Over 25% the book she’s terrified of him, other half is sex, sex and more sex. Tiny bit of danger.
When one of Reapers men has a sinus infection, he drags him to the doctors, and sees Cheyenne. He’s instantly attracted to her, but she’s terrified of him. She spends the next 25% hiding from him, pulling a gun on him, (I kid you not!) dragging her friend Alisse round with her away from the scary bikers. When she finally plucks up the courage to go to a family day at the compound, she sees someone there that terrifies her. Convinced that she’s been trapped, she drags Alisse through the forest in the dark, to go on the run with her. When Reaper finally catches up with her, she’s terrified and FINALLY tells him why she’s so scared of bikers.
Cheyenne does have reason to be terrified, but I’m sorry it got annoying. It seemed to drag on and on. Then when she finally believes that he’s a good guy, they have rampant sex all the time, everywhere. The danger never really comes to anything, and was boring. Sex scenes were okay until it got monotonous.
The writing just wasn’t great. Half the plot was unrealistic. Both her and Alisse can just take time off from being nurses as they’re in danger. The doctor understands as she grew up in an Mc club. Oh well that’s okay then???? Cheyenne as a nurse is so shocked after having unprotected sex that she could be pregnant. So she was never taught about contraception???
MASSIVE ERROR. You can’t have anal sex without loads and loads of preparation. He just shoved it in!! It’s so dangerous, she could have been seriously injured. And yes I know it’s only a book. But I believe that the author has a huge responsibility to make sure it’s written about correctly!!! And this wasn’t. She does the same thing in another book. DO SOME RESEARCH ON IT!!!
Having said all that. I did enjoy most of it. Reaper was lovely with her, and the club really welcomed her. Considering how she behaved towards them at first.
