Math Professor Wood definitely taught the right subject at Hughmoore because he was the common denominator in this drama filled story!! Chyyyyyy this book was so d*mn messy!! If this is the sought after HBCU college experience, I want zero parts 😆🙅🏽‍♀️

Yasmean was looking forward to a new start at a new school in a new town after leaving a toxic situation with her ex and got way more than she bargained for when she had two men vying for her attention. I mean who wouldn’t enjoy the chase of the top football player and the professor every woman on campus wants to take to pound town. Things escalated quickly in this book and I found myself yelling out on multiple occasions 🗣️IKYFL!!!

There were so many sub characters and side stories that were interconnected that I can even begin to break them all down because we would literally be here all day. Just know that in EVERY situation, Professor Wood was a 🗑️ 🍑 🥷!!!

If you’re looking for a messy good college story, you’re definitely going to enjoy this one!

Whew chile, almost every character in this book was a mess and drama followed them everywhere they went. With that being said, it made for a really fun read! Glad those that were doing people dirty got what they deserve. Everything came full circle in the end as well as some important lessons being learned.

One word to describe this story was messy…now this had plot twist after plot twist. Keenan got off too easy. I’m glad Kadia got what she deserved. Dulcie and Darren finding love was too cute. Omere applied pressure Yasmean had no choice but to fold. I’m glad they got their HEA even Aracely.

Messy Bessy!!! When I tell you , another college love story!!! This book was so crazy !! But not in a bad way , it still made me want to keep going , it kept me interested in what the heck gone happened next !! Y’all Keenan the ultimate charmer but underneath all that a low down dirty N**** the FREAKING NERVE!!!! Whew!!! I said this man is sleeping with EVERYBODY MASTER Manipulator …. But this book was pretty good and ton of funny moments but you are going be with WTF!!!! ALOT!!! I will say how I thought this story would go it went in a completely different direction…

All the characters are something else! I did like O & Yas . & finally Dulcie gave in with Darren!! Cause he wasn’t letting up!

My first book of Shvonne , & I’ll be digging in her catalog.

This book did not lack drama! If only college was this crazy when I attended lol! Who knows, maybe it did. Professor Wood was crazy and definitely took advantage of his students. Omere could do no wrong!! I loved his honesty and his real intentions. I would have loved to see more of the relationships between the characters but nonetheless this kept me entertained.

Oh my

I need more. I like me some Yasmean and Omere. This was good. Everything always come out and the end. The couples don't even have much time to be together, before its epilogue time.

Omere was the truth💕

Queen Shvonne Latrice really gave us one drama filled, plot twist after plot twist love story.
Whew Chil, if 🗑 a** community 🍆 motherfudgesicklestix was a person it would most definitely be Neil and Professor Wood🙄. These ninjas have being a 🗑 a** ninja a whole new meaning. The beyond used their power to manipulate and take advantage of the women they came in contact with. They both got what they deserved for all the hell they put those women through, especially Yas. It's the audacity for me.
Arcely got the ultimate revenge and I lmao when she spilt that 🍵 to the Professor trifling a**😳😂😂
Khadia got her karma too for not only try to put a baby on Omere, but to try and set him up to list everything🙄😡. I really wanted Yas to tag that disrespectful ho at least once.
Karen was a motherfudgesicklestix and I was here for all the shenanigans she pulled to get back at the Professor 🗑 a**🤷🏽
Dulcie was so dang secretive, so her doing the Professor didn't surprise me at all. I lived Darren, so I was glad she finally stopped putting her life on hold for that community🍆🗑 of a ninja Professor Wood. Darren was a real one and he proved that he was definitely worthy of her time.
Omere fine sexy BDE motherfudgesicklestix😍😜! The played no games when it came to his future, providing for his mom and sister, and the way he pursued the ish out of Yas. He was so intentional with his pursuit and Bay-be he was my kind of nasty😜😂.

Amazingly good read‼️

Neil was trash 🤦🏾‍♀️ but that damn Professor Wood was bottom of the barrel trashhhhhhhhh. I thought he really had a thang for Yasmean and was literally shocked when all the his dirty little secrets came out.

I thought Dulcie was lesbian but she was being secretive because she too was caught up thinking she was in a relationship with Professor Wood. I would’ve never thought that Khadia was apart of his harem of students with the way she displayed her obsession with Omere. Whew baby that darn professor was really a cold piece of work chile, manipulative ass 🤦🏾‍♀️ had all these girls thinking he was gone be with them after their graduation.

Khadia got what she deserved and Professor got what he deserved. Aracely was too good for him and he knew it. When I read she married his cousin I was like nah sis you don’t get a ninja back like that but oh well he deserved that too lol.

