USA TODAY bestselling and award winning author Kate Bridges loves writing western historical romance and YA fiction. For research, she loves to travel to such faraway places as the Yukon, the Rocky Mountains, and London, England. Published worldwide, she’s been honored with Reviewers’ Choice awards and Top Picks on reader websites. When she’s away from her computer, you might find Kate with her family, canoeing the lakes or hiking the trails in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Quinn needs a nurse to care for his brother. Only problem, they're wanted by the law. Not so easy to walk into town and ask for help so he does the only thing left to him, he kidnaps the town nurse from a masquarade. fighting feeling of guilt only gets worse when he gets to know her.
Autumn tries hard to hate her kidnappers. She fears them. They may have ruined her one chance to start a business of her own. She has to make her meeting at the bank to plead for a loan, one more time. She tries to fool the outlaws into thinking she may have a contageous disease. It works for keeping most the men away, except for the one who actually grab her. At least they think she is to sick to go near the man who is injured. She wouldn't have a clue what to do for the poor man. But Autumn believes if the men discover she is not the nurse they wanted to nab, she will be of no use. What would happen then? She has to escape.
Conflict heavily surrounds them and the truth is buried deepily on both sides. Kate reveals the layers masterfully.
Not bad but also not great. Pretty much the definition of a middle of the road read. It had its good moments while I was reading but ultimately I found it rather forgettable. Hence, my failing to write a lengthier review for it.
Nelíbí se mi obálka. Nuda, nuda, šeď, šeď. Chatrný příběh, který nacpala asi do tří týdnů.

i didn't really fall for this book, i couldn't relate to the characters but i l I loved how the two main characters had a special influence on each other’s life: .In one hand, Autumn influenced Quinn and helped him cleaning his messy life and be an outstanding man who can protect a woman, in the other hand, Quinn too played an important role in changing Autumn's life style to the better
