Tony Mitton's books are hit-and-miss with my boys (ages 4 & 8). Some they've loved. Others they've disliked. This one falls in the "okay" category.

It's a rhyming book about a little bear who asks his mother/father questions all day.

"Why does the sun come and light up the day?
To wake you from sleep so you come out and play."

or

"Why does the path make such wiggles and bends?
To take us on journeys and lead us to friends."

Precious answers by a mama bear to a little “curious” bear that remind us to be filled with wonder by the mysteries of life. I just loved the books message. I wasn’t crazy about the visuals, and also the change in font and font choice was a distracting choice, aesthetic wise. However, the message was so sweet and a good reminder for me.

The rhyming was ok, and I really like that the younger & older bear are gender neutral, but the illustrations were not to my taste.

Hauska vuoropuhelu uteliaan pikkukarhun ja hänen isänsä välillä. Pikkukarhu kyselee kaikesta ympärillään näkemästä ja isäkarhu vastaa.

A very reasonable book about a curious little bear who asks questions about his day that focus on nature, but also bring up deeper issues. Images of the little bear crossing streams, playing in the wind, and walking pathways all exhibit different feelings, such as joy, playfullness, and adventure.

Clever, cute, fun, a joy to read.

Recommended Ages: toddlers/preschoolers

A little bear wakes in the morning and asks his mother questions about all kinds of things they come across during the day. Mother Bear always has an answer (at time a philosophical answer) and bear is satisfied at the end of the day. Good for toddlers/preschoolers who ask lots of questions. Good rhythm and rhyme.

Little Bear, while spending the day outside with Big Bear asks a multitude of questions, while Big Bear takes the time to answer them all. This rhyme filled book of Q&A will bring a smile to everyone's face as the Why's keep coming from Dawn to Dusk.

A great book for all curious bears. I have 2 and one that can't ask questions yet.
