Riding High is packed with untold episodes from the Jupiter journey of Ted Simon's book Jupiter's Travels: his confrontations with a murderous military in Chile, his farcical arrest in India, bizarre customs in Thailand and Malaysia, his hilarious entanglements with a bottle of bad Dubonnet in Ecuador, and many more. Simon contrasts them with the touching and turbulent events that followed his return to domesticity, and explains what became of him in 'life after travel.'
More experiences from Ted Simon's motorcycle odyssey around the world. Includes experiences in Argentina, Equador, and Chile. Not as engaging as "Jupiter's Travels," but still worth reading.
Ted Simon takes us on a tour of places that others rarely go to and has many an interesting tale to tell along the way. I challenge you not to enjoy this.
Not as good as Jupiters Travels... but good all the same.
After reading his first book this one was a bit of a disappointment. Some good stories, but you can tell that he used the best ones first. Much more about his daliances and romances in this book.
The gaps of "Jupiters Travels" are somewhat filled in by this book. Though 4 years of travelling seems to produce material enough for several more books..
