She desperately needs a fiancé. So I'll pretend. How can I object to the gorgeous virgin who walks into my strip club? She thinks this is an escort service - and that I'm for hire. Damn is she in the wrong place.
We're nothing alike. Delilah is a family girl. Pure. Gentle. I'm an arrogant prick and I take what I want. Right now, I want her. She arouses parts of me I've had locked away for years. So, I'll play the role of a loving fiancé. Caress and kiss her in all the right ways. And when we're alone... I'll claim that sweet innocence. Make her mine. Feel her body tremble and beg for more.
I don't want it to end. And that was the last thing I expected. After all of this history she'll have more than just memories. I have a special gift in store for Delilah.
Fall in love with this deliciously sinful, kindle melting hot, and forbidden temptation. No cheating or cliffhanger - DUH!! All books in this series stand alone and do not have to be read in order.

Overall this book was pretty good. Not quite a 4 star but I’m rounding it up. This was a well paced sexy story with low angst. There was some decent family drama that got wrapped up a little too quickly, and I think it needed an update in the epilogue because we don’t really know what happened to her mother. This book will keep you entertained but it is a bit mismarketed with the blurb and title. She didn’t at any point think he was an escort and the title implies a daddy kink that was not present (thankfully). She’s not his ‘daddy’s girl’ and the baby isn’t born in the book so we never know it’s gender. Weird name but good book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ARC from BookSprout and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is part of a series but each story is a stand alone.
triggers: none unless you count the wicked mother
spoilers: Delilah, college student about to inherit money from her grandparents. She's worried her mom is going to demand some of the money so she and a friend come up with a wild plan.
Jacob, club owner. when Delilah and her friend come into his club with a business proposition he is intrigued.
Not a terrible read. Overall it's a safe story with a brief moment of suspense and violence. Her mother is a piece of work. The sisters seem bland but okay. Plenty of s3xy time.
Side note: Why does Delilah's co-worker and later Jacob and her sister refer to Delilah as Des? Delilah was a 20yr old virgin and her first time was in Jacob's office and then moving forward it's whenever Jacob wants it. (But apparently she's cool with that.) Also, what happened to the mom? She did something awful to Delilah but it's not addressed at the end.
Before I say anything else about the book, I want to address my biggest gripe.
The Editing
Specifically, the lack of editing.
Misspellings, missing punctuation, and obvious “find and replace” edits gone wrong. The FMC’s name, “Delilah,” is used in places that make no sense at all… leading me to believe that Delilah’s name was Dream until it was hastily changed late in the game. Besides that, the ending delivered no closure for the central conflict of the story, it feels unfinished. I have no idea how these issues were not caught by beta readers.
Yeah. Not good.
Were there any redeeming qualities?
Sure!
It’s a quick read with a naive FMC and a sexy MMC that thinks she’s the best ever. If you like age gaps, billionaires, oopsie-daisy-it’s-a-baby, fake fiancé, and family drama you’ll be a happy camper as long as your able to look past the major editing issues.
The spice was pretty hot too.
But damn, I was looking for a good palate cleanser and the lack of editing really ruined this one for me.
This was a decent story, it definitely could have been fleshed out more and could have used some polishing. The ending is unsatisfying and the whole book seems rushed. Editing is definitely lacking as "Delilah" is often used in place of what my best guess would be the word dream. Also, there is a spot near the end where a couple paragraphs are repeated. The title is definitely misleading as the story does not feature DD/lg or really anything that would point to Jacob being a "Daddy" other then Delilah being pregnant---in which case she doesn't give birth within the book and the gender of the baby is never revealed which calls into question the girl part of the title. If you like your books to have a succint conclusion I'd definitely skip this book.
While I like the story, and the writing was at the correct pace and allowed you to become interested in the characters. But I don’t know if it’s just my copy but every Time the word “dream“ was mentioned it was actually her name instead so she was talking about having a lovely Delilah instead of a lovely dream. lol. And the main antagonist of the story was never resolved, the mystery was figured out, but they were never dealt with after they figured out what was going on. It just seemed like the story just ended without being resolved. And when I signed up for the extra bonus chapter material. I never got it, so didn’t really get a closure on the book.
