I found out sage was getting his own book, I need to grab myself a copy but what I didn’t expect to love every other story in this anthology. I love much of a mix there was of tropes. I love love love diversity and because of this anthology I’m going to go stalk the other authors and demand they write full length books. So many good reads and I honestly sat down and read it one sitting. This anthology is a tease and fingers crossed we get more from each story as standalones.

I received an arc to give an honest opinion and so glad I did because it’s worth it and would happily buy it.

I received this free eARC novel from one of the authors. This is my honest review.

I've read one book so far in this anthology and I absolutely loved it! Under My Skin by A.M. Kusi is just as fantastic as every other book they have written, and of course it left me wanting more for these characters. That's par for the course for me though!

Roy is such an interesting person and I would have loved to get into his mind and see more of his past to see how he had become the man he is now.

And Tessa is such a strong woman, who has gone through an emotional past. It was hard seeing such a strong person be so self conscious of herself because of how her ex treated her. Seeing Roy treat her how she should it was so fantastic and just really showed how amazing people can be.

Eventually I plan to read the rest of the books in this anthology. Anthologies are hard are hard for me to binge through because I always connect with the characters and transitioning to another storyline is a bit rough. I know that I will love all of the other stories though and can't wait to read all of them!
