Wow, such an enjoyable happening story!!! Just as I finished the last page I wanted to start reading it once again. It will definitely leave you with a major book hangover.
It made me laugh out loud with harmless banter as well as tears flooded my eyes with so much love and emotions. It is a debut novel of an indie author and I can’t wait to read more of her work.
‘Darling, Can We Start Over?’ is a romantic comedy, which revolves around Sarah and Ethan. The story will get you hooked from the very first line!
Sarah is a 27 years old, resident doctor who is getting married in a resort in Hawaii to her boyfriend of two years-'Lucas Romano’. But as the vows were getting exchanged at the altar a fire broke out and the venue breaks into chaos. But before passing out she sees the face of her first love ‘Ethan Stanton’.
Ethan is a 28 years old billionaire, who is the sole heir of a vast hospitality business. But his life is not so happening because he is engrossed with his work and still searching for the girl who vanished nine years ago to gain her forgiveness.
The story revolves around Ethan pursuing Sarah for her love and forgiveness for something he did nine years ago. The present and past chapters are very well placed. Just when you will start rooting for Ethan, his past mistakes will be unfolded and you will start empathizing with Sarah. The side characters are also very bubbly and relatable and add a nice, funny pace to the story.

This was an angsty but sweet second chance romance, and I enjoyed this book a lot. It's a self-published, debut novel and the book surprised me with its fairly easy-to-follow writing and the chemistry between the characters. I am also a sucker for second-chance romances so this one was right up my alley.
But now onto the not so good parts of this book. The writing at times felt fake deep and almost text-bookish. At some parts, the editing wasn't done properly and there were a lot of grammatical and spelling error.
It's a self published book and i kind of expected those errors.

It was warm, funny and emotional. Keep some tissues handy💗
Sarah Walter, a perfectionist at managing her schedule and studies falls in love with Ethan Staton. Ethan is a guy, every girl would like to date for his looks and status. When he chooses Sarah over others, everyone in the college envy Sarah. They call her names, play pranks on her and don't leave any stone unturned when it comes to causing pain to Sarah.
Sarah is getting married to her boyfriend but he isn't Ethan. On her wedding day, an accident occurs which burns the place and wedding gets called off for the moment.
Ethan enters the scene and Sarah can see everything that happened with her Nine years back. It was ground shaking to see Ethan after so long. This was so funny, raw, perfect, relatable, and delicious book which I have read in the recent times. I loved reading about how far Ethan goes to win Sarah's trust. I loved Ethan's character. It was perfectly built.
The author has focused deeply on details. Everything has been given adequate attention and the author has a knack to write unputdownable rom-coms. Only the font size of the book is too small which hindered the reading speed. Over all, it's an amazing book.

It was a beautiful read with heartbreak, with some laughs and with lots of cute moments!
The author's writing is beautiful and very very easy to get into. And the switch between the past and present gives a clear insight about how much both the characters, i.e. Sarah and Ethan have grown.
I absolutely love the way Ethan tries to woo Sarah again and in doing so he grows into a more mature man. The way Ethan interacts with others and especially with his Nanna is just so so beautiful to read. I wish Sarah would have met her!
Sarah. She's amazing. She's stubborn, a hardworking women who knows her worth and who won't accept anything less than perfect!

That's the question this book answers for our protagonist Sarah.
She is intelligent, beautiful, hardworking and yes strong minded.
But still she gave her heart to Ethan, the high school football team caption and they were high school sweethearts until he broke her heart. For him love always comes last.
It's been years now she has Lucas now. But suddenly life brings in a twist. Ethan is here. And he seems to have changed. He tries his best to woo her. What's happening afterall ?
Will Sarah be able to go past her pain , erase her doubts and give in and settle with him once more leaving Lucas or realise what's the true essence of love ? What will life teach her and how will the three find their heart's home in the end ?
It's an entertaining story with romantic moments and some self realisation on the part of the characters.
A contemporary story for young adults that is going to realise very soon. I think romance lovers will like this story book.