Omere and Yasmean were the cutest, the chemistry was undeniable. Omere set out to make her his and he did just that. Ugh I hate to see them go but I loved that this was a standalone.

Every Single Character is delusional

Every single character was delusional and of low moral character. If your not a fan of cheating then this book is not for you cause every character cheats or is sneaking around with everyone. It was so confusing cause they would declare their love for one character and then the story turns around and you find out they have been messing with or are in love with a different character.

The Ebonics was really crazy and unrealistic for established college students and professors. The ratchet mess was on 10. The sex scene were cringy and for the life of me didn’t understand why minor characters got a point of view. I finished the story so I can call it a good “hood” read but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I can't believe how much I loved this story. It's a drama-filled light read set on a college campus. The story follows a deceitful professor who is married but has relationships with more than 10 college students and a professor. Each girl believes they will be together once she graduates. None of the girls are aware of one another and only one of the girls knows he's married. This dude was manipulative AF and had control issues. Though he was much older than most of the girls, he acted childish. He was very clingy and desperate at times. He also had a drug problem and lived beyond his means.

Everything comes to a head when his wife catches him cheating and blows up his world. The professor becomes jealous that one of his former girls has moved on si he talks another girl into pinning a baby on him! That girl also plants drugs on him and nearly ruins his future.

The book ends well. I was satisfied with most of the outcomes tho I would've loved it if someone off'd the professor.

Da Bomb!

Ms. Latrice has done it again. Another bestseller! I love her storytelling ability. The way she weaves the storylines around her characters is masterful. She’s one of the best to do it. Also, it’s a standalone at that! I often forget the previous storylines and characters when it’s a series so standalones are the best for me. Okay, let’s talk about the book. I actually have mixed feelings concerning all of the characters which is a good thing. In real life, no one is perfect and this is very much reflected in this book. However, what I liked most was the accountability that Yasmean, Duckie, and Mali took for their actions. That was refreshing. I liked how Omere and Darren consistently pursued their women. The women were strong and independent while showing their vulnerability. Good job Ms. Latrice!

This book theme was really community d*** with a side of delusional because WTF!! If you think having an affair with your fine young college professor is hot and sexy wait until you read this.. Like at first I was like hmmm…maybe??? Then I was completely disgusted. I mean it just got perpetually worse especially when you get further along with that characters and his supporting character storyline. Once you got past that college professor and his many lies that didn’t make sense the college romance was kind of like an afterthought. I mean very realistic content in some regard but it was both overwhelming like omg enough of this and underwhelming in the telling of certain characters perspective. I honestly wish we would’ve got more of Aracely and her perspective because how did we get there?? This was an easy, chaotic read.

Definitely another college love story …

This book has so many twist and surprises. The only decent guy in this book was Darren 😂 and I love the ending he got.
This book is fiction but so much about it is reality. Females do fall for their professors. Males do too. College is where young adults truly have their freedom and where real life begins. There are also so many Keenans out there too who truly have no morals.
Keenan was an awful person and that’s putting it lightly. There was no limits to his deceitfulness and I feel like he was not reprimanded enough.
Overall this book was more of a high school drama read because everyone was so childish and silly acting. Everyone was sleeping with everyone without any hesitancy. At least most of them wrapped up but…
Good book and it kept me attentive the entire read so 4 stars for sure.

back like you never left

Who am I kidding? Shvonne never left. She consistently delivers and I’ve been in love with her characters for years now. She once implied that standalones were more challenging for her to write than a series, but this story says the opposite. If anything, I support her sprinkling standalones in between her series from now on. If this is challenging, I can’t wait to see what easy looks like!

Omere😍😍😍😍 you will love him from the start, and his beginning and chemistry with Yas was so believable. And Yasmean❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m loving her locs and her strength. Just enough naïveté to fit her age and life experiences, but also enough smarts to know her worth. Speaking of worth, THIS read is worth it and I’m glad I didn’t rush. 👏👏👏*FIN*

Caught Up!!

Neil was friendly community d!"k. He knew he had kids with Selma. Talk about he's a virgin. His parents made him marry Selma which is good, but he's always going to have Yasmean on his mind. Professor Wood had B.D.E that's how he caught up. He had Dulcie, Karen on a string. He was low-key stalking Yasmean a$$. Again he needed Aracely to fund his lifestyle. Mali lost her friendship over Neil. I'm happy that Dulcie gave Darren a chance and forgot about Keenan. Khadia thought she was going to pin her baby on Omere and put him in a trick bag when she put the drugs in his car. Omere told Yasmean that she was going to be his future wife and he made it happen. Yasmean came through with the lawyer.

