Kendall has loved Cheyenne for a long time. It was an interesting story, but I thought Kendall was a bit weird when they first started out as a couple. Perhaps she couldn't get her head around that she was going out with the only man she had ever loved. Cheyenne had already told her that marriage wasn't for him yet. I loved the story, characters and the storyline. (Lots of sexual content too!)

With this new book, we hear more about Rowdy Ranch and those that live there. Long-time family friends and neighbors are the Abbott family with Kendall having gone to school with Angie McLintock and her many brothers. That brings the story of twins Cheyenne and Clint who have reached the age of near 30 and still unattached in the world of romance. On the sideline is Kendall who is now alone since her parents passed and she has always been in love with Cheyenne and watched from afar as he dated, worked as a fireman and was oblivious to her caring heart. This is their story and I loved it. It seems to be outside the modern world of reality to be an innocent at 25 but I appreciated it and think it can be a good thing to be more like our parents. Happy reading to all the fans of this author; it’s a great storyline.

This book was entertaining and interesting. It pulled me in and was flowed well and was easy to enjoy. Kendall knows what she wants and she wants Cheyenne. She has had a major crush on him since she was little and knows that she loves him and he is the right one. The biggest problem is with him being her best friend's brother, he has kept her at arms length and just sees her more as a little kid than someone he could be with. She is determined to have him see her in a different light and sets out to do that with the bachelor auction. She wins him and has hatched a plan with his sister. I loved that she didn't change herself to get his attention and that that was part of the reason he really started falling for her. Even when Cheyenne starts seeing her as a beautiful woman and being sexually attracted to her, he is determined at first not to cross that line and then when he does, he is determined that it is only for a short while and to do help her explore this new side of things since she was a virgin. Sometimes I definitely wanted to smack him for how obtuse he was being but Kendall only lets him get away with so much as she is trying to get him to realize his feelings without scaring him off. I enjoyed how strong she was and the story was cute. It had me laughing at times and was highly entertaining. I have a feeling that all the siblings in this series are going to be funny on their path to finding love with everything they get up to and when their other siblings get involved.
The narrator did a good job with the story and adding that extra dynamic to bring it to life.

The Auction
Cheyenne is a firefighter, the more reserved twin & a bachelor at a Charity Auction, to raise funds for a new firetruck. He knows he doesn't have the moves or courage to get on stage, so he gets his twin Clint to go on stage. Kendall is his baby sister's best friend & is determined to win Cheyenne at auction. Cheyenne has always seen her as a child, Kendall has plans for him to see her as a woman, the perfect woman for him.
The story took place over a 2 week time period. Although, Kendall manages her own ranch, that part of story was lame. She has 2 horses & 3 chickens, not much to manage. No mention how she gets feed or hay for the horses. The only chores she has are mucking out horse stalls & feeding animals. She did get investment knowledge from her father before he passed away. There is no mention if she continued her education after high school. Although she hung out at the McClintock Ranch, it sounds like she led a sheltered life since she didn't date, as she was waiting for Cheyenne.

I'm very excited about this series because not only does it have cowboys, it has firefighters too! The dialogue at the beginning of this book felt a little abrupt and perhaps even stilted. This made it difficult to get fully absorbed in the story but if you keep reading it quickly picks up.
I don't think I've ever read any of Thompson's books where the main character is a virgin and I think Thompson wrote it in an interesting way. She hinted at the virgin shame 20 somethings sometimes face and I don't think I've seen that in other smut. The character, Kendall, did a great job at not letting that stop her from enjoying herself. I also liked that once Cheyenne got over his "can't be with a virgin" moment, the two of them were comfortable and playful.
As rukhimonster, I love that she used cookies to lure her cowboy (who was also a firefighter-- somebody call 911 because things got hot real quick!).

Pretty spicy
"I didn't say it before, but I'm honored that you chose me to be your first."
I am a fan of this author, but the one thing that set this book apart was the on going thing about sex. It seem to take over the whole story and kind of turned me off. I almost didn't finish reading, but I finish what I start.