"Daddy's Girl: An Age Gap Surprise Pregnancy Romance" (Silver Fox Daddies Book 6) by K.C. Crowne was a great read. I enjoyed Delilah and Jacob's story. This story had romance, passion, humor, twists, surprise pregnancy, age gap, family, and more. This was a fantastic addition to this series. I hope we'll be seeing more of these characters in the future. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, age gap, surprise pregnancy, and series.
For a book titled Daddy’s Girl, I expected some kink but…..nope. Even the dirty talk was extremely mild. Personality was lacking for H and h. The Hero read like a blank canvas. Events were talked about but not shown Lots of time gaps Again…the few sex scenes that were there felt mechanical and lacked any emotion/intensity The mother drama was OTT and not believable. The resolution was just as ridiculous and lacked detail. HEA✅ Epilogue+
Delilah Kline, a beautiful, almost 21-year-old, honey blonde college student with sparkling blue eyes way good at juggling her commitments. As a senior, she was counting down the days to graduating from UCLA with a degree in biology, but she was also counting down the days to her 21st birthday. She wasn’t concerned about becoming “legal,” rather she was anticipating being able to access the money in the trust fund that her grandmother Helen had set up for each of the Kline grand-daughters including older sister Maryanne who had gained access to her trust fund 2 years earlier, and younger sister, Corrine, at 18, had 3 more years to wait. Delilah was looking forward to not running from class to her job at a coffee shop near campus.
But the most difficult experience that Delilah was currently confronting was her own mom who was pushing Delilah to allow mom, Naomi, and step-dad, Sam, to have some of the money to help them cover their financial excesses, most of which were the result of Naomi’s excesses. Her dad had died when Delilah was still a child and her grandparents had set up trust funds for the 3 fatherless sisters. Delilah’s teenage years had been filled with bad memories of mom coming home drunk from some Hollywood event with some man on her arm who would linger long after mom had passed out, eyeing her teenage daughters. Mom’s concern during those years had been accessing her daughter’s trust funds and entertaining her me.
Older sister Maryanne had been subject to mom’s pushiness when she gained access to her trust fund, but not with the ferocity that Naomi was currently directing at Delilah. Now, tired of fighting with her mom and afraid of giving end to gain peace, Delilah is becoming desperate.
So, when best friend since childhood, Laura, suggests that she has a plan to help Delilah evade her mom’s grasping ways, Delilah is more than happy to listen. Laura, has had the opportunity to visit one of LA’s hottest clubs, Cherry Lane, and was impressed by the men who helped club owner Jacob Nichols keep order.
So, the plan the girls hatch is to enter unnoticed and inquire if any of the male attendant would be willing to act as Delilah’s fiancé who could then become a barrier between the daughter and the grasping, greedy mom. But, before Delilah and Laura can even attempt to discuss the plan with any of the Cherry Lane male employees, the older, fit and handsome, green-eyed, dark-haired owner of the elite gentlemen’s club has noticed them and want to know what they are doing in a private, members-only establishment.
KC Crowne always provides an entertaining and engaging plot line filled with challenges and dangers that only an experienced daddy can solve.
I received the ARC for this older-man, younger-woman romance through Booksprout and purchased my copy for my Kindle.
