Jameson Force Security #7

Nom de Code : Vie secrète

Rate this book

It’s a Sawyer Bennett book, of course I loved it! Bennet continues her Force Security series with a lighter but no less sexy and exciting tale about the seemingly untamable Cage Murdock and the woman captured his heart.
“Every kiss was perfect, everythough was spine-tingling, and the orgasms… mind-blowing.”

As a former Navy SEAL, Cage Murdock is used to facing danger. He’s afraid of nothing except losing his new bride once she finds out he’s not a used car salesman as he said he was when they met. He kept making up reasons to not tell until he runs out of time when he and his team are forced rescue her. Can he save both her and his marriage?

Oh boy! Having read Code Name: Ghost (the previous book in the series) I knew a bit about Cage’s story (don’t worry if you haven’t all of the books in the series are complete stand alones) and I Could. Not. Wait. to read EVERYTHING about him.

You see, Cage is not just gorgeous and capable. He’s also super nice and a great friend. He just didn’t believe in relationships and lied about his exciting career to make himself attractive enough for fun, no strings, one nighters. When he meets Jamie, he never though a harmless lie would come back and bite him spectacularly in the derriere.

I loved watching the commitment-phobe fall in love with the smart, compassionate, funny and laid back woman. Their connection went beyond the physical. Their relationship was effortless. This story was so much fun to read. Add dollop of charming Force Security members, sprinkling of sexiness, and a dash of suspense and you have a guaranteed great read.

Code Name: Rook is book #6 of the Jameson Force Security series by author Sawyer Bennett. It is a standalone contemporary romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending. Sub-Genre: romantic suspense.

Being a highly skilled operative for a company like Jameson Force Security is exhilarating and important work…until it comes time to date. I like to keep my profession under wraps for a number of reasons. Some of what we do is top secret, most of what we do is dangerous, and more than one woman has tried to latch onto me because she was more enamored with what I do than who Cage Murdock really is. And since I’m more of a ‘here for the night’ than a ‘here for forever’ kind of guy, what’s the harm in a little white lie about my job?

My harmless deceit has never failed me. Until now. Because I met the most amazing woman and did the unthinkable. I married her. And now my beautiful, unsuspecting, probably-going-to-leave-my-sorry-behind-when-she-finds-out-the-truth wife doesn’t know that I’m not a used car salesman like I told her when we met.

As it typically does with lies, the truth is about to come out in a big way when Jaime unwittingly gets herself mixed up with some unsavory characters and I, along with the team at Jameson, have to intervene. Now I need to save my girl and hope I can save my marriage too. Let’s just say I have some serious explaining to do.

3.5 Just Needed To Say It Stars
* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free- Limited Time, Only 99 Cents!!!
I like thrillers, intrigue, and those who are mastering them. Jameson Force Security has dealt with all sorts of challenges all tied to the main fella finding his partner. Somehow I have missed reading all of them, bad Wendy. Bad Wendy because I happen to love the way Sawyer Bennett writes. I have been reading her for years and she always delivers.

In this entry, we have a charming fun guy named Cage.
He's a past Navy Seal and loves the rush of doing the contracts he is part of with Jameson. He has a solid relationship with his family, friends, and co-workers. He holds his own out in the field rescuing the people in danger and supports his brothers in arms. His job can be life-threatening or easy, it doesn't matter to Cage, he will give it his all.

Cage hasn't been into relationships, friendly hookups work for him. He even has a system to make sure he doesn't have a woman think he is a catch. He never reveals his actual career. He lets the woman think he has a boring job and he is easy to forget and move on.

His system has worked well for Cage until Jaime Dolan. How was he to know connecting with her would become something so much more than the "usual".

Jamie was at the same bar as Cage, both were relaxing and after flirting, talking, drinking, and deciding to get together, fireworks went off. Emotional explosions and rockets happened between them. Both connected on a level that was not Hookup Territory. Nope, this was something more.

In a perfect world, Cage would have told Jamie after he started dating her, like really dating which he never did, that he wasn't how he represented himself. He would have said, Yo...I work at a Top Secret Security Company saving people all of the time. But unfortunately, he didn't. Instead, he worried about it, talked himself out of it, and continued the lie.

Jamie was a woman who cared about things. She had experienced lying in a past relationship and she wasn't interested in having any more. She had a career that was important, being the one to help women and children who were dealing with domestic violence. As a social worker, she believed in making a difference. She cared.