On Sarah’s wedding day, the marriage hall is burnt down and the wedding is postponed for 45 days.
Now the book takes us on the journey of Sarah whose destiny was bound to change within those 45 days.The main attraction of the story is that she comes across her ex - Ethan on the day of her wedding tragedy.
Ethan is hell bent on getting Sarah back into his life but will Sarah again fall into his trap or she’ll manage to choose a better path?
Since this is the debut book of @authormonikameena I appreciate her efforts. I enjoyed reading the book but the page count could have been shortened by deleting some unnecessary details. At some point I felt as if the story was dragged which was quite boring for me.
Though I liked the characters, specially Ashley, Sarah’s Bestfriend - She was savage af and the way she protected Sarah has my heart. Overall the book is a good read for me. And the story is a fairy tale romance which would be loved by the romance lovers.

Sarah Walter and Ethan Staton two souls in love with each other but not now anymore at least they think so, especially Sarah. She is getting married and moving forward from all the past that left her life upside down. While Ethan knows he is still in very much love with Sarah and he can’t forgive himself for what happened with Sarah Nine years ago. Nine years, is a long time to forget, to forgive, to move on. But does any of it happened in case of Ethan or Sarah? Or fate has something else in store for them? What happens when they meet after 9 years? Will Sarah be able to forgive Ethan and move on? Will Ethan be able to get Sarah’s forgiveness? Or they will fall for each other again? Is that all so easy to overcome? Is love so easy ?
This story is all about second chances in love and how you try to make things right. Definitely, all the things you will not be making right, you will be doing stupid things you will be making mistakes. That is the one thing that have beautifully worked for me.
This novel gives you an experience a perfect blend of raw emotions, sadness-anger-betrayal-love-anguish, almost blancing the fulcrum. The story strikes the right chord with the readers with it’s wittiness, relatability.
Sometimes the larger than life moments doesn’t work for me. But that doesn’t mean it will be the same for every reader. It may have gone little down side for me mostly because I am not that much into romance novels.
Readers go for it, it will definitely get you closer to believe in second chances if not making you believe in second chances completely.

Ethan is an arogant, self absorbed, way over in his head hot shot sexy billionaire. But he is suffering because he can't find the girl he has been searching for 9 years the girl whose heart he broke back in high school.
Sarah is a very strong ambitious character both mentally and emotionally. She is independent and likes to take control of her life from every angle. She has recovered herself from all the bruises of her past.
But when these two meet again after 9 years Ethan thinks he will win her over with a snap of his fingers but he is wrong. Sarah is not interested in his charm anymore.
The story is written in dual POV in two time lines. Past chapters are so strategically placed in between the present one's that as soon as I started liking Ethan I hated him again for something he did in the past. And when I hated him in the present the vulnerability of his past is revealed and I loved him again.
Ashley is Sarah's best friend and plays a very important part in the story. Also there are some amazing laugh out loud scenes and some heart clenching scenes that made me shed a year or two.
The only thing I didn't like and cut .25 points is that the book was quite lengthy. Specially the first half. Took an effort to complete the first half but after that it was a smooth happy ride till the end.
All in all being a debut book of an indie author... Monika Meena has outdone herself. Do read this book 💙

What a beautifully written contemporary romance novel! The plot is great and the characters are even better. It navigates multiple povs and different timelines seamlessly. The writing is easy to get into, funny and wholesome. Can't wait to read more stories by this author.

"Darling Can We Start Over?" is a book about second chances in love. And not just love it has humour, jealousy and friendship too.
Sarah and Ethan were madly in love with each other in their school days, but a certain turn of events made them part their ways. But love never ends, does it? Nine years later, When Sarah has finally decided to embark on a new journey, Ethan has other plans.
The story is narrated in various POVs that makes it more interesting and understandable. You get a insight of what's going on each character's life and you try to connect with them on a deeper ground.
We switch back and forth to what happened 9yrs ago and the present day. The way the past is unfolded is really well thought, it happens slowly giving you time to feel every emotion.
Ethan is introduced in the book as a rich yet sweet boy who shares a very cute relationship with his nanna. But gradually, I kind of did not find him very likable, he came out a bit as annoying to me.
I have to say that Monika Meena has a very stylish way of writing. Not just all the expressions but also the slangs are perfect and apt, they do not seem fake, and that is one thing I highly appreciate.
Another best thing about the book was Sarah's best friend Ashley, she was there for her in every situation, be it in a highschool or helping Sarah realise what she truly wanted, she never backed down.
Honestly, I am not anything like Sarah so I did question her choice at times, but the fact is, being someone who sees fictional characters as her friends, I am really glad that Sarah chose happiness and love. And even though I might have not made the same decision if I were in her shoes, I understand her. So hats off to Monika for writing such a character.
If you are a fan of true love, second chances in love and having just 'the one' , this should be on your tbr.

