When Steve's grandmother dies, one of the only things she leaves him with is her ornate music box. Mere days after bringing the box home and playing its music, Steve's life turns upside down. Nightmares plague him, footsteps echo in his apartment at night, voices sing from his living room only to go mute the moment he enters, and the music box mysteriously disappears and appears in different places.

Not for me I'm afraid!
A diabolical music box that plays a deadly tune - really? This, long winded, story just carried on regardless. True, it was a spooky psychological thriller that wove a thread of pure despair through the life of one unfortunate young man. A tragic life, dominated by an abusive and alcoholic father, turned this young man into a very messed up and self centred individual. One dead end job after another leads to constant financial problems and other perceived failings. Then, following the death of his beloved grandmother, a bequest comes his way. An antique music box, something that will change the course of his life forever and not in a good way.

This was such an easy read and was pretty much read in one sitting.
If you are not a fan of books with unhappy endings I do not recommend you read this - the ending could be quite frustrating for people who like everything to be just so.
Not as creepy as previous works (this could just be because of the UK heatwave) but this story is definitely one worth reading!
We have all heard of haunted houses.. but a haunted music box? It’s a must read!

It's a valuable antique which he finds there - an archaic music box. And so the mayhem begins when Steve gets torturous thoughts from the diabolic melody. What is the origin of the box? A frightening book which will give you nightmares as you read about Steve's torment and how he tries to get rid of the infernal antique which keeps coming back. A well constructed plot with well defined characters.

Steve inherited some things from his Grandmother. One is a music box after hearing it's song Steve starts hearing and seeing things. This music box has a past. Can Steve survive? Amazing characters chilling story.

Reading this story, I never EVER want a musical item because now I feel like I'll be in the same fate as the characters in this book. LoL. Great story and I really enjoyed it. I took my time with this one and I'm glad I did. Fantastic storyline. I highly recommend as I always do on reviews when it comes to this author. Please, go ahead and have a great read. You'll enjoy every single page.

Trapped me!
I couldn't stop reading! I have errands to run but just had to finish this story. So good with the twists and turns that it kept me guessing and that's why I couldn't put it down!
