Part 3 in a continuous series. A college romance about two star crossed lovers. We’ve watched Ana and Jackson get together, break up and fight their chemistry. In this instalment the secrets and lies are unraveling.

This is more than a college romance. Jackson comes from a family powerful family with complications. His relationship with Ana is one of love but he wants to protect her. Can they finally find a happy ever after through the mist of badness in the world.

4 Cranky Stars!

Tribulations and Truths is the third book in L.A. Cotton’s Chastity Falls series. It is strongly suggested you read the two previous works before delving into this one. I have been patiently waiting for this one to be released since finishing Book Two.

The story continues the relationship of Ana and Jackson where more secrets came to light. Ana is deeply suspicious of people in Jackson’s life, especially those who might be responsible for the death of one of Jackson’s family members. He is set on discovering the truth and seeking revenge, putting his own happiness at risk.

The central mystery and relationship of the two main characters kept the pages turning well into the night. There are many twists and turns, some things you don’t see coming, and others that made me blink.

Trials and Truths is definitely an interesting story, but I was a little disappointed with the ending. It felt rushed. Also, it didn’t feel like Ana and Jackson’s story was wrapped up. There were some unanswered questions and after three books it would have been nice to have total closure.

I still recommend this book and am glad I read the series. I look forward to more works from this author.

What a freaking fabulous series, I was hooked by the first few pages of book 1, and I have not been disappointed for a split second on any of the 3 books. The Story of Savannah (Ana) and Jackson has been one filled with such a variety of emotions that it is a wonder they survived, there is great sorrow, pain, misery, tears, laughs, loving, and so much more. I advise you to read the books in order so that you can totally follow them along this journey, through the good times and especially through the bad times. It is one of those stories that you cannot wait to finish, but you also dread it ending.

The author defines her characters in an exceptional way, Ana is at the start of the story a very withdrawn person but by the end of the series, she gets some spirit and fights for her happy ever after, although at times she did feel like giving up on their relationship. I really got each of the characters in the book, even the baddies, each had been described so well you felt you knew them personally.

A totally terrific series, and I was blessed to have been given copies in return for an honest review. I can only say DANG I AM A VERY LUCKY LADY to get these to read.

Facts: Tribulation and Truths is book #3 of Chastity Falls series by L.A. Cotton. This book is the last in a trilogy. It is told from both points of view and ends with a happy end between the couple. Genres: New Adult Tropes: insta-love | college romance | sports romance | dark romance Other notes: violence | sex | adult language | drugs

Ana and Jackson’s emotional roller coaster story concludes in Tribulations and Truths where Jackson is dead set on revenge after learning the truth behind his father’s death. But will avenging his father cost him the love of his life?

While I enjoyed this all-consuming young love story, I felt as though the ending was rushed especially for a three-part drama filled story.

„Doesn’t matter where we are, or what’s going on around us. You and me. Always.”

I’m obsessed with this series and this couple. It doesn’t even matter that my heart is bruised, I love them nonetheless. This part of Jackson and Ana’s story was as heartbreaking as it was wonderful, because they proved that every single tear was worth it and that real love conquers all. What a ride it was!

The revelations that came out in the previous part caused a whole lot of twists. Both Jax and Ana had to deal somehow with the situation and be careful to not lose themselves completely in pain and hatred. These two went through a lot, but they survived all the ups and downs and became stronger than ever. I just love the development of their characters and their turbulent journey!

Tribulation and Truths is a perfect conclusion to Jackson and Savanah’s story. It’s still angsty and action-packed, but at the same time it’s so heartwarming and touching. It’s filled with drama, danger, suspense and sadness, but also devotion and so much love. These 3 books about Jax and Ana were a real rollercoaster of emotions!

I’m looking forward to read Dennis and Braiden’s stories!

Review

description

Tribulation and Truths is the third book in the Chastity Falls series, so while the author does a fabulous job of integrating past events into the new book, it’s recommended that you go back to the beginning and read the two previous books before this one so that you enter this one knowing all the players and where they stand.

At the end of Salvation and Secrets, Ana reveals a truth to Jackson that irrevocably changes him forever. That what he has spent his life believing about his father, and the way he died was a lie. Changing his relationships with people he believed to be family, as well as his relationship with Ana in the process.

This book picks up right where that one left off—in the aftermath of that truth and what Jackson then chooses to do about it.

What I love about this series is that just when you think things are finally about to even out, that maybe, just maybe this couple and them as individuals will be able to move on from everything that they’ve already had to face and beat, another bomb gets dropped, another piece put into play and BAM, we’re knee deep in the suspense again. One minute happy and swooning over how sweet and amazing Jackson and Ana are together, and the next, biting our nails wondering what their fate will be.