These two start to bond and not just because they are having incredible sex. They talk, laugh, actually watch movies on Netflix. They are having a surprising relationship...but with Cage still hiding what he actually does.

There is also more to the tale, Jamie's older brother is into some stuff that will be a problem and he is not owning up to it.

The book flows, Cage is sweet, Jamie is good but I had issues with the withholding of Cage's truth. All works out, everyone comes together, and all of the Security Force Crew make appearances.

Cage and Jaime.

We already heard a bit about them in the last book. This takes place at around the same time.

They met one night in a bar and it was insta attraction and ... kinda insta wedding a little bit later.☺

But unfortunately - or rather because he's used to doing it with one-night stands - Cage tells her he's a used-car salesman. Which is pretty far from the truth. He's obviously an ex SEAL who is now working in private security.

Let the fun times begin.

description

Another great book in this series!

We finally hear the whole story about Cage's insta-wedding! LOL!

Cage and Jaime are so perfect for each other. If only he hadn't lied to her that first night!

I really loved reading this. Funny, sexy and exciting!

Great romantic suspense! Can't wait for the next two guys - we've already been teased! ☺

This could be a really great TV Show!!!

CODE NAME: ROOK was a sexy & funny & exciting 6th book in this romantic suspense series! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Cage - this one is mine!

Code Name: Rook was the sixth book in Sawyer Bennett’s Jameson Force Security series.

Cage Murdock was a former Navy Seal who was now an agent with Jameson Force Security. We met him previously as the player who never intended anything after one night with a woman. He totally didn’t understand monogamy and why his fellow agents were dropping like flies. Until Jaime.

Jaime Dolan was a social worker who had just dumped her cheating boyfriend. She wasn’t upset about the boyfriend but she was upset with the betrayal. Honesty and loyalty were everything. Her best friends convinced her that one night with a gorgeous sexy stranger would cure all.

The timeline began at the same time as book five, Code Name: Ghost. Bennett superbly navigated through the shared stories adhering to the details within the previous book while diving deep into Cage and Jamie’s courtship. We knew from reading the description (and from the previous book) that Cage had lied about his employment and that he had married her - still with the lie intact. The majority of the storyline revolved around the relationship development and the lies that continued to build off each other. Bennett also introduced the unknown conflict within Jaime’s life and entwined all the plots.

All in all, it was a quick, captivating and entertaining read. Bennett also included an all star supporting cast through the Jameson team members and Jaime’s siblings. The stage was set for Jackson and Corrine’s stories - for the next two books, but I’d love to see Jaime’s siblings with books as well! Another Bennett success and I can’t wait for more!

<><> Story Overview <><>
The book blurb explains it well. The only thing I would say is this statement “Jaime unwittingly gets herself mixed up with some unsavory characters” isn't the way it happened.
Jaime’s brother is the one who gets mixed up with unsavory characters. Unfortunately Jaime is a pawn used in their game.

<><>Characters<><>
Hero: Cage Murdock; Age: 28; Occupation: works for Jameson Force Security (but he originally told Jaime he was a used car salesman)

* The following words/phrases were used to describe Hero: born and raised in North Carolina, former Navy SEAL, loved the Navy and the structured order, loved working to protect his country, only does hookkups-nothing serious (because he’s afraid of being hurt) , loves danger and adventure, turned down a job offer from the CIA, captured once and shot in the leg, easygoing

Heroine: Jaime Dolan; Age: 26; Occupation: Social Worker

* The following words/phrases were used to describe Heroine: likes to fix people’s problems, helps women and children impacted by domestic abuse, easygoing, funny, good judge of character, parents were good role models, her brother is an endless source of frustration, down to earth, graceful, smart, charming, humble, genuine

<><>A Few Thoughts<><>

^^ ~ this books runs parallel with the previous book. It doesn't matter to the story, just something I noticed

^^ ~ I don’t know why, but I just don’t consider North Carolina a southern state. But there were lots of references to Cage being a southern boy and North Carolina being a southern state. I mean, it’s only three states down from Pittsburgh, where the story takes place. Its probably a me thing.

