Now you too can learn the secrets to knitting socks two at a time - from the toe up or cuff down. From the best-selling author of "Knitting Circles Around Socks", comes this exciting collection of fun and funky sock patterns. Now you can learn the secrets to knitting two socks at a time on two circular needles - from the toe-up! Featuring 12 brand-new patterns in men's, women's, and children's sizes, accompanied by simple step-by-step instructions, this is a must-have for anyone looking to add a splash of colour to their sock drawer.
I don't typically have a problem with Second Sock Syndrome but the idea of knitting two at a time on two circular needles is interesting and one I might try. (Plus, a good reason to buy more circular needles...) Also, the technique to close the "gusset gap" (p. 15) is also one I will try. I didn't find any patterns in here that I'd flag, though. There are SO MANY SOCK PATTERNS out in the world nowadays! This would be a good book for someone new to sock knitting!
This is specifically for those who want to knit their socks two at a time using magic loop or two circular needles. I have not tried this mainly because I have enough problems knitting one sock at a time using magic loop and not getting the yarn tangled or knotted by accident. I am not up to the challenge (yet) of juggling two balls of yarn on one needle.
Chapters and patterns for toe up and cuff down and some very pretty socks. Would like to see what Knitting Circles Around Socks has in it but no one owns it yet (in my library system).