It’s this style of writing that gave me one hell of a book hangover at the end of the last book and did the same thing again here. As I stated in the previous review, L.A. Cotton has ruined me. Lol. The level of feels I had in this, both bad and good ones was insane and even with the time in between finishing this and reviewing it, I still feel it. I feel these characters and their struggles. Its equal parts insane and awesome and I love it.

Now, where would a story be without the characters? In this case, the three I’m touching on being the three that stood out the most to me in this.

Jackson Pierce. Wow. I didn’t think I was ever going to reach a point where I was ready to give up on him, my love for him probably just as powerful as Ana’s, but in this book, with some of the things he did, I gotta say, I wanted to turn around and hit him with the book. Or rather the kindle that I was reading said book on. LOL.

The problem when I’m reading (well not really a problem per say) is that I look at the character motivations as they’re doing things I don’t like, which in the end makes me sympathize and understand the things they do when all I really want is to hate them and beat them with books.

Jackson, I understood what he was doing. Why he felt he had to pull away in order to achieve a better ending for him and Ana. It all made sense to me even though I wouldn’t have taken the same steps he did, or treated the people around him the way he did. By the time it was done, I didn’t want to hit him anymore, but God. I did for a while. This is one book boyfriend that frustrated the hell out of me. (Love you Jackson!)

Ana. My ballsy heroine. The one that despite knowing that dealing with Marcus was basically dealing with the devil, knowing full well what he was capable of, still stood tall and stood by her man, even when he was pushing her away in an effort to keep her safe. This was the Ana that’s been present through all three books, but that was only shown in small little intervals as she gained her strength back from what brought her to Chastity Falls to begin with, and recovering from what she went through with Jackson in the first and second books. It was so awesome to see. She was overcoming her issues, with the help of her friends and the love of Jackson and becoming stronger for it. It’s not often I connect with the heroines in books, I tend to lean toward the men, but in this series, in this book with Ana I did. She was what kept me grounded when I wanted to beat her other half.

Last but not least. Marcus. I’ve got a thing for twisted characters and especially like it when they’re written in a way where you just love to hate them. This guy, the games he was playing with people much higher up on the food chain, the twisted way he dealt with his family along with what he orchestrated with Jackson’s dad, was the epitome of sadistic jackass. He was the perfect dark counter to the light that was Jackson and Ana (along with their friends). Witnessing him get what was coming to him drove me with this book even more than Ana and Jackson did. And by books end, I was quite content with the way it all played out. *claps*

For what the author was tackling with this series, combining multiple genres, the pacing was amazing. There were moments in this where it did slow down a bit, but not enough for me to say that it dragged at any point. Point A got to Point B nicely, everything wrapping up rather well by books end and like the others I’ve got to say, with the way the book flowed, it was over a lot faster than I was expecting. Not because it was short, or not enough detail was given, but because it was just executed phenomenally.

This is one book where each title holds true to what takes place in the book, so just like this one says, there will be tribulations for everyone in Chastity Falls, and also a whole boatload of truths. I felt that title all the way through, so kudos to the author on that. Another neat execution.

All of the answers that I was after through each of the books was wrapped up and answered here and while I won’t go into specifics, there was a happy ending too and one that I was more than a little ready for. Even with the little nugget I found once their story was finished.

I’m probably gonna be in a minority when I say this but…Bring on Braiden. I am so ready! <3

If you’re a fan of suspense driven books, ones that keep you on the edge of your seat, but that also contain solid characters and just the right amount of romance—true love—then this book is for you. The series really. It was all of this and so much more. Sometimes, I even felt like I wasn’t reading a book but thrown right into a television show, with the way these books read. It was worth every moment spent.

My thanks to the author and all those involved for letting me read an ARC of this before official release.

What a great ending to Ana and Jackson’s story!!! If you think they will easily get their HEA, you would be wrong. From the very beginning, one obstacle after another seems to impact their relationship, and in this book, it’s no different. Tribulation and Truths picks up almost right where the last book ended. As Jackson was finally at a point of leaving the Donohue’s behind, he is drawn back in, not out of fear or loyalty but for revenge. He wants the man who raised him as his own to pay for what he took away from him. As he makes his elaborate plans, he is drawn back into the darkness of “the life” and further away from Ana. Will the two of them survive and finally get the HEA they deserve?

I have loved all the other books in the series, but this one may be my favorite. In the other books, I got a glimpse of how dangerous the Donohue’s are, but I got to see just how dangerous they really are. L.A. Cotton gives us an in-depth look into all their illegal activities in this one. Ana has continually grown through each book, and I love the strong woman she has become. There were times I got really angry at Jackson and really wanted to slap him around a little bit. However, I do understand why he didn’t confide everything to Ana. I know he was trying to protect her, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t exasperate me like he did Ana. The pages flew by as Jackson would uncover another secret. The ending was fantastic. While some questions were answered, there were more that came to light. I am curious what characters are now going to get their own books? I know Braiden is finally getting his, and let me tell you, I am counting the days until that one comes out. But, I hope Dennis will get his own story as well.

