I read Hindi poems after such a long time (the last time I read them was back in school), and I really enjoyed the experience.
Urvi is an anthology of Hindi poems revolving around themes that deeply reflect and affect society, such as spiritual elevation, global harmony, universal brotherhood, world peace, dedication to the nation, inspiration for the revival of Indian culture, women’s empowerment, and love for nature. The poems also attempt to make society reflect on issues like human exploitation, poverty, female foeticide, oppression of women, political decline, pollution, and the degradation of religion, ethics, and spirituality.
The poet beautifully captures the essence of the world we live in and tries to awaken in us the ability to look within our hearts. The poems flow gracefully, making us ponder what we have become, what the world has turned into, and where we stand as human beings.
My personal favourites were Parichay, Purnima, Sukhmay Sansar, Aakash, and Mati, where he vividly writes about how universal efforts can make this world worth living in, how unity forms our true identity, and how the world we inhabit is being polluted in every possible way. The way he awakens the conscience of readers towards these topics is truly commendable.

It is a rich collection of 100 poems, each revolving around different themes and emotions. What I really liked about this book is how the author has beautifully captured his words and given them such meaningful depth. Every poem feels like it carries its own world, its own message.

The author’s passion for writing clearly shines through in each piece. Even in poems like Deep, Deepak, Kalam, and Maati, which may sound simple at first, he has given them a wonderful structure with deep and thoughtful meanings.

Reading this anthology was a refreshing experience for me. I think this was my 3rd or 4th Hindi poetry book, and it really gave me a new sense of connection with Hindi literature. It encouraged me to explore more, and now I definitely plan to read more and more Hindi poetry in the future. Some poems were a little tough for me to fully understand, as the writing felt slightly complex in a few places, but that did not take away the charm of the collection. Instead, it pushed me to think deeper and try to connect with the words in my own way.

Overall, Urvi is a book that beautifully combines different themes of life with emotions and depth. It gives you a variety of themes, from personal feelings to social reflections, all expressed in a meaningful and heartfelt way. A compilation of poems in Hindi with a variety of themes. Hindi being a beautiful language leaves an imprint and coupled with poetic finesse, it brings out true art. 100 poems which portray the power of words.

The poems in this anthology explores patriotism, social issues, culture, emotions and several tangible and intangible themes through its expanse of words. From appreciation of certain aspects of life to critical commentary of social evils and national problems, the author has created a bouquet of verses which makes the reader stop and ponder.

The writing style and the evocative words bring justice to the gravity of the topics. The prowess of the poet is evident from the manner of analysis of the realities of life and the world. The majority of poems shed light on the unfortunate truth of the world and pen them down in impactful and passionate words. While poems like “Ajnabee” and “Bawari” add a romantic vibe to the collection, poems like “Chor” express longing and waiting for a beloved.

The poet has used instances for epics like Gita and Mahabharata to make strong cases in several poems. In others, he uses reality to make equally significant arguments. The poems in this collection examine the unrelenting and unforgiving nature of life as well as bring out the nationalistic themes in a striking way. I initially picked up "Urvi" because my mother is fond of Hindi poetry but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a truly beautiful read for me too! I love to read poetry. They are usually a great way to start reading again after a break. And sometimes there are some lines that just hit at the exact point of your heart. And if it’s in Hindi, I not only read it, I also recommend it to anyone and everyone around me! And that’s why I want to share about this beautiful poetry collection which I finished within a day.

Urvi is a collection of poems which feels close to heart. Each and every poem is written in a very unique style and manages to leave an impact. It not only talks about human emotions like fear, love, devotion but also on social issues and political issues too. Some of my favourites were Panchsheel(पंचशील), shramik(श्रमिक), gadar(ग़दर) etc. The language is poetic and contributes to the premise of the poems. It makes them more beautiful and interesting as well! Some lines are so vivid and beautiful that it made me daydream!

If you want to read something different in hindi which inspires and feels personal as well, I would recommend this poetry collection. Written in a beautiful language, it’ll strike a chord with the readers who enjoy poetry and enjoy reading on diverse topics as well. So, whether you are new reader or you read regularly, you should give this book a try.

Urvi is a compilation of 100 deeply evocative Hindi poems. The poet explores themes of love, society, nature, identity, and emotion. Reading Urvi was truly refreshing for me. मुझे समय–समय पर कविता पढ़ना बहुत अच्छा लगता है और काफ़ी समय से मैंने कोई हिन्दी कविता–संग्रह नहीं उठाया था। जब यह पुस्तक मेरी नज़र से गुज़री, तो यह मुझे तुरंत आकर्षित कर गई।

I recently picked up Hindi poetry after such a long time, and it felt fantastic! The anthology "Urvi" is a real gem, filled with poems that touch on important themes like spiritual growth, global harmony, and women's empowerment, as well as our love for nature.

What I really appreciate is how the poems dive into serious issues, like poverty, female foeticide, and environmental pollution, making us stop and think about what’s happening around us. The poet has a beautiful way of capturing what it’s like to live in our world today and encourages us to look deep within ourselves.

They each highlight how we can work together to make the world a better place and remind us how important our unity is. Plus, they point out the pollution and challenges we face, which makes me reflect on our collective journey. Overall, I think the poet does an amazing job of inspiring us to care about these issues!

'उर्वी: काव्य-चयनिका' राजीव कुमार दुबे द्वारा लिखी गई एक बहुत ही सुंदर कविताओं का समग्र है। यह कविताएं कई सारे विषयों पर आधारित है जैसे की- सामाजिक मुद्दे, महिलाओं का सशक्तिकरण, देश प्रेम, प्रकृति एवं संस्कृति। बस यही नहीं, इस किताब के द्वारा कवि हमें और भी गंभीर विषयों पर सोचने को मजबूर करते हैं जो हमारे आसपास चल रहा है जैसे की कन्या भ्रूण हत्या। यह कविताएं पाठक को यह कविताओं को पढ़कर रुकके सोचने पर मजबूर करता है।

मैंने कोई हिंदी किताब बहुत दिन बाद पढ़ी। यह 100 कविताएं बहुत ही खूबसूरत तरीके से लिखी गई है। छंद काव्यात्मक हैं और ऐसी कविताएं पढ़ने मुझे बहुत पसंद है। यह कविताएं छोटी हैं और समझने में आसान भी हैं।

मज़दूर कविता के द्वारा कवि कहते हैं कैसे एक मज़दूर की जिंदगी कठिन होती है- वह इतना श्रम करते हैं, मगर वह अक्सर अनदेखे रह जाते हैं। मुझे और भी कई कविता है बहुत पसंद आई जैसे की- हौसला, रहमत, जाड़े की धूप और और कुर्बान। वैसे ही मुझे कविताओं का बहुत शौक है, और यह किताब मुझे बहुत ही पसंद आई। मैं यह किताब सभी लोगों को पढ़ने के लिए कहेंगी। और इसमें बहुत सारे विषयों के बारे में भी लिखा गया है, तो यह सबके लिए ही बहुत अच्छी किताब होगी।