Whew, this one is a sexy age-gap romance that puts an ex boxer, business owner silver fox with a complicated young woman. The resulting mix is pure steamy goodness! We start off meeting Delilah who is with her best friend, Laura, getting ready to go out and they're having a conversation about what's going on with Delilah. She is about to turn twenty-one which means she finally gets the trust fund set up for her and her sisters by her paternal grandparents. She's trying to come to terms with getting all of this wealth when just last week she had to overdraft her checking account just to be able to afford groceries. On top of that her mom is already hitting her up for some money. She's never had much of a relationship with her mom starting from when her dad died. Her mom would go out and come home drunk with a sleezeball of the week on her arm; this pattern continued throughout her life, with her mom constantly ignoring her and bed hopping across the LA metro area which left her penniless. She's now forty five with a new daughter and living with a businessman who owns a couple of dry cleaners, but she's still hitting up Delilah for some unforseen expenses she has. Currently she's using her newborn daughter to play on the sympathy card with Delilah who is looking for a way to not have to deal with this situation. Laura says that she has a great idea to get her out of having to deal with her mom hitting her up for money. She tells Delilah about this high end strip club she went to with this rich guy she was interested in. She said that this club was loaded with really rich powerful men and their entourages of bodyguards and security, all looking to make a name for themselves. That all Delilah had to do was offer one of them some money to pretend to be her fiance and that she tell her mom that he's a whiz with finances; he's going to handle her finances when it comes to her trust. Just imagine having a large intimidating guy with tattoos next to her who knows his way around an account book, her mom wouldn't have a leg to stand on when it came to trying to get her money. Delilah thinks about it for a little while and then breaks down and agrees to do it. They show up at the club and Laura couldn't remember how the guy she was with got them in, whether it was a secret knock or a password. While they were contemplating this the door, which had a small set of cherries illuminated with red neon light above it, clicked open allowing them entry. They enter and walk down a hall to another door that opens into a sprawling club that looks to be three stories tall. The walls on the lower level were lined with private booths around the perimeter and in the center was a massive dance floor which contained writhing bodies to the music provided by a DJ whose booth was tucked into the far end. Delilah looks around and sees nothing but rich guys and their muscle. Laura tells her to look around, pick someone that she thinks would work for her but before she can a huge hand lands on her shoulder. She turns around, comes face to face with a large muscular chest attached to security guard who informs her that someone would like to speak to her. She thinks that she and Laura have been found out that they're underage. Laura asks who and he tells her a member of the staff and proceeds to escort them to a secluded booth in the corner. They sit in the plush booth and wait for the person who summoned them to appear when Laura starts saying crazy things like it could be a super rich guy who would fly them to Dubai and make them be his live-in sex slaves for the month. Delilah says it's probably someone from security wanting to scare them for sneaking into the club underage. Laura says that'd be boring and Delilah says that they will be lucky if boring is the only thing that happens tonight. Then a deep, rich honeyed voice says that nothing boring ever happens at Cherry Lane. She turns around to discover the owner of the voice is the most handsome man she's ever seen. Laura asks if he works here and if so could he please bring them some drinks. He flags down a waitress and has her bring them some mineral water. Laura says that she'd have liked something a little stronger. He chuckles and says that under other circumstances he would've loved to have given something stronger but they are underage. Delilah asks him if he is security and he asks what made her ask that. She tells him the calluses on his hands, that those knuckles are the ones you find on someone who uses them alot. He tells her yes that security is part of his job. He then asks why are they there at Cherry Lane. Laura answers that they are there for fun. He is not amused by Laura's attitude, he tells that he is not one to BS with. Delilah realizes that he's absolutely perfect for the job she was there to fill and tells him that they were there to find someone like him. He's intrigued now and asks them to come to his office and explain this to him. He escorts them upstairs and when they enter it they're surprised by it's opulent decor and the three gold Olympic medals on display behind the desk. Delilah turns and asks him if this is his office and if those medals belong to him. He answers in the affirmative for both. Laura then asks if he's the boss of this place and he says yes that Cherry Lane is his. Delilah turns to him and says that he said he was in security. His second in command Archie, who followed them into the office says that he is, among other things. He offers them a seat and asks Delilah to tell him again why she was here for a man. Delilah says that it's a weird situation and that if he's interested she can tell him and that she's sure he wouldn't want to do it but maybe one of the guys who works for him will be interested to do it. Little does she know that Jacob Nichols, owner of Cherry Lane, is the one who buzzed them into the club because he saw her on the surveillance camera and thought she was the sexiest woman he had ever seen. So, of course he won't let anyone else take the job to help her out. He agrees to do this favor for her and she tells him that she'll need him on Sunday because that's the next family dinner. He gets her to put all of her information on the back of his business card and tells her he'll be in touch. Archie escorts them down and out of the club. He finishes that and goes back upstairs to ask his boss what that was all about since he certainly didn't need the money she was offering because he made over that amount in the time it took him the lead them out of the club. Jacob says that it's all about the girl. That she's got something no else has, she's innocent, he's going to take her and make her his. This is where I'll leave you and you'll have to get the book to find out what happens next. Let's just say that the steaminess ensues and boy does it!! It's an absolutely fantastic age-gap romance that will set your kindle on fire! The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts. This book is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys age-gap romances or even regular romances because it just checks off all the boxes for a wonderful romance. It has a very original storyline with fantastic characters with strong chemistry between them. It is totally swoon worthy and so worth adding to your romance collection. I mean you can never go wrong adding a K.C. Crowne book to your collection, they are all fantastic and I haven't encountered a bad one yet.