The Chastity Falls Series is a romance, but it’s different from others in the same genre. L.A. Cotton has added suspense and mystery which makes the book even better. She does a great job of writing her characters in a way that makes me connect with them on an emotional level whether I love them or really detest them. She has even made me feel something for a character, Braiden, who on the surface appears to have no redeeming qualities yet I hold out up that there may be something good underneath all the bad. If you enjoy a romance with tons of angst, mystery, and suspense, I highly recommend reading the entire series.

We’re back in Chastity Falls again. This time it is Jackson’s senior year and Braiden is gone and Jax finds himself moving up in the family. Marcus is relying on him more and more, but after what Ana told him before summer, Jax is merely biding his time. Ana is feeling that strain too. After everything she and Jax had been through already, this just might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

We’re back with the usual cast of characters. A few are more front and center, like Dennis. A few are new like Perkins and Frankie. And a few are missing, thank goodness. But the drama is far from over as far as Jackson and the Donohue’s are concerned.

I’ll be honest, this book was ok. But I think that the best book so far has been the first one. I don’t know if maybe it’s my age and I’m just not into the drama or something. Which is most likely the case. But the drama seemed to go on forever and ever. I would have told Jackson to look me up once he got his stuff together because I wouldn’t be able to handle the constant drama and secrets and shady business. But that’s me, and I tend to get really frustrated with my characters when they’re all drawn into that mess when they could walk away from it. Also, what’s up with Jackson throughout this book. He really frustrated me. All hot and cold. Yeah, I’d have jumped off that rollercoaster and said “SEEYA!” But that’s me personally. It’s nothing to do with the writing or the story, it’s just I’m a 40-year-old woman looking at a college kid in a story.

Ms. Cotton’s world of Chastity Falls gets bigger and bigger. The Donohue’s aren’t the big fish, not really. And we’re just scratching that surface. She’s left so much room for expansion in this series. We KNOW that Braiden is getting a book. INTERESTING! Honestly, I’m interested to see how that one goes. I’d love to see her take a very disliked character and redeem him. (I do so LOVE a redemption story!) And potentially, I see a Dennis story as well. So, we’ll see how this all unfolds. :) So would I recommend this book. I would. It is a good ending to this part of the series. I think it answers many of the lingering questions as it pertains to these two characters. The heat level is mildly steamy, so not for the youngin’s.

I have to admit that I had only recently discovered LA Cotton and the Chastity Falls series, but it's one of my favourite series this year. Tribulations and Truths is the third part in this series and it's just as good if not better than the two before. So Tribulations and Truths picks up straight after Salvation and Secrets, Jackson has learnt the truth behind the death of his father he is reeling but detriment to make that person pay for the senseless murder of his father but first he has to agree to do the one thing he really doesn't want to - take up Braiden's role in the family business. Jackson's thirst of revenge starts to affect his relationship with Ana once again other forces are still fighting for them to be apart. With truths finally being revealed will Ana and Jackson really make forever ?
With each book I fall in love with these characters a little bit more and it's not just Jackson and Ana that I love it's Dennis loyalty and lack of words, Elena outrageousness and Cassie secret new man was a shocker too.
Once again this book was the right blend of angst, sexiness, suspense and one great ending. Lianne writes the best endings ever, they are not cliff hangers but leave you begging for more. The last three words made my heart stop.
I'm really sad to be leaving Chastity Falls !

Book#3 in the Chastity Fall Series ... to understand what is going on in this book, Book 1 & 2 must be read.

Wow... you got to be on the ball when reading this series, there is a lot you have to take in, a lot of secrets and hidden truths.

I am not going to leave any spoilers, especially for those that haven't read book 1 & 2. But L.A Cotton has done an excellent job with this story, it kept me hooked from beginning to end, i kept having to put it down so i wouldn't finish it... Love Jackson and Ana, their story so well told.

This series just keeps getting better and better, normally I can get a bit bored in a long series but not this series no it just gets more exciting with each book and I am loving it.

This book was full of suspense and you just didn’t know which way the story was going to go, would Jackson get his closure, was Ana going to get her happily ever after the questions were everywhere and you just couldn’t put the book down until they were all answered.

I loved how this book was different to the other books as it was more about the dodgy dealings and about the Donahue family it really had you turning the pages.

