S.D. Logan's The Code is a breathtaking action-packed young adult novel set in a dystopian post-apocalyptic future where a segregated -caste society has been set up and the battle for freedom and inclusivity has started. The main characters that move the narrative are a group of orphaned and lost children led by Fenesia and Johnny who battle the evil forces of the Kakus on their quest to find freedom and survival.

A fairly well-written novel that follows the formula of the chase, The Code is a tale that young and older adults should find most entertaining and wondering what will happen in the next book.
