Admittedly, I came here because I heard his schlong was as long as a forearm........
BUT LIKE DID THE ELVES NEED TO HAVE SLICK????? WAS THE LOW LEVEL OF OMEGAVERSE NECESSARY???
Maybe it was just for the logistics of managing to stick a forearm up your ass, but come on, REALLY????

This was basic, grade 10 skilled level English at best. If you're going to immerse me into a fantasy world with Orcs & Elves, Clan wars, Arranged marriage, Size diff smut... IMMERSE ME? TF?

4.5 🌟 I picked up this book because the elf on the cover looks like legolas and he was my biggest teenage crush, and who wouldn’t wanna see him smoochin’ with a cute muscular orc?? 🤭💕
I’m glad to say that this book took me by surprise on how great the writing and how heartfelt the romance between Teagan and Zervut were. Their relationship development flowed naturally and somehow simply, with moments of peace and coziness. I love that they both have intentions in making their arranged marriage work for their kingdom/clan and also for their own happiness. I would love to see more of this take on the popular trope. But I have to warn other readers to not get too comfortable on the cozy vibes (I’m still recovering from the whiplash when the plot took a turn)!
I also loved the spicy scenes! It was the perfect balance of spice (definitely learned about few interesting things 🤭🔥) and loving tenderness 🫶
Lastly, this book needs a much better title! It doesn’t reflect this book at all!! It should be like smitten by the orc prince or smth 🥰

Adorei!!! Curto muito esse lance de raças diferentes se unindo. Uma união entre um elfo e um Orc ( fico pensando o que galadriel acharia disso 😅) O Orc zorvut é um ótimo personagem e quebra um pouco do clichê de que todo Orc é um brutamontes sem sentimentos, ele é o contrário disso tudo. Com certeza vou querer ler mais sobre ele e Taegan ❤️

After reading books with 400, 600 and 700 pages I wanted something short and this one appeared in my radar. I loved the idea of an Elf who is always described as the most beautiful mystical creature and an Orc that it's always described as the ugliest. That didn't play a part in here but that got my eye and also the arranged marriage trope. 🙈❤
Well, the book needs editing, a little bit more depth and thought about the development of the ideas would be nice. I did enjoy the characters, they were both sweet and charming, the sex was REALLY interesting and the idea was there but it needed work.
It's a charming short read that has potential and ends on a to be continued note. Hope the next one gets better. 🥰❤

I found this mostly frustrating, to be honest. Why don't they talk to each other? Taegan seems to be content being the damsel in distress and also super uninterested in his husband's cultural background and language. Zorvut speaks four languages and still Taegan can't be bothered to even consider learning Orcish. It could have been a good opportunity for entertaining misunderstandings but the way it never surpasses "hm, he really didn't know much about his husband and his life and such" was just painful to read. And the brief q&a of which the readers only learn about favourite colours and sisters did not satisfy my curiosity in the least. I was missing emotional intimacy/attraction, worldbuilding and a more compelling conflict.

Premise was good but the execution was a little bit...amateurish? The pacing was also not the best. I mean, the parts where I felt we should have had more time in, things sped up and just passed without exploring all the interesting possibilities.

This had its moments but I think needed a thorough edit.
The pacing is off. It's very slow through the middle, but then jumps suddenly out of control at the end.
This also features quites the overreaction from both MCs, and I am personally not a fan of the evil ex trope.
All that said, I did enjoy this book. I really am a sucker for an empathetic emotional bond, and I loved how they both riled each other up sexually through the bond. It was a bit surprising that they managed to miscommunicate so much in spite of being able to read each other's emotions, but at the end of the day I think that it was actually an effective tool at showing that they come from such different cultural backgrounds and that a magic bond won't fix all, they still have to make the effort to get to know and understand each other.
I'll probably pick up the rest of the series eventually, but I'm fairly happy with with they left things emotionally, and in spite of my annoyance at the overreaction, it did lead to a very sweet bonding moment for the couple.