I feel like this book was written to meet a publishing objective that focused on quantity of books written vs quality of the content. The plot had potential, but ended up weak with shallow character development. Overall, it was rather boring. I ended up skimming most of the book.
Daddy's Girl, one of 14 books in the Silver Fox Daddies series, was about 20-year-old Delilah Kline, a college student, and 35-year-old Jacob Nichols, the owner of Cherry Lane strip club. Delilah's paternal grandparents had left her and her two sisters a trust fund that they would each inherit on their 21st birthdays. Her older sister, Maryann had already received hers, and her younger sister would be getting her trust fund two years after Delilah got hers. However, their mother, who was a known gold-digger and moved from man to man, was constantly demanding the two older siblings give their money to her and her new husband "to support their new baby sister, Lila". While Maryann had already said no, their mother was now determined to get Delilah's money. But all the sisters knew that if she caved to the demand, then it would only be a matter of time before the woman turned on her other two daughters to do so as well. Delilah's BFF Laura had an idea of how to keep her mother from winning. She said Delilah should get herself a fake fiance to help her keep her mother at bay for the few months leading up to her birthday, and then she'd be in the clear. So that's what she did. This was one of the better books in the series. It was full of angst, drama, intrigue, and even a touch of humor. There was a full gamut of emotions, enough to satisfy most fans of romance novels. The twists and turns were enjoyable to read and see them play out. The two main characters were well-developed and mature, and both made a lot of growth as the book progressed. It was a nice change to see two people working together rather than doing the push/pull that most main characters often go through. While there were plenty of grammatical errors in this story, they weren't so bad that they detracted from the flow of the book. Like its predecessors, it was overly long without really needing to be, but it wasn't as full of fluff as the others, thus making it more enjoyable. I do have to add that the title didn't fit the story at all. There was no DD/lg in the book, and neither of them had a child with other partners. Just because he was older, didn't put him in the "Silver Fox" category, especially if he was just 35...since she said he was only 10 1/2 years older than her. With that being said, I was able to give this book a full four-star rating.

Age Gap✅ Commanding, deliciously sinful & protective MMC ✅ Gentle & pure family orientated FMC ✅ Fake Engagement ✅ Pregnancy Trope ✅ Wicked greedy Mother ✅
As her 21st birthday edging closer, Delilah is set to inherit access to the trust fund her grandparents left her. As a young college student who works at a coffee shop the money should be something to look forward to. But her lazy gold digging mother is after it. Delilah goes along with a plan her best friend drawed up, to hire a fake fiance to act as a buffer. What better than to hire a bodyguard from the high end gentlemens’ club Cherry Lane. That’s when she meets the ex boxer, businessman and owner of Cherry Lane, Jacob. He wants her. So he volunteers to act as her fake fiance. It's supposed to be fake right? But Jacob has other plans. What happens when something fake and temporary turns real? Especially with Naomi (Delilah’s mother) upping her antics to get to her money.
A quick delectable read with a protective MMC and an independent, smart and kind FMC. The book has drama, spice/smut, a bit of humor, sweetness, and supportive characters. I enjoy how the female lead is not childish despite being young. Or that the male lead is not a whole or acts ridiculous when finding out about the pregnancy.
I do wish the bonus content was added to the book itself so that the ending didn’t feel so empty. I have the bonus content on what happened to Delilah’s mother and I feel that should’ve been added in before the epilogue to give the readers closure. Without it, it seems the book sorta dropped and left readers hanging. But overall it was a good read and I enjoyed it.

When you think about falling in love for the first time is there a way you envision it will happen? Do picture what that special someone will look like or how they will treat you? Have you ever thought of needing to use falling in love as a way to say no to your families desire for greed. Oh yes, I said saying no to one’s own greed. You see Delilah has exactly this problem. She is about to turn 21, at which point she will inherit a sizable amount of money her grandparents have left her. She also has a mother who has led a life as a spendthrift and has no scruples. Sometimes though when you are looking for one thing you find another and it can turn out to be what you really needed all along. Delilah and her friend Lauren were looking to solve her problem and Delilah met Jacob. Do you believe in fate, an instant connection? These two might not have seen it coming or the surprise but things have a way of working themselves out. Delilah’s mother has plans of thwarting things for her, but Delilah and Jacob are quickly falling for each other, and they have plans of their own. This is a great love story that is exciting and fun. You definitely will be holding on to the end to see how everything plays out. It is interesting to see the tricks some people are capable of. K C Crowne has done it again with another great book.