...we don't need them. Clearly we do if you'd sacrifice the circulation in your arm because you don't want to wake me up."
Next up is "Testing the Cowboy's Resolve - Book 3, with Equine Veterinarian Marsh McLintock and P.E. Teacher Ella Bradley. They were BFF growing up and wouldn't do anything to ruin that relationship. But, Marsh to the rescue after Ella's wedding goes up in smoke.
Friends forever, Lovers never....yah right!
Happiness is a cup of coffee and a good book!

I have read all the Buckskin Brotherhood books, and now both Rowdy Ranch books. They were all great, but this one is my favorite, so far.
The pace is fast. The story sweet, and the characters are good people you can root for. I also liked the heroine’s slightly “old fashioned” principles. Kendall is a woman who knows what she wants, and who she is. She isn’t about to let the world (or Cheyenne) tell her she has to want, or be, something else.
I loved EVERYTHING about this story.
I very much enjoyed visiting the Buckskin Ranch and now I am very much enjoying my visits to the Rowdy Ranch. The people here are just as appealing as the citizens of Apple Grove. I hope there are many,many more books in this series.

I loved Kendall so much! She is a real firecracker. She knows what she wants, and she has a plan to get it. She never shies away from uncomfortable topics or potential awkwardness -- just handles everything with a smile. It was obvious that she and Cheyenne had known each other for years because they had the best banter. Cheyenne is a sweetheart, but he is convinced that he can't be the right man for Kendall. Who will win?

Kendall has had a crush on Cheyenne since high school and when she gets the change to "buy" him at a bachelor auction - she does so with fierce determination - when he shows up on her ranch to help out for the week she has a very special request that meets a hard NO - they work it out finally and I love reading this series and revisiting with other characters from previous books - I read a bookfunnel version and freely leave my review!

Fun and steamy! Kendall has been stuck on Cheyenne since she was a kid. Cheyenne avoided her like the plague. Then she bids on him at the auction to put her plan into action. Let the games begin! Cheyenne was trying to be all noble, but he’s no match for Kendall who’s becoming his Sunshine. Loved it!

This book was interesting as Kendall fell in love with Cheyenne when she was five years old. She is now twenty-five and he is thirty. I enjoyed the humor and fun in the story and how Angie, Cheyenne's sister and Kendall plot to get Cheyenne to fall in love with Kendall. It was a cute, fun, romantic story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Such a sweet, heartwarming cowboy romance. Both characters are so lovable, he's as stubborn as she is patiently determined. Great read that fulfilled my romance fix, I already look forward to rereading it in the future. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. It was so good that I purchased it. Well worth it!

Stoking the Cowboy's Fire: Kendall knew who she wanted since she was five. He has avoid her for a long time. Cheynee felt she was to young for her but she was determined to prove him wrong with the auction. Fantastic writing, great dialog and wonderful characters. It had lots of surprises and some suspense. I really enjoyed it.

I have loved your books even before I got my first Kindle !!!
As usual the book was amazing!!! I had many in paper back before I got my first Kindle. My books were lost in a water flooding accident,now I look forward to beginning my new collection in m Kindle. As always Vicki Lewis Thompson delivers a story full of heat, humor and all the feels to keep the reader interested. Lots of fun watching the characters overcome the obstacles (some of them self imposed) to teacher the HEA. Can't wait for the next in series.

Following the series it was sweet to see a little girl growing up and waiting for her dreams to come true. Kendall and Cheyenne was heartwarming from the first. Growing with them was a journey. Full of happy, angst and heated romance, this was definitely a page turner! Book gifted to me.

I have been reading Vicki Lewis Thomason’s books for quite awhile. I love them all. Great stories, well written and the series have lots of great characters that keep showing up in each book.

Good spices with little suspense and even less angst. Thompson has a smooth writing style that I enjoy, so I'm giving this story 4 stars. It's still just a generic romance with little action but lots of good dialogue.

Really enjoy this series from the Mc Lintock ranch and this book is no exception. Amazing characters, great writing and the circumstances that each family member finds themselves in is so entertaining.
