I watched the outstanding documentary, The Scots Who Fought Franco which was based on this wonderful book. Daniel Gray does true justice to the amazing Scots men and women who displayed so much courage and moral conviction to fight fascism in Spain. It’s an inspirational book which has firsthand testimony from letters from those who bravely travelled to Spain to be part of the International Brigade and also from the stories of all the many incredible women who did so much to raise funds and ...more