^^ ~ I’m wondering if the part where Cage was shot in the leg was actually from a different series. It mentions the Las Vegas group and I believe they have their own series. It just made me wonder if Cage was introduced in that series

^^ ~ Nothing suspenseful about the story. It’s tagged Romantic Suspense, but iI didn't think it was

^^ ~ i thought Cage’s lie went on too long. I got a little bored with the same dilemma of…. “I know I should tell her the truth, but I’m afraid I’ll lose her” drama

<><>The Basics<><>
- Content Warning: kidnapping
- Setting: Pittsburgh
- Do you need to read previous books in series?: I think it would be helpful to read the series in order. This book continues to build on the overall series.

“I’ve been seeing someone.” My words are tentative. Bodie breathes into the line. “Holy fuck. It’s end of days.”

“I suppose they might be a little freaked out. After all, I got kidnapped yesterday and rescued by late evening. They discovered I was secretly married, and I found out after they did that my husband wasn’t who I thought he was.”

““This is a promise ring,” I explain, running the tip of my finger over the diamonds. “The infinity symbol signifies that I will love you forever, and I will always be loyal to you.”

Lies vs trust…

Strong alpha males. Smart, compassionate women. Yeah, I love coming back to Jameson Force Security for great characters and their always interesting paths to love! Cage was a big part of the team yet he held his personal life back. Regret, grief, guilt. His emotions were tied to his family, to his past, in a way that caused him to shy away from opening up to his teammates and now to Jaime…

Jamie was pulled into the team to keep her safe but also to use her skills to help the team. Missions were going horribly wrong and she was determined to find out why. She was smart and inquisitive so fit right into the band of (effortless) over-achievers. Everyone had her back but Cage was the one she desired…

Oh, their romance was full of all the good things! Suspense, sweetness, laughter. Add in painful revelations and shared moments and their courtship was anything but boring. This story made me laugh and cry which meant Cage and Jaime’s story was a great, emotional read! ~Diane, 4.5 stars

MY FAVORITE OF THE SERIES!
I loved Cage and Jaime together they have great chemistry and are comfortable just talking and hanging out, I think Jaime called them effortless which I would agree with because they didn't have to put on a show to impress one another they were just perfect....well except for one little thing.
You know the saying once you start with a lie it only grows...well that is exactly what happens here.

Code Name: Rook is the 6th book in the Jameson Force Security Series, but can be read as standalone. I love this series. It is one of my all-time favorites of Sawyer Bennett’s and I cannot get enough of it. Since the end of Malik's story in Code Name: Ghost I have been dying to get my hands on this story. Cage is former Navy Seal and now a member of Jameson Force Security. The book begins back at the beginning of Code Name: Ghost and Cage is seeking a place to drown his sorrows after the emotional turmoil he goes through recovering Malik. There he meets Jamie. The chemistry and fireworks between Cage and Jaime upon first meeting was instant and their chemistry just burned off the pages. The story and plot is fast paced and I could not put it down. I adored Jaime. She has a kind heart, has a strong personality and goes after what she wants. She comes from a close loving family. She is a social worker and works with domestic violence victims. Cage is a former playboy that doesn’t know what to do now that he has met the girl of his dreams and has deceived her from the beginning lying to her about his career. I understood Cage’s hesitancy but I was also frustrated with him and how he handled a few things. As always in this series there is suspense and mystery to uncover and the twist and turns kept me guessing. As always I love the family created amongst the Jameson crew. They are a supportive bunch and I cannot get enough of these characters.

I really enjoyed Code Name: Rook by Sawyer Bennett.

Cage and Jaime are likeable characters that entertained me all throughout their book. I enjoyed the storyline, it's well written, entertaining from start to end and I loved watching Cage and Jaime's relationship unfold.

Code Name: Rook is another wonderful addition to the Jameson Force Security series, each book has been a good read and I highly recommend them all!

Cage & Jaime's Story was Just The Awesomeness that I knew it'll be With Fun, Banters, Sexy & Sweet times, Lies+Truths, Action & A Beautiful HEA.
I had anticipated this Story HARD since reading Code Name: Ghost 6 months ago, BUT Life (& ARCs) Came in the Way of Reading it. I was Determined though, to Read it this Year & I Did!! DEVOURED this Story in 6hrs😍 And loved Cage, Jaime & Seeing our Jameson Crew So much❤.

Cage is Ex-Navy SEAL, Works Currently in Jameson's and is a guy we know well from Previous books. His Story Has the Same timeline as Code Name: Ghost, So some Scenes are Same but we get'em from Different POVs here which was Fun!

