Fated Mates #2

Unbelievable Faith

Rate this book
Fate can be cruel.

Luna DeLuca has lost everything except for her faith in herself. Kidnapped, tortured and threatened by a male that’s already killed half her family, she knows the only way to save the other half is by offering herself up to him. To save her sisters, she’s willing to do anything, even accept a claim from a male that isn’t her mate, a mark on her soul that will ruin her forever. But if this is what her family needs, what her pack needs, she’ll do it to save them all.

Fate can be twisted.

Michael Hudson thought his mission to save the neighboring Crescent pack was about helping out a friend. He thought it was about avenging an attack on his own. But the second he sets his eyes on the beautiful girl locked away in a dank basement he knows she’s why he was put on the face of this planet. She’s the reason he’s here. She’s everything. She’s his. His mate. His fate. His future. Only, she bears the scent of another and is nothing like what he imagined his fated mate to be.

But fate can also be kind.

As brave as she is, Luna’s wolf is submissive and submissive wolves aren’t meant to lead packs. They aren’t meant to be Queens. She knows that. So does Michael. But when he refuses to give up on her, refuses to walk away or back down, she begins to see why fate put them together. She softens him and he strengthens her and maybe, just maybe, if they believe in fate enough they can find their way to forever.

This kind of book is the reason I read PNR!!! Nothing better than a story full of growly werewolves. Yum!

Fated mates, Alpha werewolves, action packed and fantastic supporting characters - this story had it all.

We met Michael and Luna in book one & we get their love story this time. Oh what a love story!! I adored Luna - the submissive wolf who had to find her place. Michael was the perfect fated partner - loving her exactly the way she was. I also loved catching up with Zoey & Rafe - add in the side story of Leo & Darius and I was a very happy girl. I really hope this author gives us more stories in this world. Definitely recommend to my PNR Book friends.

I received an arc of this book.

I finished and immediately wanted to read more.

I quite enjoyed every step of this book from the fated meet to the mating. ::wink wink::
Jess Bryant does it again, and makes me fall in love with her characters. She created this family that proves that even though you're not blood - you matter.

Michael and Luna's love was amazingly strong and what every one likely wishes for. He's the alpha and she's his mate, simple as that - right?

Pick up this goodie and you won't be sorry.

I legit could not put this book down. Something about Luna was completely captivating. This whole storyline is gripping and believable and romantic. I love that a beta is fated to an alpha yet she still holds her own because she loves Michael. I cannot wait for more and I really hope Ms. Bryant keeps this universe going because it is filled with too many potential amazing storylines and characters. I highly recommend this duet, but Michael and Luna are my new faves.

There’s no info if this book follows the same writing as the 1st. Endless monologues, repetitiveness, telling not showing etc. BOREDOM galore for pn books. Reviews for this book are the generic kind.
Passing. Can’t endure fate, mate, bond a million times again.

5 Stars!!!!!

After reading book one, I could not wait to get my hands on Michael and Luna's story! I loved the first book so much and book two was even better. If that is even possible! Jess Bryant is an amazingly talented author. I have loved everything I have read by her so far! The fated Mates duet is her first dive into the world of paranormal, specifically wolf shifters. I love shifter romances and have read many. So I can say with confidence that Jess Bryant is the author of two of my all time favorites. Yeah, I know...I'll tone down the fan-girling, lol.

So we meet Michael in book one, Unbreakable Bond. That book was incredible, just saying. Michael is alpha to his pack. His brother, Rafe has returned from wandering for four years. Rafe finds his mate in Michael's best friend Zoey. But Michael is not far off from finding his own mate.

And thank God he does! There are a lot of characters in these two books. There is a lot going on in the plot as well. I am not going to say anything that will spoil this book for you. Though I will tell you that when Luna and Michael meet for the first time, it's not a minute too soon. He saves her. And from that moment forward, Michael will not let Luna go. The heat, chemistry and tension between Luna and Michael was palpable. It was intense and I felt it all. Damn this book was hot! Those two together were sinful but at the same time I found them adorable.

