Lofts: New Design for Urban Living
Lofts, by definition, are former commercial spaces that have been converted for residential use and living/work environments. But lofts, by design, are vast silent expanses, soaring arches, stalwart steel girders, massive beams, and all the powerful drama of a curtain-time stage set. Lofts are a designer's dream. The importance of urban loft design for the architectural and design world is highlighted in this collection of the finest, most dramatic of these transformed spaces. Lofts: New Designs for Urban Living takes you on an intimate tour of residential lofts in the major cities of the world including New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, London, Toronto, Paris, and Tokyo. Projects include work from cutting-edge designers: Roto, Fred Fisher, Peter Anders, Neil Frankel, Briggs/Iacucci, Peter Tow, Kar Ho, Moneo/Brock, Belmont Freeman, Lotek, Brayton & Hughes and more. Complete with informative text, Lofts features full-color photographs, plans, and a valuable resource guide for anyone who has every dreamed of converting a commercial building into a residential loft.

Back in the day Goodreads was a really good booksite which said that all our reviews would remain our own and if you didn't want to share the love with our companies, you could uncheck the relevant box and that would be respected. Goodreads is Amazon now and Amazon respects only money. My reviews are shared without my permission with Google and Google Play and GrAmazon is happy with that, probably gets money from sharing all Goodreads reviews. Hence reviews will often have this ridiculous first paragraph and the rest of the review will be in spoilers.

I am forever reading decorating bks but rarely implementing ideas (perhaps because i like so few of them...
I used to look at (and look for) many of these one space living (and small space living) books because i lived in such cramped quarters (and i always wanted to live in a loft besides that~still do). I now have a few more rooms but too much stuff...
This book like so many others has great pictures and some ideas but is a little thin on content... (tho it is always nice to look at pictures...)