I loved everything about this book and it was the perfect way to end one story and then just at the end it had you hanging on for the fourth book, I am so glad again that I bought this box set so I could dive straight into the next book because what L.A Cotton does best she makes you want to start the next book straight away.

This book is for you if your looking for exciting, secretive and a book that will have you hanging on until the end then you need to read this book or even start the series. You won’t regret it.

If I could give more stars I would but an awesome solid 5 Stars from me

Of course I waited too long to review Jackson and Ana's books that they all kind of bleed into one now. So this is a review for the first three in this series.

I was hesitant to read this at first because I noticed that we only got Ana's POV in the first book. I was annoyed with myself for sleeping on this one because I really enjoyed this series and after starting it I see why it was important to only get her POV. We do get Jackson's POV in the other books so I was happy about that. I loved the secrets, twists and turns and suspense that was in this series. I loved that I was obsessed with this story, I needed to know what all the secrets were. Truly sucked me in. My only complaint is that there was so much focus on the Donohue family and all the secrets that there wasn't much relationship development. However, that didn't make me love Jackson and Ana any less or not get all the feels from their love because I did. I heart them big time.

I don’t know why but I expected a bigger ending than this for the conclusion to Ana & Jackson’s story. I know the series continues so I’m sure we’ll see more of them. But I just felt like it was kind of anticlimactic. There was so much build up to Jackson’s revenge & I was left feeling not avenged in any way. Maybe it’s cause I’ve been on a fairly dark book kick lately haha.

I was pretty interested in Dennis & his life so I’m looking forward to reading his story. I liked getting to see the happy ending for Jackson & Ana because they definitely deserved it.

Tribulation and Truths 🖤

When the Donohue world threatens to tear apart Ana and Jackson, only the truth will set them free. But will the truth be enough to keep them together? Will their bond of love, lust, and promise be full filled? Hold on for the tide of ups and downs in Jackson’s perilous world.

Tribulation and Truths is the final book in Ana and Jackson’s trilogy. As the first trio in the CF series, you’ll be eager to read these page-turning books. Must be read as a trio for overall satisfaction of the story.

MQ:
“Don’t ever be scared of me. No matter what happens, what trials we face, know one thing. I’d lay down my life for you, Savanah Parry.” ~ Jackson Pierce, Tribulation and Truths

Whew, I need a minute to compose after this third installment of the Chastity Falls series and I just got through chastising (pun intended) L.A. Cotton on Facebook about it. Arrrrgh, such an emotional roller coaster ride she takes her readers on to conclude the story of Jackson and Ana. This review may spoil books one and two, so catch up before you keep reading this.

"I should have been used to the drama by now; the what-ifs and what now’s. That was all my life had been for two years. It didn’t make me love him any less, it just made loving him harder." ~ Ana

Two years. This girl has put up with so much from Jackson's "family", it's a freaking wonder she can take anymore. Ana is a saint I tell ya, a freaking saint! Good thing Jackson treats her well, or as well as he can with the life he lives, or this review would be forced in a different direction. For two long, manipulating years, Ana has stood by her man and she isn't backing down now. Not when Jackson is this close to finding out what really happened to his father. Sure he knows Marcus is involved, but to know the truth, he is going to have to immerse himself in all that is Marcus Donohue.

“Don’t ever be scared of me. No matter what happens, what trials we face, know one thing. I’d lay down my life for you, Savanah Parry.” ~ Jackson

Swoon! And that is why she is standing by her man. The real Jackson is in there somewhere and when the truth comes out, Ana hopes that is the man she's left with. This time around she's got to let a lot of things slide in order to get to the finish line with him. As much as it kills her at times, Ana has to trust in Jackson and the things he is doing with the Donohue family. Scary things.

"Deep down, I’d known for some time. Jackson was going after Marcus. Nothing could stop him. Not even me." ~ Ana

Jackson is on a mission. A mission for the truth and not even his girl is going to stand in his way. The cards are stacking against Marcus, all Jackson needs to do is find the right dealer to play the game with him. As Marcus pulls him further into the family, Jackson's plan starts to come to light. Sure it's a risky one, but one he needs to pull off if he really wants out for good.

"One day, after all of this was over, I hoped that Ana would understand my decision. I just hoped I’d be the one making her see it was the right thing to do.' ~ Jackson.

With all of this going on around them, you forget that Ana and Jackson are really just a couple of college kids. They are buried in serious $hit, life threatening $hit. Ana makes choices, Jackson makes choices and they both hope and pray for the best. Elena and Dennis are still front and center as well as Otis and V, as support for the both of them. Actually, Dennis turns out to be quite the interesting guy this time around and it wouldn't surprise me to see a little something about him next.