Michael Hudson is a total book boyfriend!

As I mentioned there is a lot going on. All the feel are present. Another aspect present for me was surprise. I didn't see a few things coming and that fact only added to my enjoyment. By the way, Jess, I love where you went with Darius. That was so perfect! I wish there was more on that.

If I have any disappointment with this book, It's that it ended all too soon. Luckily, the author has more planned for us with the Crescent Wolves in the future. I can't wait!

If you are looking for a fast-paced, intense read within the paranormal genre, I highly recommend this duet. If you are new to paranormal, I highly recommend you give these books a try. You won't be sorry.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

An absolutely wonderful conclusion to the Fated Mates Duet! The writer has yet again taken the PNR genre by storm and what an impression she's made!

The story was very well balanced, with a bit more suspense than book one and it fit SO. WELL. The steam was off the charts in the best way.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention how fantastic the writing was. From the descriptions, to the flow, to the third person, to the dual POV the writer absolutely NAILED it. I felt like I was watching a movie at some points!!!

I absolutely recommend this fantastic story!!!

This was a good conclusion to this series. Seeing the bad guys get what was coming to them and seeing fate bring love to Michael as well.
Michael was a super alpha, but still so caring and willing to give up so much to have Luna by his side.
Luna's story was a journey of being saved, finding love, and also realizing who she was meant to be all along.
I loved getting to know Luna's sisters and seeing more into Leo's life.
Good amount of action and sexy times.
Cute epilogue and a look five years down the line.
Can't wait for the cresent pack book.

Wow, lots of adventure and suspense in Michael and Luna's love story. Of course, there's also plenty of steam and sass, and even a few laughs. It's everything I've come to expect from this author's shifter romance (and pretty much everything else she writes).

While each book in the Fated Mates duet is about a different couple, they work best in order. Start with Unbreakable Bond and enjoy all the spicy, wolf-y goodness!

A fantastic end to the duet, I’m so excited that Michael got his HEA. My heart broke a bit for him as he had to watch his best friend and brother mate, so when he found his mate, I was super excited. I really enjoyed this fast paced, action packed read. Can’t wait to read more about the Crescent wolves in the future!

Her wolf may be submissive but maybe, just maybe, if they believe in fate enough they can find their way to forever.

The characters in this duet are strong, compelling and the author portrays them in such a way that readers can’t take their eyes off them, and in the second half of this duet Luna and Michael captures readers hearts right off the bat. While they meet under horrible circumstances, their relationship is all about hope and Michael is everything an alpha male should be when it comes to taking care of his mate. Lots of chemistry, passion and emotional turmoil stirs up matching emotions in the readers.

This story can be read as a standalone, but it is infinitely better read back to back. The plot is faced paced and full of suspense and excitement that keeps the readers glued to the pages with some surprising twists that shake things up. Danger and craziness are added to the story from a hidden threat that brings about a startling twist that wows readers with a wonderfully exhilarating but sweet romances where readers have to agree that fate does get some things right.

After meeting Michael in Unbreakable Bond, I hoped he would get his own story. And what an incredible story it is! He is the pack leader who thought he was in love once, but he never really knew it until he meets Luna. She blows him away with her beauty and with both being shifters, she must be the one for him. But there is something he doesn’t know about her that could change all that. Can she be his true Queen? Will he be able to get past her secret?

As with the first book, I was instantly hooked from the very first sentence. This story made my heart burst and my soul sing. Michael may be the Alpha, but he does have a tender side to himself as well. As for Luna, you can’t help but fall in love with her. I loved everything about this book and hope this authors writes more about the other characters we were introduced to. Just brilliant!

great read

This the second time I’ve read this book. It’s so good! Just what you want from a shifter romance. Possessive male, spicy scenes and a feisty female, all mixed in with a story which grips you and has you cheering on the main characters.

100% recommend this series!