I lost interest towards the end. I really liked it at first but some of Jacob’s way of speech to the heroine seemed like he was ordering her around which I found it rude. I also disliked that the ending was rushed. What happened to the evil mother? Did Delilah know who caused her incident. Another thing I didn’t like was the fact that Delilah portrays herself as a strong independent woman but it doesn’t show. For example, she could’ve cut off the relationship with her mother but she did not. OR She could’ve avoided going to the gathering when she knew her mother was going to talk about money.
Moreover, the author seems as if she wants to show that Delilah is an angel who wants to form a charity and fund students right after she got the inheritance which seemed fake to me ( I know that she was going to wait until her investment grows before setting up the charity but that’s just impractical. Like she could’ve thought about her unborn child and set up a trust fund for it or smth even if the dad is rich)
Lastly I did not understand why Lila ended up in the care of the hero and heroine when she has a dad. Can’t the older sister of the heroine babysit Lila. There were many things that annoyed me especially the part where the author likes to repeat good Delilah, bad Delilah, like a Delilah. I felt like she was going to say dream but it was changed into Delilah. I get that connotations of names would seem beautiful but it’s not meaningful when it was used in this context.

Characters Delilah (Des?, De-De, mfc, 20) Jacob (mcm, Olympic medal winning boxer) Laura (mfc best friend) Archie ( Jacob's friend, employee)
Delilah's roommate Laura takes her to Jacob's club to find a fake fiance to help her handle the situation caused by her wretched mother. Delilah offers money to hire Jacob, and even though he agrees, that's not what he wants from her. She's got her hands full between school and work and fighting off her mother from taking her inheritance, yet he stirs such intense feelings of want in her. He is the first man to make her consider giving up her v-card. Her mother is a conniving, evil, witch of a woman though, and she will stop at almost nothing to get her hands on Delilah's money.
Points of contention Typos start in chapter 1 Not a "daddy" book, more age gap than daddy, and his real age is never given Casually mentioned someone was Irish mafia, but one doesn't simply leave the mafia The evil mother getting out of having to pay for what she did
I still really enjoyed the book. It felt a bit different from the other books I've read by this author, but by no means have I read them all. I'm working my way through them :)
Loved it!! K C Crowne does it again with the “age gap” romance series daddies!!!! I love each and every book she’s written, and this one is no exception!, in this one, you get two college aged young women friends trying to figure out a solution to one friends problem with her gold digging mother. Young Delilah is soon to turn 21, and receive a large inheritance from her paternal grandparents. Her mother will do anything it seems, but get a job and live within her means and stop her revolving boyfriend ways all of her and Delilah’s sisters life.
Delilah’s friend Laura talks her into going to LA’s exclusive high rollers only stripe club to look for a wealthy fiancée for higher to get her gold digging mother to leave her and her soon to be all hers inheritance alone. The guy who owns the club, Jacob, sees Delilah, and wants her all to himself. He sees her strength, her intelligence, her beauty, and her innocence. Through their pact, a friendship, and more grows. Soon, both want their pretend marriage to be not to end. I could not put it down, and can’t wait for extra epilogue chapters, or more books to come!!!!.

Delilah is turning twenty-one in three months and will be getting a substantial trust fund from her grandparents, and her mother is already campaigning how her current family needs its more than Delilah does for day to day survival. Delilah's friend, Laura convinces Delilah to go to Cherry Lane a high class Gentleman's Club in search of a bodyguard to pose as her fiance. They did not get in the door until the owner, Jacob Nichols spotted them. He knew Delilah is different than the normal women he deals with so he gets the full story from her upfront. He agreed to do the job himself, because he wanted her for himself. The plan is commenced, but they do not realize is her mother is practically an unstoppable force. It feels like there is unfinished storyline at the end leaving the reader hanging. It says it will be taken care of, this inquiring mind wants to know how. Other this book is one fantastic read of a very strong independent woman trying to live her best life meets an older man, whom has decided she is the woman of his dreams. They have to figure out how it is all going to work.

