Not a super in depth book, but gives a very good overview of all Europe has to offer. Separated by county and then focusing on major cities, this book is a good place to start, when figuring out what you want to do. Includes a section on hotels and restaurants, what to do before traveling abroad. There is a lot of good practical information for a new traveler, as well as a seasoned one.
