Picked this up to get a base knowledge of siding so I could find out all the components of the job and then dig deeper with YouTube videos. You’re definitely not going to go out and side your house with this book alone but it’s a good starting place.
Great guide for anyone interested in roof repair or exterior wall remodeling. The book has detailed pictures and examples of how to roof and install exterior walls. Many types of roofs materials are covered such as asphalt shingle, ceramic tile and rolled sheet metal. The author goes into detail on installation and cost of each type of material. The book also goes into detail on stucco, brick and wood panel wall exteriors. Lots of pictures and helpful reference book for most homeowners.
I'm clearly not a home improvement guide book fan. This book had some good photos of home improvement jbs that I've never considered and/or tried, but using it as a reference volume is about the best idea I have for it.