This is such a feel-good romance. It’s entertaining and passionate and there are warm moments and a genuine magical, slow growing love. I loved how the story developed and the characters grew in their feelings toward each other. Delilah and Jacob had an instant chemistry. It produced an easy, comfortable dialogue and they were ready to make their fake relationship work. I thought it was a very original story with a wonderful storyline, well written and great character development. Lovable characters, steamy, passionate chemistry. Yes, it starts out as a fake romance which slowly grows into an all consuming love. Jacob is somewhat the bad boy turned businessman. Delilah needs Jacob’s help with her mother who wants her trust fund money. Would a mother really take out a hit on her own daughter? When Jacob get’s involved with Delilah he finds his heart has been stolen. She is the woman for him and he will do anything to keep her safe and protected. You will fall in love with this couple. The story is filled with love!! I just really enjoyed the story and the characters so much. I can’t wait until the next book.

This wasn't what I was expecting. The male MC was waaaay different from what I was thinking he would be. The plot turned into something totally different than what the blurb was hinting. I'm not saying that was a bad thing. It was just...interesting. Jacob is this hot shot gentleman's club owner, and his reactions to things were puzzling to me. It ended up being a cute story--just not quite what I was thinking for his character. I guess people can surprise you.
We have a fake fiancé story with an evil, gold-digging mom attached to it. Delilah is about to come into money through her grandmother's trust when she turns twenty-one but needs help saying, "No," to her mother (I feel you, girl; I really do). She "hires" Jacob to play the part of a fiance, who will help her put her foot down, even though Jacob doesn't need the money. He's a successful club owner, but agrees to do it because he's enamored with Delilah. Family drama. Boinking. Basic plot line. Done.
The ending was, "eh." I was less than pleased. Wished that things had turned out differently for a particular character (). The author was a lot nicer than I would have been. lol
The club is exclusive to only the richest of the richest gentlemen. They get the arm candy and drinks, but they also get booted for life if they step out of line. Everything is recorded. All girls are protected. Jacob runs a tight and secretive business. His right hand man, Archie, sees some ladies walking up to the door. You can't get in without the password. Sometimes you can meet the love of your life.
Jacob got the wind knocked out of him when he met Delilah, a young beautiful lady that awoke something in him. He had to have her, but she was under 21 and so was her friend Laura when they snuck in. Delilah was smitten with Jacob. She was too busy for a relationship, but she couldn't forget about Jacob.
The call of the wild and getting pregnant was not what she thought about, but Jacob was more than ready and he didn't even know it. But all things get turned crazy when you have a psycho mother. It is called money and "mom" will not let her daughters go without some kind of compensation. Question is, can she break them down with quilt to get the money? Just wait to see what happens at Cherry Lane.

Jacob and Delilah’s story will leave you feeling very hot and bothered! She was innocent when she walked into his club, but he didn’t let that bother him at all. He agreed to her plan to thwart her mother’s machinations and manoeuvring, but had his own agenda all along. From their first meeting, Jacob and Delilah had white hot chemistry, an instant connection and something deeper neither was ready to put a name to just then. Alpha male Jacob soon found himself unable to stay away from her and staked his claim, leaving her with a souvenir of the occasion. Discovering Delilah was pregnant did nothing to stop his determined pursuit and their fake relationship became very real. Only her malicious mama was not happy and made plans to get what she wanted.