The book is well written from dual points of view. The action doesn't slow for a moment as you race to the end to see how it will all finally play out. LA Cotton does a fantastic job at balancing the romance, suspense and some sexy-time for her characters. As much as it pains me to say this, I am begrudgingly looking forward to the next book. Gah, these authors make me crazy sometimes!!

O...EM...GEE!

Yes, that's where I am going to start. When I started the Chasity Falls series, I honestly wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to. I am sure glad I jumped in though. Jackson and Ana have been down an incredibly long road. I had so many predictions going into this book.
Braiden has been locked up, he took the fall for all that he had done and caused, not that he really had much of a chance. Marcus has decided to pull Jackson and Ana in and keep them lose. This makes me head swirl with questions. When Jackson told Ana and decided to "step up" his role in the family business I had no idea what that would entail. I couldn't believe Jackson went in for it. Jackson found out that Marcus was possibly the person that murdered his father. Marcus had raised Jackson as his own since his father's "accident", so it seems hard for Jackson to grasp this concept. Ana had stumbled across this information earlier on. Jackson still wanted hard proof, something solid. When Sara tells Ana she has information my mind exploded, I just could not believe what she told her! (sorry not spoiling that part) Just when things are seemingly settling down, Marcus shifts Jackson's role. He sends him out on business detail, he's in strip clubs, bars, cheap hotels. BUT! Someone is sending Ana text messages about Jackson's meetings. She had no idea he'd be going in to strip clubs. While Jackson stayed faithful, whoever is sending these messages is sending her over the edge. She as her suspicions, but that's all they are. Otis has gotten sick, and I might have teared up a bit here, and Jackson, V, and Ana all want him to fight. With Otis stuck in his ways, he is determined that if it's his time then so be it. Ana has come to love these two and accept them into her small family circle.

Dennis is Jackson's best friend, a very loyal friend. When Jackson finds out he is dating, and who he is dating I am just mind blown... Dennis really?!? Not a bad choice though, he just didn't strike me as the dating type, then again... It was kept a secret.
When Jackson has the proof he needs about some bad supplies they have received, he goes straight for the top. This could be their one chance to get out, for good. I'm not spoiling the end on this one, just know it is VERY much worth the wait. I can't believe how it ended, I was for sure this was going to be the last book and I was going to close out in a blubbery mess. I must admit it was a bit of a heartbreaking thought, but when I see book 4 coming soon... I smiled like a kid on birthday morning!! I could go on and on...and on ... about this book, so many wonderful surprises. Yet, rip your heart out of your chest while stabbing it with a knife and pouring hot sauce on it moments, and so many WONDERFUL moments... I LOVE IT Great job with this series!!

I am still curious though as to how the mystery texter knew where to be and at what moments if the meetings were to be private...and why this mystery person was never noticed?

The third instalment of Ana and Jackson, picking right up where we left of in book two. We see the outcome of Jacksons decision to get closer to the group of men for more knowledge not only of his father. But the details surrounding his death. He needed evidence.
-----------
Excerpt:
Since telling Jackson about the evidence pointing to the possibility that Marcus killed his dad, he had changed. He'd become obsessed with bringing Marcus down. And the best way to do that...was from the inside.
-----------

But with the support of Dennis and Ana, he kept being told to unburden himself with what her was dealing with. With Jackson and Ana's relationship deepening in one sense, but also struggling in others.
----------
Excerpt:
She has your back; you don't have to shoulder this alone. You have her. Me. We're like one big screwed-up happy family.
----------

With Marcus bringing Jackson into the "Irish Mob", Jackson and Ana spend more time apart as he travels frequently to meet the boss, he would surely meet. Once best friends with Hismfather and Marcus. But along with his other responsibilities at Chastity Falls, his responsibilities were growing as he stepped up to what was expected of him.
----------
Excerpt:
Don't ever be scared of me. No matter what happens, what trials we face, know one thing. I'd lay down my life for you, Samantha Parry.
...Like a foreboding prophecy, his words haunted me.
----------

Ana struggled to understand Jackson and the grief he was going through but when new evidence comes to light, she understood. She felt his pain and longing for revenge. But what cost would that come at?
----------
Excerpt:
I'd finally realised Jackson needed closure. He needed to lay his past to rest. One way or another, Jackson needed to cut loose his ties to the Donohue's.
----------

Jackson pushes those closest to him away...and this broke my heart. Not to mention Ana's. Although he loves her dearly, he knows he needs to do this for himself. To finally lay the past behind him. But Ana felt more dejected than ever.
----------
Excerpt:
After everything we'd been through, we were supposed to face this together, and I really thought he was letting me in, but all he has been doing was preparing to push me out.
----------

But I don't want to say too much more....because I want you all to go buy and read this incredible book (and series!) because the characters are just brilliant. I think I feel a little maternal for Ana and Jackson as they have both grown so much despite all the obstacles in their way. This book had me hooked from the first page until the last. But, talking of the last page....LA Cotton?! What are you doing to me!? I need the next book now please!