I dove straight into the story after finishing Unbreakable Bond.
Jess Bryant sucked me into Moirea pack and refused to let me go.
I absolutely loved everything about Michael and Luna and was so happy to see him finally get a mate he deserved.
We first read about Michael in Zoey and Rafe’s book as the protective best friend/pack alpha. We hear little snippets about Luna, as well. But, not until the epilogue do we see what she’s enduring and who her mate is.
Ding, ding, ding... it’s Michael! Lol
Jess Bryant can do love. HOLY SHIT!
I just wanted to sandwich myself in between Michael and Luna and have him fix me all up with his sweet and understanding ways.
And, how about those steamy scenes?? **fans self**
BOY! Where is my alpha wolf. I must look into becoming a part of that mating ritual.
This book definitely took us on quite a ride. More action, drama, suspense, adventure than the first book and that warranted an extra star! I loved it!
So happy I stumbled upon this paranormal duet.

I need more information on Maya and that MAJOR ENDING!! Fuck! Aaaahhhhmazing!

Luna & Michael's story was the perfect conclusion to The Fated Mates Duet... this action packed, steamy read had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't have loved Luna & Michael's story more❣️
There were so many aspects to this story that I loved..from the amazing chemistry to the fantastic secondary characters that I simply did not want this book to end.

Michael and Luna have both had to overcome great loss in their lives and fight for their families & their packs; both having to put absolute faith into fate and what it has in store for them. Luna is a submissive wolf but certainly not a weak wolf; she will fight and sacrifice for the people she loves. She just doesn't know where she fits...when Michael finds her the missing pieces finally come together. Michael's love for her is undeniable and so swoon worthy 😍 Two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together in fates plan; their connection making them stronger.

I loved this book so much and highly recommend this fabulous PNR read to any and everyone💋

Unbelievably similar to hundreds of other books.
Lacking a plot that grips you and makes you keep reading.
I read this as I had read book one and wanted to know what happens.
Really not surprising that it was too simple a plot and so formulaic you knew what was going to happen before it did.
Found it amusing that there is all this talk from Michael about waiting forever for his mate, that he should have found her earlier, etc.
If you do the math, he became Alpha at 18, only 4 years ago. Michael is therefore only 22 years old, hardly mature, let alone had he waited years and years for his mate.
I found it stupid that no mention is ever made of Sasha until she strikes again. Who does not ask who was on the bad Alphas side.
Nearly stopped there and then but finished this book, wish I hadn’t, as the supposed climax was so scripted I wanted to laugh and roll my eyes as you knew every move and action that was going to happen between Luna and Sasha.
Won’t be reading anymore of this series.

This is a really good book.
The Hero is totally consumed with the heroine once they meet.
There is interest from other women but the Hero is not interested.
Previous couple from book 1 appears.
No push/pull.
Other man drama at the start, as the blurb said the enemy has taken her to try to force a mating. This is over fairly quickly.
HEA.

Poor excuse for a werewolf story

This was porn. The plot was weak, the characters had no depth, and the relationships are super instalove. Really, it's not instalove as much as instalust. I skipped more than I read. If you're just looking for a bunch of porn than this is the book for you I enjoy books with more writing skill.

This book is amazing! Following the path of the youngest brother, Michael and his search for his mate, Luna. He has agreed to help Leo of the Crescent wolf pack regain control of his pack and rescue his sisters from Maddox, the man who has taken over the pack. The night after they attack the Moirae pack, they are on Crescent land attacking in order to save the sisters. When Michael finds Luna in the basement, she's badly injured but he knows immediately that she's his mate. He refuses to let anyone near her, even her twin brother Leo, until she is healed. He finds out when he marks Luna that her wolf is submissive but he's determined to have her as his mate anyway. A confrontation in the pack lodge with a female that wants Michael for herself has Luna standing up for herself and showing the pack that she's no pushover. Things are going pretty well for Luna and Michael but Luna still isn't safe according to her youngest sister Nova, who happens to be a seer. When she convinces Michael to let her and her wolf go for a run alone the day before the full moon, Luna has no idea that things are about to change. Sasha, a member of her pack who has hated her for years, escaped the attack that killed Maddox and now Sasha's out for revenge. When she threatens Michael in front of Luna, something happens to Luna's wolf that surprises them all. In the end, she saves her family and herself and she and Michael go on to live the lives they've always wanted. In the meantime, someone from Zoey's past returns and it looks like fate has just shown up at the door for Luna's sister Maya.