Puh. Listen. The reason I bought this book is due to the author being a trans, gay man. Additionally, I really enjoy fantasy stories with elves, orcs, vampires, werewolves (just fantasy creatures in general) and I like to read smut.
So. Why did I only rate it two stars?
First of all, and I'm sorry to say it but I was so unbelievably bored most of the time. The writing was at best decent and, due to the book being an erotica novel, I also want to say a few things about that.
I read a few reviews and I saw a lot of people complain about the sex scenes and I decided I want to talk about this topic a little more in depth.
I like erotic scenes, I like to read them, watch them (if it's porn, sex scenes in movies or one of my favourites, art) and sometimes I just want to have plain smut. I enjoy gay, lesbian, hetero, I don't care really. But there were a looooot of sex scenes.
I'm not a gay man so I don't talk about feelings or things like this but to be honest, why write 6-8 sex scenes over 120 pages when you could write 2-3 more detailed and longer scenes?
I felt like the scenes repeated themselves and especially, the last sex scene I found myself so incredibly bored. Same descriptions, same positions. I haven't connected in any form or way with the characters, their story or emotions. You could think they are total strangers.
I really think there is a lot of potential with the story but unfortunaly I won't continue the series. Though, I will keep an eye on other books by the author.
In the mean time, I want to focus on more books with lesbian/bisexual women romance/erotica.

This was such a sweet beginning to an arranged marriage MM romance. I loved that the world building included LGBTQIA+ being normalized, to the point where an arranged marriage between 2 men was the backbone of the treaty. Taegan was confident, intelligent, took no shit, but was also tender to those he loved. Zorvut was quiet, unassuming, and patient. They fit so well together. I’m looking forward to the next book!

Lo siento, esto ha sido un quiero pero no puedo y me sabe fatal ponerle baja puntuación. Se la dejo en dos estrellas porque al final me he entretenido leyéndola.
Lo único que salvaría son los personajes en general, carismáticos, pero es que de resto siento que le falta profundidad e intensidad a la historia como desarrollo en la relación de los protagonistas. No se me hizo creíble. Sin embargo he seguido la saga para saber si remonta.

Silly misunderstandings that could've been resolved with a simple talk frustrated me to no end, although they were not surprising, really - I can't recall even one meaningful dialog happening between the main characters despite all the vigorous sex they've been having. For a whole month! Then suddenly they are confused about what they feel for each other, but again rather avoid discussing it and instead just being angsty for no apparent reason. For grown-up sons of two strongest(?) nations that made a pretty big(?) decision that will affect their people, those two acted like immature loafers.

I've already forgotten almost everything about this...
I love the arranged marriage trope, and this sounded cute, but this didn't give me anything... I just didn't feel the chemistry between the two main characters, and their personalities were really bland.
This was honestly just a sub-par m/m rip-off of Radiance by Grace Draven...

Main reason - I am bored out of my mind. There is only so much one can read about the prince being bathed in this water or that water, his - and everyone else's - clothing preferences, target practices, eating and just your other regular mundane little things nobody cares about.

Pretty simple plot, with probably too many sex scenes when these weren't really "needed", but it wasn't a bad story and I'm still interested enough to go read the other 2 books of the trilogy.

I bought this book because I read a really glowing review of it. But unfortunately I don't agree with that review. It's an incredibly tropey mess of a fantasy romance, which is fine. That's what I signed on for. But it's honestly just flat and amateurish. The characters are one-dimensional and there's not really much of a plot. Everyone around them is only there to be background for the romance.
Literally at the end there's war threatening and enemy forces are in his land attacking and the king says "oh well we'll deal with that later, the important thing is to get you two lovebirds married again." Like, no one has an opinion or motive that is at all their own. Except for the obvious antagonist, who you know is going to do something because he's one of three named characters in the castle, and the other two are the King and the main characters servant. (But just the one gets a name.)
IDK I could go on. And yunno with this kind of book, the least we could be given is decent sex scenes, but honestly it feels like the author is embarrassed about writing those scenes and they are extremely brief, giving the impression the sex lasts about 5 seconds. Do not write a novel about a orc with a giant cock and an elf who's basically a fanfic omega and then wimp out on the sex scenes! Deliver on the promise of the premise!