Love!

First off let me just say this, I read a lot of books with a lot of great authors, but as I always say Shvonne will forever be my favorite, no only bcuz her pen game is the shit! But because when I first started reading heavy, one of her books was the first that I read and I was so depressed going through a lot of shit and if it wasn’t for her books and good vibes Idk how I would have got thru all of that! So she always has a special place in my heart!

On the review tho, this book was kind of different that her other books and I loved it so much! It was juicy as hell and I love me some book drama! Lol but this is a must read period! My girl popped her shit per usual!

Let me tell you Professor Wood is shady AF and got no morals! Yas truly got caught up with his scheming behind. IMHO Yas just jumped right in with Wood and truly didn’t think things through!

I love me some Omere. He and Yas were fire 🔥. Love their chemistry! Of course, there’s always going to be some scheming folks!

There were so many lil subplots and aaaaah aaaaah moments you were like, “no she didn’t or no she didn’t or I did not see that coming”.

Wood got off too easy, but I guess those young students were consenting adults so there’s nothing much they could do to him”.

All in all enjoyable read!

You did it again

You always come through with that fire!!! Now....that Professor, no that man child had some serious issues. He was the epitome of a manipulator to those young women. How his "fiance" was with him for 8yes and didnt know he had parents!?! Khadia smh wasnt just a b$#@! but also desperate for Omere to be with her. I was praying that baby wasnt his. Dulcie, i thought sis was gay at first too but im glad she finally gave Darren a chance and her heart. Yasmean was definitely my girl. She had a lapse in judgment dealing with Kinky Kee but she got it right. Love the ending.

Another 5⭐

It doesn't matter how long it takes for Shvonne Latrice to put something out she NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!!! She truly has a gift with the pen! Yasmean and Omere were something else. Baby the chemistry between the two were off the chart from the gate! Every encounter in the beginning had me cracking up! He was not playing with her at all, he knew he wanted her and got her! Whew chile,Kennan was a whole slut out here. Dude was screwing everybody!! I was so happy when he was finally caught. Now Khadie needed a well whooped @$# for setting Omere up. I just wanted Yasmean to whoop her one good time. I really enjoyed this!!!! I can't wait to see what's next!

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I genuinely enjoyed everything about this 📚 book!!! Neill and Keenan were so trash 🗑 but Keenan was especially 😡manipulative with all the female students that he dated. He got exactly what he deserved!!! Who knew Khadia 😡 was soo trifling and vindictive!!

Omere was definitely bae 😗 and I loved the way he pursued Yas. I knew it would happen and last because the love ❤️ was so evident and pure. The seggs was 🔥💦🔥!!!😂 I am glad Dulcie finally gave Darrin a chance to love ❤️ her like she deserved.

This book was definitely funny and held me to the very end!!! Great job👍🏽👏🏽👍🏽❤️

Shvonne Latrice doesn’t disappoint!

This was such a good read. Like all the others, I was enthralled from beginning to end. I hated to see how Mali and Yas’ friendship turned out but I completely understand. But Keenan???? What a piece of work!!!! At first I had high hopes for him, but the way his story turned, he was a whole piece of trash. Just throw the whole man away. I try not to put spoiler alerts in my reviews because I want people to read for themselves. There is so much more that I can say, I will let you all find out. Either way, the ending was great was so go find out for yourselves.

4.5 🌟

Okay the beginning was a bit rough for me. I started and stopped reading this book 3 times. But today I decided to go ahead and power through. And I must say I was intrigued.

Yas was my girl. She was naive like I expected for a college girl messing with a professor but she wasn’t and she was about her stuff.

Professor Wood was just nasty and annoyed me to no end. He kept playing people like it was going out of style.

But Omere. Omere was a sweetheart and I loved him. I loved how he was with Yas and the whole relationship.

This was actually a good read and gave me all the HEA feels.

A Must Read

You did it again Shvonne as you always do. You never cease to amaze me. This story had great flow to it. The story line wasn't rushed and kept my attention. Leaving me wanting more and wondering what was going to happen next. It wouldn't be you Shvonne if secrets didn't keep popping out making the story line more and more interesting. I love the college/adult setting not too biased and not too gullible or naive. I would definitely recommend this book to numerous of readers and would be so comfortable reading the book all over again.

A Good time was had!

I have been searching how to say that this was such a really good story. The writer takes us places ,but gives us glimpses of what life is like when not only dealing with young adults and their emotions but what happens when you have someone preying on them. The touches on quit a few dark subjects ,but doesn't let us languish. Overall we got good writing, and storytelling, but I really would have like a scene where Yasmean steps for the first time. Take a trip to college town.
