I have to calm myself down a little bit before writing this review...

I can't really express with words how much I loved this book!!!

I was so plunged in this story!

The romance is so good! And the steamy scenes (what are we talking about) !!! 🔥🔥🌶🌶😍😍😍

I really loved the tension between Ares and Danielle!

Fantasy readers if you like to read books filled romance "Moonlight Awakening" is exactly the one you are looking for!

Full disclosure, I received an ARC copy of this for an honest review!

I really love the characters in Saam's books. The women take no sh*t, and stand up for themselves, and the men are alphas wrapped around a gooey, cinnamon roll center. This was a 5 star read for me. I liked watching Danielle resist Ares, but ultimately fall under his spell. I mean, who can resist a big Greek guy, with mad bedroom skills, who is also a Werewolf?

Many women have tried, all have failed.

The book offers family drama, a wonderful love story, smutty wonderfulness, mystery, and lots of warm fuzzies. I can't wait for the next installment.

Seriously, read it. Read it for the feels, read it for the spice, but first, make sure you read Midnight Inferno, which is the first book in the series!

This second book is just as good as the first one. It's got romance and mystery and a beast of a werewolf who loves his mate to distraction.

I love Ares, but boy did Danielle have me pulling out my hair. And also, this mystery is killing me. I need to know who Micheal is. And Alex.

not as good as first book

K so if you’ve read the first book just know this one is slightly a harder read. I feel like the author sometimes forgot where she had placed side characters or simple things and then totally contradict it. So i got hung up on that a few times.
Also the FL had a tendency to just be really annoying and childish. She gets mad he wants to work on a project with her that i was his project to begin with. Did he only insist on being on it just to be close to her? Ya. But her throwing a tantrum and being so mean to him even though he’s only ever been nice to her just really gives me ick for a FL.
And she has all this trauma supposedly with dudes only wanting to sleep with her when she literally says that’s all she is willing to do.
I just felt like this book and FL had a lot of flaws. I literally held on cause i love the ML so much.
He’s adorable and funny and so sweet. I want one.

Moonlight Awakening is the second book of the Bloodthirsty Series by Saam King, and it is Ares and Dani’s happily ever after.

Ares is the beta of the pack, a strong, intelligent and fierce protector with dimples, a permanent smirk and mesmerizing blue eyes. Dani is an independent, suspicious and emotionally jagged woman who is struggling between the happiness that her sister is feeling and the answers that nobody is giving. She is certain that there is something wrong with Ares and the company but, with her suspicions, she ends up bringing more problems than solutions to every one that she holds dear.

Saam King kept the fast paced narrative, with a new threat to the pack and emotional (both gut wrenching and swoon worthy) scenes.

Ares is one of my favorite characters and I am happy to know that all his dimples and witty comebacks will be loved for eternity!

Worst FMC I think I have ever read. She’s bitchy, angry and stubborn for no reason. She makes stupid choices like running off into the woods to cuddle with a wolf even after she sees a wolf attack her sister’s boyfriend and is told to stay inside. She’s a jerk to the MMC whose head over heels for her. She doesn’t owe him anything but instead of setting healthy boundaries and telling him why she isn’t interested in a relationship she’s just bitchy. She was also a jerk to her sister who was clearly happy and in love and instead of being happy for her sister she calls her selfish for finally putting herself first.

MMC is a bit too much of a golden retriever character following after her, begging for attention. I wish he had backed off a bit and had given her the cold shoulder and respected her no until she got over herself.

I received this as an ARC and was so excited to read it as I LOVED The first in series! This one did not disappoint! Danielle is so different than her sister was in book 1 and even though I get why she was so suspicious, I wanted to shake her! And Ares is book boyfriend! He was so torn because he wanted her so badly and didn’t want to lie or keep secrets but his family forbid him from telling her the truth! Even though she tries to fight the connection she feels, their chemistry was too strong and hot!! Great spicy scenes but slow burn (the payoff was so worth it)! I love how the story played out and the character arcs are chefs kiss! Now I need the next book to hurry up so I can read about the next couple and catch up on the first two!

Extremely disappointed in this installment. It‘s hurriedly written and reads more like a first draft. Poor pacing. Ineffectual and indecisive FMC. The reason for not disclosing who/what they are to the FMC was weak. But what irked me the most were the continuity and transition errors. For instance, FMC is lying on bed one moment then standing in the MMCs arms the next and being walked backward to the mattress she was *just* lying on the paragraph before—there were quite a few mistakes like this. It’s also too long for the story being told. There isn’t much substance and would likely read tighter if it was edited down.

Danielle is the alphas wifes sister, and she is very suspicious about what is going on in this household. Ares is the beta of the pack, and discovers his mate is Danielle. He stops at nothing to court her, but the secret he is required to keep is causing issues in his mating plan.
After a threat to the pack occurs, Danielle realizes that fighting against Ares is futile.

I am loving this series, and cant wait to find out what happens to the rest of the packmates.

I have been on such a shifter kick lately and this series has me so invested, not only in each character love story but in the plot continuation as well.

It seems that more people enjoyed book one more than this one, I may be on the opposite side of the fence on this one because I feel like this one had so much more going on behind the scenes and answered questions that I had while giving me more questions.

I'm excited to see where this series goes.

Ares and Danielle are one of my new favorite book couples. They're relationship is hot, passionate and they click so well. I'm a huge fan of shifter romances and Saam King is a new favorite shifter romance author of mine. This series does not disappoint! It's got the action, the spice, twists and turns, and a great storyline in general. I am really excited to see where the next book takes us.

Beautiful!

Ares is patient, kind, and smoking hot. Dani is stubborn, defiant, and too smart for her own good. Together, they're the perfect balance to each other.

This continuation of the series is one step closer to facing the threat that's looming over the pack with an amazing love story included! The heat sizzles between Ares and Dani! I can't wait to start the next book.

Ares!!!

I’m really liking this series. This is book two and so far Ares is my favorite! He is charming, down to earth, and just a bit dominate. He is perfect! Dani is a force and they are fantastic together. I love how the normally confident and collect man stumbles over himself with her but will protect her at all costs.

If you fell for Damon then you will trip over yourself for Ares. Danielle doesn't go down easy and it's a tantalizing story of Ares finally winning her over. As always, Saam King's writing is flawless and pulls at your heart while not losing the alpha in your alpha male.

I love when a series interconnects characters from previous books into the newer books. The end of book 1 sets you up for book 2 but it doesn't even begin to hint at the plot twists that will inevitably keep you entertained!