-------------------------------
Final and favourite excerpt:
The delicate band was so much more than just a bracelet. It was our story. Two lives entwined into one. Without its counterpart, there was no complete loop, no infinity symbol, just a broken link.

Tribulation and Truths is the third book in the Chastity Falls Series by the lovely L.A. Cotton. Since I have read both book one and two, I was provided the opportunity to read an early copy in exchange for my honest review of this one. This third novel picks back up with Jackson and Ana moving into a new house on the edge of Chastity Falls. Jackson must abide by Marcus now, since he has agreed to take Braiden’s place within the family business. He feels that this is the only way that he can find a way to get both him and Ana out of Chastity Falls—for good. Marcus begins giving him more responsibility, which is meant to be a test of sorts. He is always trying to test Jackson’s loyalty and apparently, everyone knows that Jackson is well respected—just like his father. When Jackson learns of a secret that Marcus has been keeping away from the rest of his ‘business partners’, he becomes completely obsessed with finding out the truth—even if that means that he pushes Ana to the brink of breaking…again. The only way that they get out of this alive is if they know the truth, so Jackson feels that his decision to hold those that he loves the most at arms-length is the best possible solution until the end. Will all of the battles that Jackson and Ana have fought over the past couple of years be all for nothing?

My favorite characters in this third book are Dennis and Frankie. Dennis is the loyal friend to Jackson and agrees to assist with protecting Ana. His loyalty runs deeps and I really enjoyed reading about his character. I would love to read more if the author decides to write about Dennis and his struggle through the life that he has been given. Frankie is the other character who seemed very cold and heartless at first, hanging back in the shadows and never showing his face. However, once Jackson talks to him a little more, he discovers that he has his ticket out of Chastity Falls…if everything goes according to plan. Frankie is smart, honest, loyal and was a very good friend of Jackson’s father. One of my least favorite characters in this story is Briony. The author does a wonderful job of creating the ultimate ‘bitch’ complex for this character. She has taunted Ana in the past and continues to do her best in this one too. Overall, the characters really fit their parts well and the pace was nice and steady.

I would recommend this novel to those who have read the first two in this series. Since this is not a stand alone, it would be very confusing and difficult to read without knowing the previous struggles and life-altering situations that the characters have already faced in books one and two. The author has so much creativity bundled into all of her books, which left me unsure as to how Jackson and Ana would attempt freedom until the second half of this book. Tribulation and Truths deserves five stars because it is original, entertaining, suspenseful and I just couldn’t put it down. I am looking forward to the fourth in the series which will hopefully come out early 2016.

As always with L.A Cotton's books, I jumped at the chance to read an ARC of Tribulation & Truths. I am seriously glad I did because I had been having Jax withdrawal symptoms *swoon* That man is pure unadulterated bliss!
Tribulation & Truths is the final part of Jax and Ana's story and I won't lie, I am extremely sad that it had to end. I whole-heartedly wish that Lianne would write more books based on the couple because although I am intrigued by Braiden's story (the next book in the series), I wish it didn't have to centre around him. Jax and Ana are the ultimate book couple. They have their ups and downs, for sure. But don't all couples?!
This time round, Jax is in deeper than ever before. He's taken Braiden's place in the family due to Braiden's incarceration. This makes it a hell of a lot more dangerous for the couple and ultimately, they must live a life pretending to bow to Marcus Donohue's commands, whilst trying their hardest to find evidence linking Marcus to the death of Jax's father. Is there evidence to be found? Could Marcus really have been behind the demise of his best friend? Can Ana and Jax uncover the truth and if so, can the do it in time before Jax is in over his head and gets a target on his back?
The story was fast-paced and highly entertaining. I read it in a matter of hours, though I kept having to put the book down and walk away to try and draw it out. I really couldn't handle it being the end. So for me it was a catch-22 situation. Read faster to uncover the truth or read slower to prolong the story before it's inevitable end?
As with the previous stories in this series, T&T was well-written, it flowed beautifully and had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Lianne always succeeds in making me ride a roller coaster of emotion, but more so this time because I knew it was the end. I laughed, I cried, I even threw something in temper as I was left feeling utterly bereft at one point (no spoilers).
T&T was the perfect way to end this amazing couple's journey. Many trials and tribulations later, you get to see whether they get their happily ever after or if it ends in disaster.

I am grateful to Lianne for providing me with this amazing book and wish to congratulate her on a job well done, because I am sure she thrives on emotionally draining her readers LOL.