Sarah and Ethan were madly in love with each other in their school days, but a certain turn of events made them part their ways. But love never ends, does it? Nine years later, When Sarah has finally decided to embark on a new journey, Ethan has other plans.
The story is narrated in various POVs that makes it more interesting and understandable. You get a insight of what's going on each character's life and you try to connect with them on a deeper ground.
We switch back and forth to what happened 9yrs ago and the present day. The way the past is unfolded is really well thought, it happens slowly giving you time to feel every emotion.
Ethan is introduced in the book as a rich yet sweet boy who shares a very cute relationship with his nanna. But gradually, I kind of did not find him very likable, he came out a bit as annoying to me.
I have to say that Monika Meena has a very stylish way of writing. Not just all the expressions but also the slangs are perfect and apt, they do not seem fake, and that is one thing I highly appreciate.

This book can be best described as a box of chocolates. It is super sweet and made my heart happy. 'Darling, Can We Start Over?' is a rom-com that revolves around lovers turned enemies, Sarah and Ethan.
It is a second-chance romance with dual PoV and well-built characters. Sarah and Ethan were high school lovers who turned enemies after a tragedy. However, they did meet years later when fate once again brought them together. This time at Sarah's wedding with Lucas.
A tragedy pushed them apart and years later a tragedy only brought them in front of each other. Only this time all Sarah had for Ethan was hate. Will love again blossom between them? Will Sarah forgive Ethan? Will she give him a second chance?
I loved the author's lucid and vivid writing! It's always amazing to read about strong female characters. Sarah, who pursued her dream and became a resident doctor even after the horrible tragedy that got her into ICU, was inspiring. I loved how her parents, friends, and relatives supported her emotionally when she needed it the most! I loved how she dealt with bullying in school! I loved how she was hell-bent on making a name for herself! I also loved Ashley, who was always there with Sarah, supporting and cheering her.
Of course, none of the characters are perfect and their decisions might seem questionable to you at times, but how else would you have drama?! And what good is a rom-com without a little bit of drama?! I enjoyed reading it and went through a roller coaster of emotions while reading it!

Darling Can We Start Over is a contemporary romance novel by Monika Meena. This is an ARC review so please keep in mind that there may be differences between this version and the final version that comes out in August.
This story is your typical second chance romance novel and while they do have a few reservations about the story, for a debut novel I thought it was a great job by the author.
The plot is a simplistic one but nevertheless it's still entertaining as we try to figure out who Sarah picks, a typical love triangle situation.
I like Sarah because she's brave and strong while having a soft presence about her that makes her likable and approachable. But I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of Ethan. As much as I wanted to like him as their story progressed I found myself disliking him a lot more because there were too many red flags for me to ignore. The main one being his attitude towards Sarah when she tells him to stay away. It irked me and that stayed with me throughout the book. He dies have some redeeming factors but not enough for me to care.
But the scene stealer was definitely Sarah's BFF Ashley who's always there for her.
The writing has it's plus points because even though I'm not a fan of Ethan, the author managed to create these moments of beauty between the characters that had me swooning. While the editing of the book does require a bit of work at this stage, her overall writing style is captivating.
Overall, it's a good job but I can see the final issue being a lot better with a little bit more work.

Everything is going according to the plan until she comes face to face with Ethan, the guy she couldn't forget. Ethan has hurt Sarah and lost her once, now that he has found her, he will do everything to start over. What is Sarah and Ethan's story? Will she give him a second chance?
This book is the definition of cute and fun that will worm its way into your heart. The characters are lovable, flawed and relatable, especially the friendships in the book that are truly enjoyable. Many instances in the book brought a smile to my face whereas other pages were dragged on with monologues that were difficult to follow through. This is a debut book of the author which makes it very special but it is a hefty read with over 400 pages. Saying so, I did find the emotional component too explanatory in the book. Each thought that the main characters had was paraphrased multiple ways, which can be tedious to read. Something to note is that I have an ARC and many of these points are resolved already.
So go in this book, if you enjoy reading romance books. It has many entertaining tropes and the setting is truly beautiful.

