A beautiful book that captures the magic of Harry Potter’s world in a must-have volume ideal for fans and collectors.
As a huge fan of not only JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series but also the film phenomenon’s that brought Harry’s world to life (visually on screen), as a consequence I was so excited to add this book to my collection. The BBC have produced many products that co-inside with the Harry Potter films (1-8) such as yearly poster annuals, Portfolio’s and sticker books and deluxe poster books. This book contains magical scenes from the sixth film: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in which you can re-live the most memorable moments through stunning images. This wonderfully designed pull-tab, pop-up and lift the flap deluxe book is exquisite containing such high-quality photographic images from the film, and extra props such as Luna Lovegood’s Glasses, your Hogwarts train ticket and a Quidditch match book!
The dazzling cover catches your eye instantly with the shimmering gold effect glistening, for it has an almost archaic feel about this book as though it has been plucked from one of the shelves out of Hogwarts Library. There isn’t much writing at all in this hardback book, for it is a poster book, but the images and fun style make it quite special. If you are looking for something to treasure from Harry Potter’s magical world, or a book that would be great for autograph collecting (actors from films) or simply something to have fun with the pop-up tabs and flaps then this is ideal.
Inside includes…
The Hogwarts express with train ticket Quidditch Gryffindor team year 6 The half-blood prince Quibbler and Luna’s Spectrespects Death eaters mask Voldemort as Tom Riddle Horcruxes The room of requirement and pull-out scroll
…and lots more flaps to open, photographs and pop-up pictures!
Reasonably priced this good quality, exclusive and luxury book is not only a fantastic collector’s piece to treasure for years to come but which makes a great gift for the Potter-mad person. Witches, Wizards and Muggles alike will enjoy discovering what’s hidden beneath the flaps as you are transported back to the film instantly and those dramatic events that unfold, such as memories of Tom Riddle’s childhood and Ron’s triumphant Quidditch match. My only criticism is that I was expecting this book to contain more and was surprised to find only twenty pages, however they are cardboard pages and so are thicker than paper…perhaps I just wanted the magic to continue?! I would definitely recommend buying this book as it is a real treasure trove of spellbinding delights, which is worth every penny if you are a Potter fan.
When asked what my favorite of the Potter books are, I have always struggled with that question. I lean towards the earlier years, I prefer the younger more innocent years at Hogwarts – however as I listened to this one over the last few weeks I think I almost have to go with this book. This is really the book where all things come together, you really get to know what is going on and the main protagonists all are coming into their own… Ron and Hermione are hilarious in this particular book as they try to figure our relationships. Harry really has an even more important role than ever before – and even more so I feel than what he does in book 7 as this is the book where he does most on his own without the help of his friends.
