He pads the book A LOT with anecdotes, white space and illustrations. However, the content is extremely useful and easy to begin implementing in a classroom the very next day, if one chooses. In particular, the use of sound cues to signal the beginning or the end of particular student activities (lining up at the door, clearing off of desks, picking up new worksheets...frankly as many as possible!) will change my life as a classroom manager. I can't wait to start trying out more of Mr. Morris' ideas!

I love Rick Morris, but this book is a little dated now. Much of the information is not relevant now that many teachers are doing everything on their iPad or computer.

If you're an elementary school teacher, it's a great book. For everyone else, go see Rick in person or check out his website - he's an amazing speaker and offers many resources on his website.

A bit outdated in some aspects, but still plenty of good and always useful educator tips. Good reference book to use!
