Rate this book
When a docent at Mt. Vernon is brutally executed by hired mercenaries searching for a mysterious book written by George Washington, a secretive government agency asks archeologist Nick Randall to investigate. Randall and his son John not only discover the book, but a relic tied to a conspiracy involving President Washington and Benjamin Franklin. Their discoveries lead to a startling revelation of how the United States won its independence.

But Randall and John aren’t the only ones searching. Former Spetsnaz agent turned mercenary, Vasily Aminov, wants the relic and is bent on using its power to destroy the governments of Western Civilization, killing millions of innocent people in the process. Randall and John must battle Aminov and prevent him from starting World War III as the fate of the free world hangs in the balance.

An action-adventure rollercoaster ride for fans of Clive Cussler and Dan Brown.
An exciting mix of geopolitical thriller and National Treasure-style archaeological mystery with a plot that shoots from adventure to espionage picking up a healthy dose of sci-fi along the way. Robert Rapoza's love for American history really shines through, as does his ability to keep his readers guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and as someone who has not read any of the previous titles in the Nick Randall series, I'm really looking forward to checking them out.

Outstanding

I love archeological terror or mystery.. This main character, Randall, sure lives an exciting life. There is so much going on with a device he found and learned to operate it. So very intense, it speeds my heart rate. Love this book. Ordered the next one too. Coming i

do not waste your money

Believe it or not this review gives me no pleasure but i feel i have no choice but to put my opinion in writing
In brief this book is at best mundane characters are weak timelines implausible but worst of all it is unoriginal. The plot is similar to dozens of others to the point I am wondering if its one author churning these out based in a generic plot line just changing names please do bother with this book
I also have to ask Amazon who checks the reviews because this is nothing like it’s supposedreviews

3.5 stars. I received a review copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. An enjoyable fast paced read in the line of Rollins and Berry. It was filled with some interesting history, some great action, and although a little predictable it left me interested in reading more of Nick Randall’s adventures. I recommend it.