***ARC Provided for an Honest Review***

The third book in the series leaves off with Jackson and Ana back together. The scary part is that Jackson has taken over Braiden’s spot as number 1 to Marcus. Of course the only reason Jackson agreed was to learn if Marcus really did kill his father and to avenge his death.

Jackson… now working number 1 under Marcus has put a lot of stress on him. He is doing all this stuff and dealing with the team again which he can’t stand some of the guys anymore. Not after everything that had happened in the last book. On top of that Marcus is sending him on other jobs that he has never done before and he seems to be getting in even deeper with Marcus. More than he ever wanted to. The only means behind Jackson is to find out what happened to his father.

Ana has been dealing with the transition as well. Jackson has been nothing but distant with her and they seem to never talk… well not about their problems anyways. They just small talk and have sex to avoid their problems or growing concerns. It seems as though the two of them are falling apart. Until Jackson opens up to her and then they both seem to feel closer again.

Dennis is in this book much more than before. He is sort of what Jackson was for Braiden but different at the same time. Dennis keeps Jackson in check, but also tells him how it is (to a point without crossing boundaries). He is always sticking up for Ana and when Jackson is having issues, Dennis always tells him to talk to Ana about his problems. Not that he doesn’t want to hear them but he knows Ana wants Jackson to talk to her about what is really going on. Dennis is almost like a big brother for Ana in ways.

You definitely need to be paying attention to every detail and word in this book. There are so many hidden truths and secrets. I kept trying to guess what is going to happen next, but when I thought I had something figured out, another twist is put out there.

I can’t wait to read the next book in Braiden’s point of view and after he is out of prison….

Rating: 5/5

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **

In this long awaited third book in the Chastity Falls series, we are once again amidst the lives of Jackson and Ana, their college and football friends, and of course the Donahue family.

The on again off again relationship between Jackson and Ana, is on again, and seems to be going well. They have moved into their own place on campus and are enjoying the things that most young lovers do.

All that is about to change now that Braiden Donahue is behind bars. Jackson doesn’t want to replace Braiden in the “family”, but it’s his only chance to get inside and finally discover the truth behind his fathers murder.

Ana discovers, while digging into the Donahue family, that Marcus Donahue is responsible for the murder that changed the course of Jackson’s life.

All they need is proof. But how are they going to find that proof in a town not only run by the Donahue’s, but also has the residents scared of the family?

Jackson is aware of the goings on around campus, but a few kids admitted to hospital after the party drugs they’ve purchased our them there. It all leads back to the hold the Donahue family has.

Jackson still thinks it’s small time stuff until he goes to Seattle to sit in on a meeting with what he thinks are Marcus’ business associates. What he discovers during that meeting makes him realise he is way over his head, and he can’t see a way out.

He knows he needs to keep Ana safe, and he would do anything to do so.

Once Jackson and Ana have the proof they need, there’s only one thing in Jacksons mind……..to bring Marcus Donahue to justice for the murder of his father.

The only way Jackson can keep Ana safe and out of the way of what is about to go down, is to break up with her once again.

Will Jackson finally get the justice he’s wanted for so long?
With that justice, will Jacksons freedom be rewarded?

A thoroughly engrossing, surprise on every page, could not put it down read! With a somewhat cliffhanger ending, it was the perfect ending to lead us into the fourth book that will be released early next year. And we can’t wait!!

A definite 4 star read.

This is the 3rd book in the series and yes you will most definitely need to read the first 2 books prior to reading this one and this review may contain spoilers to the earlier books. Now that Ana shared her suspicions to Jackson about how she believed Marcus, whom raised Jackson since he was 9 years old, killed Jackson’s father, he is determined to find the truth and make Marcus pay. Jackson has become consumed with his need for revenge and is losing himself to that vengeance. He is willing to risk everything and hurt those he loves, as well as go against everything he believes in to discover the truth of what happened. Once he learns this truth, will it set them free from the mob or will it ruin his last chance at happiness with his one true love Ana?
I have been patiently waiting for this book to be released since finishing book 2 as I had to know what was going to become of Ana and Jackson. I was not able to put this book down. I was drawn in right from the start. There were many twists that I didn’t expect. I found myself saying “Wow! Didn’t see that coming!” I love when that happens. I was disappointed and can’t give it the 5 star rating like the first two book because I don’t feel like Ana and Jackson’s story was finished along with what I seemed like were unanswered events. The ending seemed as if it was rushed, with too much happening rather quickly and not being very clear on how it was all going down. I can’t go more into that without spoilers for this book so that is all I can say about it. The author also is focused on setting us up for the next couple books that will be based on the supporting characters. The best way I can describe it is to compare it to that movie you have been waiting for months to see and when you finally do, you are glad you saw it but there was just something missing.
I still strongly recommend this series and this book and am looking forward to reading other books from this author. I do hope we will hear more about Ana and Jackson.