But bland. No real action or intrigue until the final pages,then ends on a cliffhanger. The Nayri storyline confused me,as i (mistakenly?) thought there were multiple warlords,ergo WHO was she married to,if not Hrul,and how could she be someone else's wife yet be cast aside by Hrul only one hour prior to the info becoming public knowledge? Also,in m/m,i prefer ONE of the pair to be dominant. Reading these two was like watching two spaghetti noodles. Zorvut was too much of a passive character,especially given that he was an orc, AND nicknamed "the relentless." None of that came through. Congrats on getting my initial kindle dime,but i didn't make enough of a connection with the characters to continue on with the series. Best of luck. My opinion only. Feel free to read and form your own.

OK I kinda loved this! I wasn't sure what to expect being that this is a new author, but I just loved the premise - forced marriage between an elf and an orc to keep the peace between the two kingdoms, which of course turns into more.
I love the subtle omega verse nods (ABO elements and mpreg is possible but not happening in this story at least) and the bond between Taegan and Zorvut. I especially love the slow growth in trust and friendship and then love between the two of them, I really enjoyed reading this one.
Of course, things can't stay happy forever and some major reveals are discovered near the end of the story. I went right away to get book 2 and am really enjoying it! Give this one a try yall, it's great!

This was a cute start to the series. Arranged Marriage between and Elf and an Orc. Slow burn but still sexy. Bit of drama from an ex lover.
I was a bit bored by this set up until the last 20 pages.. but I would continue this trilogy.

Goodness! The setup was standard marriage for the good of the people. Foreshadowing worh the attack after the wedding. Show they are still on top of a powder keg. Developing the relationship was pulling teeth. So I guess that tracks.
With all the animals killed in the writing of this book. I'm surprised PETA hasn't started a campaign. Showcasing the woes of horses. Which I've never seen. No matter how many roundups happen.
Roundups are when wild horses are bullied into an fenced-in area. Where they are counted. Some shipped off to ranches. While others make it to the glue factory or dog food processing center. Once they made it to a fast food restaurants freezer. Served to the public. The most meaty tender sandwich. That was the outrage of some cow eating communities. #NaNoWriMo every short story counts towards my word count. #NaNoWriMoRebel

Last night I finished Claimed by the Orc Prince by Lionel Hart. It is the first romance novel I've read in a long time. My friend Claire wanted me to buddy read it with her, so I did. She's a romance connoisseur. If I had to try and sum it up succinctly, I would say it didn't meet my expectations when I wanted it to, and didn't surprise me when I wanted it to. It's a romance about an orc/elf relationship. Despite being titled "claimed by the orc prince" it's the orc who leaves behind his entire family and society to live in the elven capitol. So the orc is really the one who got claimed. Then of course there's the size difference. When the orc's... member was described as big as the elf's forearm I thought to myself, 'clearly the elf is the one who will be doing the fucking, because there is no way a forearm can fit inside a person' but clearly I was wrong. With a little bit of lube and a whole lot of audacity, the gays are truly capable of anything. And Claire says that in romance novels you don't have to worry about anal prolapse. Then there was the self-lubing asshole, which was certainly a surprise and a hint of mpreg, which good for you, gays. Get each other pregnant if that's your thing.
But at the same time, it was excruciatingly predictable: the orcs ended up being the bad guys while the elves are good guys, who could have possibly guessed that?? (It's giving fantasy racism). About half the 'sex scenes' were just "we had sex in the library, and in the bedroom, and in the bathtub." The plot wasn't strong enough for there to be a lack of hanky-panky. I thought the entire point of the romance genre was to come up with elaborate situations for people to fuck each other. So the romance wasn't strong enough to make up for the lackluster plot. The plot wasn't complex enough to keep me invested without the hanky-panky.
Overall, for my first foray into the romance genre in years, I think it was a solid book. But I wanted more from it.

I do not like Teagan. Everything was like fast forward with him. He got over his previous relationship in a day. He broke bond and remarried his husband in a day or two. I couldn’t connect with the book and he irritated with me. there was not enough emotions to get me invested in this book.

It was good and easy to read but I felt like the plot was kind of "rushed" at the end. Everything was ok and then things got complicated in less than three pages. It came out of nowhere but I'll admit that it was obvious something like that was gonna happen. I've read my good share of fantasy books with arranged marriages by now. At least it wasn't a big drama and it ended up fast. Let's see how it goes in the second book.