The Book Starts with Cage Coming back from Malik's Successful Rescue then Going for Celebratory/Relaxing Drink at A Bar, Where he meets the Sexy Redhead Jaime. She has the same Easygoing, Joke-Making, Take-no-shits attitude as Him and The Two Just Click.
They'd both initially thought that it'll only be a one-night-Stand but Surprise! This Against-Relationship guy wants to give Dating a Chance..With Her. She's also a relationship type girl, Cage makes her heart flutter & toes curl, So why not?
These two had a Fast-paced Whirlwind romance with Fun Dates, Him Meeting her sis, Her meeting his Friends, Swoony+emotional moments, HOT Sex & Growing Feelings.
~I'm so proud of The Help Jaime gives Women & Children on a regular basis, being a Social worker!

There's only one Trouble. Cage's Lie to her at the beginning about being An Used Car Salesman. He was a hardcore playboy & Said that so the Women won't be Clingy but now due to this Lie, He's hiding a big part of who he is from Jaime AND the guilt is increasing by the day BUT the fear's too. What if they don't work out? If she leaves him? So he continued with the lie, even though his Besties who he told about Jaime Said to tell her the truth quick.

Then there's their Vegas Trip & the Spontaneous wedding. You may blame it on Alcohol but the truth is, they both knew it was inevitable (there's Love Confessions too!). He knows its the time for truth, but then Work comes in b/w (Colombia Rescue!).
And Finally when he's Seconds away from confessing and Jaime's a little Suspicious..She's Kidnapped due to the illegal dealings of her Caring & Relatively good But Un-Ambitious Bro. Wtf?! Timing Couldn't be Worse!!

The Rescue in itself isn't that difficult as Her Bro helps Thoroughly, Jameson's Skilled & the thugs who kidnapped her aren't.
But this wasn't the way He thought he'll meet his in-laws *Surprise!* (I loved C+J's parents, both sets are Sweet!).. And the Due to the Rescue, Jaime found the truth. Of course, she's Hurt, angry & pissed. This came after Her Ex Cheated, Her Bro lied and Cage knew about her Integrity & honor!
Yup, Cage knows he was Stupid & fucked it up, but he won't give her up without the fight. She's worth it.

She doesn't make it easy at all. But he's there every step, Doing everything to win her back. Broken Trust? He'll spend his lifetime earning it, if she'll just give him a Chance. And Finally, he wears her down! She agrees to talk with him (After an intervention with Anna (C's friend) *Snicker*) and OMG, he was so Sweet, So thoughtful! *Swoon*
Whatever happened, their love remains. Cue Gift unwrapping, A promise & Consummating their marriage *wink*.
And that Ending..The Jameson Party Which Celebrates their Marriage & She meets C's Friends/Co-workers Is so Fun & Gorgeous!😍

I'm so excited to see what this series has to offer next! Onto read Clay & Corinne's Story in the Free Anthology + So looking forward to Jackson's story next year!

Code Name Rook is the 6th book in this Jameson Force Security series so PLEASE make sure you go back and read them in order prior to starting this one. That being said, it isn't crucial to the plot if you don't begin the series in order. You will still get the story. I personally feel that it would do a disservice to you as a reader if you don't read them in order as there are guest appearances throughout. I believe much would be missed such as Anna’s story. You’d be wondering who she is while readers of the series would already know this information (things I wished I knew before reading books lol).

I love how all of the characters in each Code Name story are intertwined. I love the appearances and blending of members of the team.

You get a lot of tropes in the Jamesforce series which I appreciate such as the Vegas marriage trope like here with Cage and Jamie.

The second chance romance one with Kynan & Joslyn and another with Saint & Sin.
You get a man falling in love with a new mom widow, you get the biker look with Bebe’s look.
Sawyer Bennet does this all so well. I’m a Sawyer Bennet groupie so the praise I could write is too long for this review.

Although I wasn’t blown away by this story, the writing is excellent, it still flows nicely and adds to the overall plot of the series in its entirety.

I can’t wait for Dr Ellory’s story which looks like it’s going to be a second chance romance. Yay! Second chance romance are my new favorite trope. I can’t her enough of them and it makes me so happy that there are 2 (possibly 3 now) in this series!