Thanks to my own writing, my reading of this ARC has been disrupted, but I've finally been able to sit down for a couple of hours and get through it.

While it is a fantastic ending to Jackson and Ana's story in Chastity Falls, I have to admit that I struggled a little bit to get into it at first. I can't put my finger on what the problem was, but once I got past it, I whizzed through the story, eating up every word.

Leaving off from book two, Salvation and Secrets, T&T gets us back into the action. Jackson and Ana have moved away from The Fallen and Marcus Donohue a little by getting their own place, but things are far from over. Jackson is hell bent on finding out the truth about his father's death, and to be honest, I don't blame him one bit.

This book, in my opinion, was the more intense out of the three in that there was a lot more tension between the characters, not just Jackson and Ana, yet it was lacking the "Oh my God, there goes my heart" gut-wrenching moments that the first two in the series had. This isn't a bad thing because it's the series coming to a close, well for these two characters anyway, and it can't all be "let me rip my heart out and sob myself to sleep" as it's tying up all the loose ends that need to be dealt with.

Speaking of all these loose ends, Cotton ties them up brilliantly. Truths are indeed revealed and all the tribulations our characters are dealt are overcome, yet I have to admit, not always in the way I expected. She still managed to keep me guessing in places, especially when I didn't expect it. Even the supporting cast of characters had their 'issues' dealt with. . . except Braiden. There's a little teaser about him that excites me.

I have loved the journey Cotton has taking us on with Ana and Jackson in Chastity Falls, and I can't wait to see where else she can take this series - if she does with more full novels. There is so much more she can explore with it and the characters involved.

Well, it's safe to say that L.A. COTTON has well and truly hit it outside of the proverbial ballpark with this outstanding third instalment of THE CHASTITY FALLS SERIES, TRIBULATION AND TRUTHS.

'Gripping' just isn't a big enough word to justify just how tightly this story held me within its grasp. It was quite frankly all consuming just how hooked I was inside the pages of this book.

Of the three books so far in this series, TRIBULATION AND TRUTHS is most definitely the one which stands out the most for me. Despite my love for the previous two, this one quite simply had it 'all' for me...

It was intense,

It was deeply dark,

It was heartbreakingly emotional at times,

But most of all it keeps you guessing and constantly on your toes.

I can not express just how fantastic this series is.
L.A. COTTON has managed to create characters you just can not help but connect with, even those you just love to hate. Each and every one of them are integral to the story, and beautifully written about.

Despite not being a conclusion to the CHASTITY FALLS SERIES, TRIBULATION AND TRUTHS is the book which tests the relationship of Ana and Jackson to the max.
We've reached a point in the series where everything has come to this 'point of no return' for them. Their future together is held tightly within the seedy and dark world of Marcus Donohue, and the secrets and lies deeply seated inside it.
Prepare to be taken on a monumental journey, one which will turn you into an emotional wreck by the end of the story, and have you hanging on to the edge of your seats praying for Jackson to once and for all discover the truth behind his fathers death, and punish those responsible.

Prepare for twists and turns along the way, as well as a few unexpected surprises and a little excerpt at the end to get you all excited for more from the fabulous L.A. COTTON.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A FANTASTIC 5 STAR MUST READ FROM THE AMAZING L.A. COTTON

Firstly is like to say thank you to LA cotton for sending reading the sheets a copy of her newest book in exchange for an honest review.

This series captivated me from the start, and I was itching to get my hands on this book and I'm so glad I did.
Jackson and Ana have had a pretty tough run, and their lives have been turned upside down on numerous occasions, but this time, the fight is bigger than it's ever been, and the strength of their love for each other, may not quite be enough for them to make it this time.
Jackson is determined to get revenge for his fathers death, but that means taking down his uncle, who he's considered a surrogate father since he was 9. The plans start to come together as Jackson gets his feet back under the table at the Donoghue household, and his uncle is slowly trusting him to take on more and more responsibility. However, jax knows Marcus isn't that stupid, and Jacksons involvement gets ramped up to high pretty fast. Worried his motives for joining the crew again have been found out, Jackson needs to find someone in the mob he can trust, but who could it be, his split decision may be the death of him, literally.
Ana is worried about Jackson, they've recently moved in together but she's never felt further apart from him in her entire life. Dealing with her own secrets, their relationship is becoming more and more strained until finally ana can't take anymore. Leaving, as she was asked, Ana contemplates how things could be different, together and on her own.

This is a brilliant book and a superb ending to the series. I absolutely loved it. The characters are real and relatable and I loved how this time Ana spunk and passion came out more and more as the story went on. Certainly worth 4 and a half stars. Thank you