This book gives readers everything they need. A delightful romance, flirty banter, white hot chemistry, passionate interludes and a dose of intrigue and suspense. Add in a handsome, hot and protective hero and gorgeous, feisty and independent heroine and you get a book you just can’t put down. Delilah soon to be twenty one years old and having access to an extremely large inheritance from her grandparents, but her gold digging lazy mother seems to think that Delilah needs to share that inheritance so she can continue with her ridiculously frivolous lifestyle she is accustomed to. Delilah’s best friend has talked her into hiring a bodyguard from a strip club, Delilah agrees, they are able to get through check points with a little help from Jacob who Delilah ends up hiring to step in and portray himself as Delilah’s Fiancé and be her strong voice to her mother when she is pressuring for money, Delilah isn’t aware that she has hired the owner of the establishment. This whole game plan was put into play to keep her mother under control but neither Delilah or Jacob planned on real true feelings jumping into the mix and confusing things. I agree with others the ending left too much unfinished, unanswered business, too many things left open even though Delilah and Jacob did get their HEA, still a book absolutely without hesitating worth the read. Wow what an enjoyable book, I loved what was meant to be fake turns real and when the blood sucking mother try’s take your inheritance. Delilah needs a fake fiancé who knows how to protect her and her money against her spiteful and selfish mother and with the help of her best friend Laura the go to a high end club to look for the perfect man for the job. Jacob Nichols owns the high end Strip club Cherry Lane and when he sees two young woman trying to enter he’s club he lets them in because one of them is gorgeous and has quip his interest as to why they are there and when Delilah tells him why she is there and what she needs and he could of had one of his men help her but he didn’t want to share her with anyone and agrees to help her out. While working together they became real close and soon what was fake becomes real and things get hot and steamy and she falls pregnant. What happens now between our two main characters with a baby on the way do they have a future together and do they put her mother in her place once and for all.

Good book, title is misleading though... great premise, again. This is the second boom of KC Crowne's I have read and both were good until they weren't.
It really felt like it was fairly stagnat going over the same things over and over. But I thought, "Hey slow burn." And I like those so I kept with it because I enjoyed the characters.
So where did it fall flat? Let's start with Jacob...She definitely tried to make Jacob out to be a darker more brutal person than he was. Which didn't work at all. It added nothing to the story and wasn't needed. Jacob was a great character without any of that.
Then just when you are expecting that things are going to come to a head and you are going to get the resolutions and outcomes you have been hoping for through the second half of the book it just ends.
It ends with a couple of epilogues.. where the timelines seem a bit skewed. And then although you get the answers to wrap up the story it just falls flat leaving you hoping for more.
I wish more than anything the ending was a bit more built out. Other than that I really did enjoy it.
Delilah is getting close to the age of 21 and on her birthday she will get access to a trustfound that her grandparents on her dad side have made for her, but her mother wants nothing more than to get her hands on that money. So Laura (Delilah´s best friend) takes her to this club to see if they can hire someone to play her fiancé just for Delilah to have a backup against her mom, and at this club she stumbles upon Jacob the owner of the club. He agrees to help her out, but how long will the face engagement last when real feelings starts to appear?
This book was steamy at least on the start, but i felt like the steam kinda went down after the first scene between the two MC. And this wasn’t a “daddy” book as the title kinda says, its pure age gap, tho we never get to know the real age of Jacob. But to be said I didn’t mind it. And the mother never gets a punishment for what she did to her daughter.
It was overall a good read and im happy i did read it. Even if its not one of my favorites i still think its a book worth checking out, specially if you wanna try to check out age gap and some spice
Delilah is about to become 21 when she will have access to the trust her grandparents set up, however, she has to deal with her mother asking for money. Her friend suggests she hire a bodyguard to pretend to be engaged to her to scare off her mother. Delilah agrees and they head to a local club her friend Laura knows about, but the owner of the club, Jacob notices them and is attracted to Delilah. He knows that she is under age for the club, but his interest in her allows them entry. Delilah ends up hiring Jacob to help her out, but Jacob is not interested in the money that she offers, he is more interested in getting to know Delilah better.
Their ruse works, even though her mother is determined to get Jacob away from Delilah, but when Delilah gets pregnant their fake relationship turns into something real fast. Can their new relationship survive her mother's meddling.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

I loved Delilha & Jacob's story I was hooked & read almost with a smile all the way through. She was a strong woman determined to make her mother Naomi see that she was never going to get her hands on any of her trust fund but she needed a extra little bit of something to back her up so when her friend Laura suggested a fake fiancé she agreed. Going to the night club Cherry Lane to find herself a fake fiancé turned out easier than expected when the owner himself Jacob agreed to be that man so made arrangements for him to go to her mother's house for their weekly dinner shocking Naomi. Almost immediately the sexual chemistry between them couldn't be denied & they started to feel comfortable with each other but both of them were afraid to tell the other how strong these feels were. Niaomi was not taking no for an answer & was going anything to get that money from Deililha. Thus story was sweet, caring, steamy, funny with wonderful characters... well apart from the conniving Niaomi.