We’re well aware of the skills that Jameson Force Security attracts, and Cage Murdock’s Navy SEAL background enables him to be utilised within their dangerous missions. Having experienced his work life being highly attractive to perhaps the wrong type of women, he made the decision a while ago to not reveal his job attributes. He doesn’t see this as an issue, and has navigated the little white lie perfectly, until he doesn’t.

Jaime Dolan had recently ended her previous relationship & found herself dragged on a night out by friends. She didn’t expect to meet the engaging stranger, Cage, at the bar and definitely didn’t expect to leave with him for the evening.

With the two of them finding a chemistry they hadn’t experienced before, their dating was launched at a supersonic rate, culminating in a speedy marriage whilst visiting Sin city. And whilst everything leading up to that point felt right, Cage had maintained he was a car salesman and felt it was only a matter of time before the shoe dropped.

We’d been introduced to Cage & Jaime’s situation in the previous book, so I was excited to hear more about it. I wasn’t disappointed when Sawyer revealed Cage’s perfect resume both in strength and character, and thoroughly enjoyed watching him fall… in love.

There is a suspenseful element too, which ensured the sweet combination put it right at the top of my list for the series.

Copy received from the author for which I voluntarily reviewed.

Oh dear. Cage Murdoch has got himself in a right pickle, and I’m loving every single minute of it. Watching this self proclaimed ‘one night stand only’ former navy seal come undone was so much fun. Meeting Jaime Dolan in a bar and and treating her like his usual one night stand kind of woman is Cage’s first mistake, and he realises this the very next morning when he wants more. Jamie too, although she wasn’t expecting more, is very much happy to take more from this ‘used car salesman’. Therein lies Cage’s biggest problem. He should have come clean about his job as soon as he realised Jaime was more than a ‘one and done’ but he didn’t, and now he’s got to face the consequences. Book 6 in Jameson Force Security sees all the crew joining forces to battle against more bad guys, namely kidnappers holding hostages for ransom. Of course there’s all the drama with Cage and Jaime, and of course a couple of little twists to add to the story. I love this fantasy security team, and the story is quite possibly my favourite to date. I’m so looking forward to more. This is a linked series and all the books can be read as stand-alones. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

5 star Review Code Name: Rook (Jameson Force Security #6) by Sawyer Bennett

This is the sixth book in the Jameson Force Security series and I found myself just as entertained and riveted as I was with the previous books. Sawyer Bennett writes a story that is equal parts romance and suspense which makes for a well balanced, exciting and intriguing read.

I couldn’t wait to see what Ms.Bennett had in store for Cage Murdock, an operative who is always on the move, never giving a woman more than a night or two. I knew that the woman who would get to him would need to be special and Jaime certainly is. The only problem is she thinks she married a used car salesman. What will happen when the truth is revealed?

There were plenty of twists and turns and I was on the edge of my seat at times. The chemistry between Cage and Jaime is smoking hot and the story was emotional at times. When danger rears it’s head and Jaime is in the line of fire, Cage and the Jameson Force Security team will do whatever is necessary to save her.

Will Jaime be able to understand and forgive Cage or will their marriage be destroyed?

Review by Trinette Dungee

While being a Navy SEAL isn’t a piece of cake, for Cage Murdock it’s something he was good at. Having left his SEAL days behind, he’s joined forces with Jameson Security and he’s damned good at that too. He’s also good at dodging relationships, he’s not a “forever” type of guy, more like a “for the night”. What he’s not good at however is recovering from a lie he told when he meets Jaime Dolan. Just hanging out in a bar one night trying to wind down from his latest mission he’s approached by Jaime and spends the night with her. He finds himself asking her number and planning date after date with her. By the time he realizes Jaime could actually be the one he has to figure out how to explain who he is and what he does, but as time goes on his lie digs him deeper and deeper.

Jaime Dolan just wanted a night out with the girls to blow off some steam. The last thing she expected was to approach the sexy guy at the bar and end up bringing her home with him; and she definitely never expected him to ask for her number the next morning so he could take her out, that’s not how one-night-stands work, but she gives used car salesman, Cage Murdock, her number and so the big fall begins between the two of them.

While Rook is primarily about Cage trying to reveal his lie to Jaime without loosing her, it’s not without its cloak and dagger. Insert Jaime’s older brother Brian who can’t seem to get his life together and ultimately puts Jaime’s life in danger. While Brian’s not the most savory or characters, I kinda wonder if there’s a story somewhere in there.