There are a lot of things I loved about this book. Starting from its cover, its characters, the plot line, and the twists were all very fun and kept me engaged and excited. I really enjoyed reading this book and recommended it to every reader who is into this genre.

Such a big book! But I loved it !
Could imagine a blue eyed Ethan and a Sarah in real for sure but the book hooks you up. I loved the switch between past and present and how the author has unveiled everything to us slowly. The epilogue is so funny!

▶ And the second thing, when I was reading the backstory of Sarah and Ethan, it was more like "After Series" where Hardin plays a bet same as Ethan does too, and I didn't like it that Sarah blamed everything that happened to her is Ethan's Fault, how that should be? When he asked her to be his girlfriend, she knows that he is a playboy and famous for playing with girls, she didn't even think twice before she said Yes to him.
▶And, when Ethan has 54days to prove that he is sorry and all.The author explained every day in the book like continually,like day 1, and day 2. I think that is too much of the story and I went dry. It's not that emotional at all. Okay to read a good sod good but too much store.

Congratulations to the author for releasing her debut novel! I can see that Monika put her heart and soul into this book and I highly appreciate her efforts. It’s a cute, simple plot that started with teenage love.
As much as I wanted to love this book. I didn’t. The book was not for me. I believe I’m not part of the target audience. I personally found the main characters’ personalities lacking and undeveloped. For example, Ethan (MMC) throughout the book he claims that he changed and try to prove it but I didn’t really see his character changing. Both Sarah and Ethan's characters are 27 years old but they act like they are still in high school. I’m aware
It’s a romantic comedy but since they are mature adults I wanted see them act like one.
The writing style of the book was simple and easy to follow but it would’ve been better if the book was less descriptive in emotional aspect.

A few weeks ago I completed this book and I fall in love with it. I really really loved it's characters. Ethan and Sarah have my heart. I really love both of them. Especially Sarah. After what happened with her, I really loved how she managed to become a great doctor and also started standing for herself. I also love her best friend Ashley. We all need one Ashley in our lives. I also really like Ethan character and his grovelling is just lit. I love the character development of his character and I also feel very bad for him at the same time. Overall, the book was totally worth it and I really enjoy reading it. Can't wait to read author's next book.

What a beautifully written contemporary romance novel!
The plot is great and the characters are even better. The character development is really good. It navigates multiple povs and different timelines seamlessly. The writing is easy to get into, funny and wholesome. Can't wait to read more stories by this author.

Darling can we start over is a romcom that is about a second chance romance. I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I have never read a romance with this theme before so definitely it was new and exciting. It's surprising that this is the author's debut work.
Sarah Walter is finally getting married to the perfect guy but everything goes wrong as there is fire breakout in the ceremony. Not only her wedding is ruined but now Ethan, her boyfriend in high school who broke her heart and devasted her is back and is trying to win her heart.
To me the plot was unique and I also felt there was not excessive cringey and cheesy stuff which I usually like to avoid. I liked the twists and turns in the book and towards the end it was really emotional. The ending was a quirky one and very different from usual romances.
I like Sarah and Ethan's banter and both their characters were written well. Each had their ups and downs. Also I liked Ash, she was such a great friend and a strong supporting character.
I feel that this book will be enjoyed by all romance lovers. Fans of this genre most definitely must read this book.

The plot starts with the destination wedding of Sarah Walter (26y/0, Resident Doctor at a reputed hospital, has her own apartment) to Lucas Romano (her boyfriend of two years, a lawyer, working on a high profile case which can make him a partner in his law firm). She has a loving family, a best friend always looking for the best for her, a cute golden retriever (Finn my cutieeeee) and she also got into her dream college after graduating from high school! Life seems perfect for her, no? But..... She isn't happy, she says that she isn't living, just existing..... Is marrying Lucas just coz that seems to be the right thing to do..... All because, her heart, hope, trust, everything was broken by her ex-boyfriend : Ethan Stanton, whom she loved with all her heart. 9 years have passed and Sarah has tried to move on from her broken past, but, has she?
Ethan is back in her life and is claiming to have changed for a better person now, but, has he?
At first, it took me some time to get familiarised with the way the characters speak to each other, but once I overcame that, I fell in love with the beautiful writing style of the author. The plot made me feel like I was reading a webtoon! (which I absolutely love). The scenes were coming alive in my mind easily!
