Spawn of Darkness #1-4

Spawn of Darkness: The Complete Series

Rate this book
They like their women barren in more ways than one, void of the bits that make them anything other than an object of male desire. A woman doesn’t need her faculties, or her body in one piece to open her legs.

Dark, brutal, and punishing—this is the world Dell was brought up in. Nothing more than a Lesser Fae female, owned by a master who sells her body to the highest bidder and takes what’s left for himself. She’s been through it all. She’s witnessed it all. She’s survived it all … so far.

Dell unwittingly binds herself to the Sun Gods—four primal, territorial High Fae males who have a taste for power, pain, and pleasure. But they want more from her than she initially expected.

They can read, control, and govern her body. They can see through her lies, sense the secrets she’s been cowering from for years. For Dell, the only thing worse than trying to survive the darkness, is the prospect of being dragged back into the light.

This is the entire Spawn of Darkness series—285,000 words written in mixed POV. It features a strong, albeit mentally shattered female lead, and four protective High Fae Gods who will do everything in their power to protect her.
It is a slow burn reverse harem romance with sensitive and taboo subjects, sex slavery, offensive language, explicit sexual content, and violence; particularly as the series progresses. It contains content which some readers will find triggering. Intended for a mature audience aged eighteen years and over.

I really don’t know how to rate this book and it took me a week to think about it. My range would be 1.5-4.5. If I didn’t read the complete set I would not have finished the series. There were parts that I absolutely loved and hilarious parts that made me laugh out loud. But some of the dark parts were horrible. I don’t have many triggers and it was rough for me. I feel like the FMC was violated more than the good times spent with MMCs. I would have like to see more relationship development before they were all instantly all in. I don’t even feel they had any type of decent conversation first. Please be careful if you have triggers because there are a lot of rough spots especially the first 40%.

Brutal and beautiful

Wow. This series absolutely captivated me, right from page one. Brutal... Dell is a fierce survivor of abuse at the hands of so many but still manages to maintain and keep sass and hope and love. And forgiveness, which is breathtaking (made heart clench and shed tears too). I found myself mentally promising "one more chapter" only to look and see it was 3 a.m. Maybe not for everyone (graphic rape, psychological abuse, sassy swearing, reverse harem) but I definitely will recommend to friends and other readers with that warning, it was magical! And her men swoon worthy too.

Such an underrated series, as soon as I see people asking for recommendations this is the series I recommend. I've re-read this so many times one that I come back to continuously. I love Dell and her sense of Humour but also her strength to survive. Yes this book has Triggers but please read it all and you will fall in love with this series especially the main character, she has had me laughing out loud, crying, I was in a mess waiting for the other books to come out and now you can have it all in one go. #goldbaginastar

dark but beautiful

Almost as dark as it gets. But I’m okay with that. It was still beautiful, and I loved the ending