I can’t remember off the top of my head the book where Cage Murdock was introduced (we saw a lot of him in “ghost” but I feel like he was sprinkled in someone else’s story prior to “Ghost), but what I do remember was thinking “oh, he’s the guy in this series. He’s that guy that’s going to pop up again and again and by the time his book comes out I’m going to want to devour it” and devour it I did. I simply loved this guy! Cage is that good-natured fun- loving guy that you can easily see as a brother (this was most evident in his relationship with Anna), then suddenly, he turns into this complete bad ass. It’s like he has a switch where he can turn it on an off at will. At one point I was very afraid that his storyline would be him being secretly in love with Anna while she was falling for someone else and that just wasn’t gonna work for me because I knew she wasn’t the woman for him. I panicked for no reason and Jamie was PERFECT for him! These two together were sooooo good! I like Jaime a lot. She was such a “regular” person. In most of the storylines both characters have some sort of (for lack of a better term) wild background. Even Anna was ex-military, but Jaime was someone you’d meet on the street in everyday life.

Ghost and Rook happen simultaneously so there’s some overlapping, but one storyline doesn’t take away from the other. What I really liked was how some of the scenes that happened between Cage and Anna or Cage and Malik that happened in Ghost popped up again in Rook and we got to see it from Cage’s perspective, we saw the wheels turning in his head.

I’m pretty sure the Jameson Saga is far from over as we are introduced to some new member such as Jackson Gale (he kinda seems like a butthead, but time will tell), and Ladd McDermott. We also meet a new FBI Clay Brandeis, who seems to have a connection to the resident therapist Dr. Corinne Ellery not sure if that’s going to be another Jameson storyline or if a new series is in the making, or a storyline connected to an older series with FBI agents. The possibilities are endless.

Bottom line, I had fun with this book!

It's time for another round at Jameson Force Security.

Unfortunately, for me, and unlike the guys who work at JFS, this one didn't hit the mark.

I think for me it was because we knew a bit about Cage and Jaime and the things he had told her already, it felt like the first half of this story dragged. I did have to look at my Kindle a couple of times to make sure I wasn't reading the wrong book, as it was all so familiar. I like a bit of overlap - to remind my bookzheimer's brain - however this time it just made me want to skip ahead in the book to new stuff - sorry Sawyer!

The second half of the book did work better for me though.

I liked Cage and Jaime together, and could feel the heat coming off the pages. But I did get frustrated with the lies and stuff. Come on dude, you knew this was going to be trouble!

As you can see from Bianca's review above, these things didn't bother her, so this is probably just a me thing.

As much as I adore Sawyer Bennett's stories, this one and I weren't the best fit - and I hate writing that.

I can't wait to see what she brings us next though.

Cage has left his career as a Navy SEAL in his past and has joined forced with Jameson Security. He isn’t looking for love or a relationship and he has grown weary of woman wanting to be with him because of his career and not because of the man. When he meets Jaime he assumes that one night will be enough but when not only doesn’t that prove to be true he is worried that the mistruth he told her could destroy the best thing to ever happen to him.

When Jaime met Cage, he was supposed to be a good time that would end when morning came but they soon realize that their connection goes beyond the physical. When she finds herself in danger who better than Cage and his team to come to her rescue but finding out the truth about him may save her life but break her heart in the process.

Intrigue, surprises and romance as even though they had a big secret between them there was denying that they were perfect for each other in every way.

I was actually looking forward to Jaime and Cage's book after getting a glimpse from the last installment. I just didn't like the timeline of in the beginning to how they met and gotten married (which I'm not a fan of rushed wedding ie 6 weeks from meeting someone (added with the lies from Cage)) and obviously to the hea ending. It just didn't fit well with how the other books are placed in the series I guess. I just think the resolve of the climatic event was too fast or rushed.

Narrators John Lane and Emma Wilder did a great job.

I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

2.5 possibly 3. Good book but yet very boring. I felt like the writing was still in bullets but with complete sentences. You had all the highlights with a few details but nothing felt connected. All the characters were boring and we didn't really get to know any of them.
We new the brother was up to no good.
I stopped reading when she found out what kind of job Cage had. I thought that whole conflict was stupid.
I paid 4.99 for this book b/c the synopsis was intriguing but i will go back to my KU books.
