Sweet collection of stories, poems, hymns and culminates with the Bible story of the birth of Christ. Lovely illustrations throughout. Mine was a discarded book with missing cover I found at the thrift store. Plan to use for my December Journal decorating.

I found the stories quite boring and the wording confusing (it is 80 years old, I suppose people spoke and wrote differently). My 4yo didn't enjoy them at all.

Picked this up from the friends of library--a printing from 20 years ago. Doesn't seem that long, but still back when you could include stories about the actual birth of Christ in a children's Christmas treasury published by a major publishing co. This is SO rare these days. Luckily there are plenty of other publishers who are able to print religious books now. Technology has certainly helped with the costs of printing/publishing!

Ok..that was more of a rant the a review. ;)

When I was a kid I adored this book. It is filled with stories, carols, and poems. The carols were always my favorite.
