Ariana and Damon thought it was bad enough that their home burned to the ground. But when bodies are unearthed on their property, the police pin them as suspects — and their world turns upside down.

Damon has always been haunted by his father’s past, but more than ever before, being Cal Jones’s son is an even bigger burden to bear. Worse yet, his wife is getting dragged through the mud along with him.

This book was great but really busy. There are things going on within every relationship. It seems as if everyone has a killer in their past and an abduction also. It makes for some great misdirection and plotting of this mystery was intricate and engaging. The characters seemed to share a lot of angst within their friendships and love relationships. It made for a great read and I recommend it to anyone who likes to keep their mind focused in on their stories!

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.

Wow! Just wow!

Ariana and Damon's house burns to the ground and they're ready to rebuild, but ... There's always a but, isn't there?

What a rollercoaster. Friends, families, and a lot of things going on in this book. It kept me turning the virtual pages. I love the characters, spin-offs from books starring other family members. It was like meeting up again with old friends and seeing how much their children had grown.

I hope there will be more books in this series.

🏘🏡Peaceful subdivision? I don't think so...😟

I found this a quick, suspenseful story with plenty of character movement as Alex Mercer's daughter Ariana and her husband Damon deal with suspicious police and anxious neighbors. Missing women, bodies in the garden and no good leads on who's the culprit working their evil in the neighborhood: what a mess! I liked that the character count stayed reasonably low so I got to spend more time with each. I also like stories like this one that are partially told from the criminals perspective so you get some insight on their motivation.

Although it's not as tense a pageturner as the series starter, it was a good, easy read with good pace and a happy conclusion. One of the characters suggests that Ari become a private investigator rather than or in addition to her work teaching women protective security techniques; I'd be all for that!

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Murder, Accusations, Abductions and More Murder – This book will have you turning pages faster than a blazing fire. There are several friends of Arial and Damon, all living in a gated community who are involved in this story, and tempers flare more than once. Who is the killer? Is it one of the friends? Someone who has tricked the people and police for some time. I will say no more, as I post no spoilers. This story shows how true friends will always be there for each other, even if recklessly. It has a good ending, with thoughts of more to come. I do recommend it.

I was sent an ARC copy to read and review. The story begins where WATCH YOUR BACK ends. Ariana and Damon's house is burned to the ground and they have started rebuilding. That's where the plot gets interesting and the mystery begins. Ariana & Damon and their three friends are in the thick of things. The story moves right along with twists and turns which keeps the reader interested. All is well in the end but left on a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. A good fast read perfect for a relaxing summer day.

This author certainly writes a great suspense story. It was great catching up with Ari and Damon as adults and married. Previously they were teens in the Alex Mercer series. After their house burns down and bodies are found buried on their property things look bad for them. The more they and their friends dig into it the more eerie things get. There is a murderer in their neighborhood and they are not going to stand for it even if it puts them in danger.

Another story full of a variety of characters, with mystery, some more secrets, of course death as in found bodies, friendships, (new & old). An onery, yes, I am talking about you Kamada, not a policeman, he's a Detective. I actually don't mind Detective Rojas now, she's ok. Join Ariana, Damon, Rita, Charles, Lia and newcomers Maya and twin Olivia in this rescue and so much more!

This is a fast paced entertaining mystery. It has a page turning suspenseful plot. There are all kinds of questionable things going on in the neighborhood. Seems like Damon and Ariana just can’t stay away from trouble. This is a very enjoyable series. *this was a complimentary copy and this is my honest review*

This is another great installment in the Ariana Jones series. The pace of the story was a little off, though. It slowly built, then gathered a lot of speed, and then just stopped. It almost felt like something was missing, like a huge chunk was cut out. It did still leave me wanting more, and I will continue reading this series.

This is the second book of this series with Ariana and Damon as main characters, known from the Alex Mercer series.

Ariana and Damon's house was burned down by their friend's ex-husband whose in jail now. Unfortunately the police are digging up bodies on their property so they are suspects, Damon only because his father was a serial killer. Some strange things are happening and all the friends will be dealing with their own demons until Maya turns up and brings them all together to help her.

I enjoyed this book and am already looking forward to the next one. Maybe another neighbor has some secrets?

I received an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

A great fast moving suspense. This family can not escape the bad shit! Dead bodies are turning up in their yard and their street. I liked the killers POV and how this all unwinds. Definitely a page turner.

This series is amazing, full of suspense and action! I was riveted to my seat during this whole book. The way the author gets the reader into the head of the killer really added to the suspense and realism. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to delve into the next one!

What an intriguing story with plenty of action to keep you hooked. House burning down with danger still out there. Impossible to not feel the emotions that go on with the characters. Binge worthy as always.

Who knew there was more than one killer in this neighborhood. Ari and Damon cannot seem to escape this nightmare. I really love a good mystery and following the clues along with Ari was fun. Close knit group but with secrets of their own.
