This novella delivered so much and reminded me just how much I love the ZA series. ToryDarius was everything, and I really missed them. BlueLance absolutely killed it, as always.

I hated her. That had to be the truth, I had no choice in it. But if hate tasted like this, then it was too perfect to resist, because she was the oxygen I hadn’t realised I needed to be breathing, and I was nothing but a flame dependant on her to survive.

Loved it!!! This is a short little novella with alternate pov chapters of scenes we have already read in the series. I am always happy to get any extra ZA content especially if it’s Prof Lance Orion. His chapters were of course gold!!!
There were some chapters from a different series too I read them bc I was curious, not bad even though I didn’t know what was going on 🫠

Seth sends you snuggles, Caleb shoots you a wink, Orion pretends he doesn’t care, then grins at you when no one’s looking

No new facts, just the scenes we know and love told by the boys. The pool scene is one of the best parts of this series and Orion’s pov is perfect 🫠😍 My life is complete 😌

And the sex ed!! I mean 😂🤣😂

Darius is mostly his moronic self when it comes to Tory, so I enjoyed his chapters a little less. Still enjoyed them though! 😁

This book mostly retells stories we’ve already read just from different povs, so I found myself skimming through a lot of it. That said there were a couple of moments that completely pulled me back, especially Lance’s pov of the pool scene from book two. I was absolutely sat and seated for that and it was everything 😍

Another standout was Shimmering Springs from Darius’s pov, which honestly just made everything hurt even more after how the fourth book ended. As if I wasn’t already emotionally wrecked enough.

There was also an epilogue from a different series at the end, which I didn’t even try to read.

I won’t lie I was kind of mad going into this after finding out there wouldn’t be anything new in these stories and I was honestly surprised by my own willpower to even pick it up. But I’m really glad I did, because I ended up having a genuinely fun time with this one.

Even though I knew the scenes by heart I was still giggling and kicking my feet while reading. Clearly I’m weak for these characters and at this point I’ll take every crumb I can get 🙈

I’d claim this girl who haunted my dreams as often as she did my waking reality. I’d figure all the rest of it out later, because I had never wanted something so intensely in my life, and I was tired of living my life like a zombie with its heart torn from its chest. I wanted to feel something again, even if it was selfish and could cost me everything.

Every ZA chapter healed and destroyed me. I cried, I laughed, I swooned and mooned. These lot had me sweating from anxiousness one second to sweating thru my pants gripping my sheets the next. Nothing in this world has given me the same high since ZA and I’ll forever chase that feeling. Bluelance and torydarius are home to me ︎♥︎

DARCY’S AND ORION’S CHEMISTRY IS INSANE. They are my favourite couple ever. Seeing them in the next books is what keeps me going 🙏 It’s rare I read about a couple which makes me giggling, crying and just feeling for them like they are real people…I just LOVE them!!

Now, Tory and Darius are absolutely crazy. I love them together, I really do but the way Darius acted in the last chapter made me mad as fuck. This scene is definitely better from Tory’s perspective. She actually sounds like she is attracted to him on deeper level while explaining why this whole chananiging would be a bad idea. AND I KNOW WHAT DARIUS FEELS…but he sounded mean to me.

Tory - Darius angst and hottness, magic and Orion-Darius bromance. How could I have missed it?

"I’d even put a student through a gruelling detention the other day because I’d heard him telling his friends he’d caught sight of Darcy’s panties when she’d been knocked over by an earthquake Caleb Altair had sent her way during earth Elemental class."

Ahhhhhh, Orion, Orion, will I ever get enough of you? Probably not, lol.

“You're supposed to fight back,” I growled, wondering if she might.
“I will if you try to bite me, but that's not what you want.”

Aghhhhh... I loved this chapter the most. Leon calling Orion to talk to him about his line was a total laugh and seeing through Lance's eyes all the angst made me want to re-read ZA. Which I will probably do before the 8th book comes out.

“Caleb Altair, of course. I want to start a merch line called ‘Horny for the Horn’ - isn’t it great? I’ve already got miniature statues of Caleb fucking a tiny blow-up Pegasus, and when you press a button on the side, his hips start thrusting.”

I'm sorry, but THIS IS SUCH A LEON THING to do.

🔴 Part 4: ZODIAC ACADEMY 4: SHADOW PRINCESS
DARIUS ALTERNATE POV
THE SHIMMERING SPRINGS

“But I could make a fortune selling footage of the things I get up to with my pack, Grus. A fortune.”
Geraldine scoffed at his claim. “I would sooner watch a Griffin getting amorous with a sponge cake than endure the sight of your sweaty buttocks attempting to plough the lawn.”

Darius being the ever tortured soul, Geraldine putting the Heirs in their places with that impossible to decipher language of hers, a bit of Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac hints, some Caleb-Darius jealousy and very hot and steamy scenes; I really really miss ZA

🔴 Part 5: KINGS OF QUARANTINE
BONUS EPILOGUE

“Last time I went against Lord Squiddington’s punishments, he hired a pack of gangbangers to tie me to a cop car with my pants around my ankles and my bare ass out. I spent a night in a jail cell for public indecency, and they didn’t buy my shitty story about being the victim of a bachelor party,” Nash said.

Squid, pranks, punishments and Saint being Saint. Just in case you missed them as much as I did.

okay is it fair to rate this collection of alternative povs five stars? probably not, but don’t really care

this was everything!! i missed zodiac academy so much as these characters became an integral part of me when i was reading these books, so being back in the solaria universe and reading familiar scenes from the other povs [darius and orion’s specifically] felt like coming home 🥹

torydarius scenes from darius’ point of view hit different as his obsession with her in the first
couple of books was sooooo intense 😮‍💨

the same goes for bluelance – reading how strongly orion feels about darcy from the very beginning is just everything!

I honestly just read this because Lance is daddy and I wanted to read his pov but I did like reading Darius's too, even though reading his kinda pissed me off because somehow he always manages to do that.

And I really loved the Kings of Quarantine bonus epilogue. It was funny and I loved reading about these characters again, even if it was just for one more chapter.
