I really enjoyed and benefited from this book! I learned more about how healing can come about in our lives through the testimony at the beginning of the book, and more valuable things throughout such as how to pray using the model prayer Jesus gave us. She also teaches us how to pray the Word, which is a way we can be sure we are praying God's will and with purpose! I have been using this information since and have not forgotten it, and don't think I ever will! I recommend this book for every believer.

POWERFUL! There's no way that you can read this book and stay the same. My prayer life has taken a quantum leap. This book has powerful life-changing prayers for the bold!

Suzette Caldwell grew up with a praying family and experienced numerous prayer answers. For her it has always been a part of her life. But since she survived cancer she is teaching other people about praying because she believes it saved her life.
This book gives very interesting insights about the Lord´s Prayer and about why we pray and how it works.
There was much in this book I never heard before and it helped me to develop a greater understanding of prayer.
Caldwell has a very structured prayer life. She is building prayers for certain needs in the shape of the Lord´s Prayer. So she offeres a lot of examples for how to create a prayer in the image of the Lord´s Prayer. The book is quoting Bible verses about prayer and offers exercises.
It´s not the usual way how to pray... you don´t just tell God what´s on your mind.... you have to take time and write a professional prayer which you can read out loud as often as you like.
I found it very interesting and you get an instruction how to create very beautiful prayers you can also use in groups or in public.
Especially if you want to pray but don´t know what to say or if you never know what to pray it can help you.
I think this is an inspirational book to help you if you want to pray or if you have a special need. There are example prayers everyone can use.

Recommended for anyone struggling with developing a consistent prayer life or in need of a starting point to praying God's word for specific situations. It's not an emotional read but rather focuses on individual faith in what the Word of God says and how to develop a strategic plan for prayer that goes beyond self (empty words, vain repetition,) to praying for marriage, the church, community, businesses, government, missions, etc. Because the book places such an emphasis on the Word of God, if you don't consider yourself a good student of the bible, you can easily become one as you learn what the Lord says about specific areas of need and how to humbly present His word back to him through prayer and supplication. Can't place a finish date on this one; third time around!

I cannot recommend enough Ms. Caldwell's guide to prayer based on scripture and the Lord's Prayer. It does work! However, the actual writing of the book is repetitive and includes too many success stories for me. Also, she prays against gay people, and I cannot do that. She does think to prayer for elections and our national leaders! How many of us remember to do that? I do intend to use this book for a long, long time to write my most important prayers. I can say I have already done it with amazing success!