If you haven't read the previous book (Unbreakable Bond) you really should before you read this one. This one basically picks up where that one ended, but with a focus on a different couple.

I was hesitant to read this story given where the previous story had left off with Luna, but once I started reading I was drawn into the story. Luna has always been the submissive wolf born to an alpha family, a pack princess in name only. Finding herself mated to the alpha of an allied pack is the last thing she expected, and she's worried she won't be strong enough to hold the pack position she'll need to for her mate. Michael had never expected to be pack alpha, but his own family tragedy forced him into the role. He had always expected Zoey to be his mate, but with her now mated to his brother Rafe he wondered if there was anyone fated for him. I thought Luna and Michael balanced each other out nicely. They both had family tragedies that make them fearful of loss, but they don't allow those tragedies and fears to define them.

I really wish we had gotten to see more of Darius and Leo. I would have been interested to see more of their interactions during this time.

There is a bonus epilogue that is meant to be a teaser for the new spinoff series, so there will be more stories in this world.

I absolutely love Luna!!!! Her character is real and imperfect, yet she is everything Michael needs. She is strong yet vulnerable. Luna is intelligent, and her loyalty to her family and pack is unrivaled. Beyond that, she is very kind, compassionate, and loving. Luna is a true Queen. Yet others see her as weak. She proves those folks wrong!

Unbelievable Faith is not only a remarkable love story but also carries the themes of redemption and forgiveness from book one, as well as belief in one's self and love. I love the moments when Luna stands strong for her mate and family, and no one should underestimate her. It is fantastic, too, that Luna and Michael connect strongly with Rafe and Zoey. All is as it should be, and the fates are not to be denied, ignored, or not believed. The book is truly a story of faith. I love it and look forward to the third book in the series!

UPDATE: Yes, I reread this book, and three years later, it is still a phenomenal love story! I loved the first book about Rafe and Zoey, but this book's storyline makes you long for what these characters have found. They give you hope that this type of love could be actual. The storyline is fantastic and gives us drama, suspense, action of the paranormal kind, a mystery, family bonding, steamy hot romance, lots of love, and reminders of how sacred family and friends are in our lives.

As soon as I finished book 1 of this duet I quickly added Unbelievable Faith onto my kindle and started it the next day. This one took me two day to read, but only because I got really busy. However! Once I was able to sit down and read, I flew through this book! I wanted to read Michael’s happy ending from the start of book 1. I felt so bad for him that Zoey, the girl he loved was fated to another. I really wanted his HEA… in walks Luna. Well she didn’t exactly walk… no spoilers. Nevertheless, I was so happy to see her appearance into the story. I really enjoyed reading how Michael natural born Alpha genes, someone who would bow to no one, bowed to Luna. I swooned so hard when the literal Pack Alpha could melt and be go gentle to his mate, who had been through so much. That tenderness really made me fall head over heels for him.
Luna though, a submissive by nature. Not one to lead a pack and yet her strength was palpable. Not only was she able to endure anything she had to, to keep her sisters safe, she also was able to show her power from within when it came to Michael. Their bond was instant, and that bond soothed them both. Their fated bond helped to strength Luna and helped to soften Michael. I loved it! I would love to see more from this series in the future. There were so many characters that still have a story to be told. -cough- Leo and Darius -cough-

I barely even read this book, it picks up right where the last left off. Michael was about to attack Maddox (the alpha that forcefully took over the Crescent pack) to help Leo rescue his family that was being held as prisoners.

AGAIN the blurb gave away the ENTIRE BOOK!! It took dedication to get through the first two chapters and I was so bored that I skipped to the last chapter.

AGAIN the book gave us a "happy for right now". The bonus epilogue was a bit better in this book than book 1 because it gave us a look into the future. Although I did search "pregnant/kids/son/pups/daughters" to see what Rafe and Zoey are having and NOTHING!! It was mentioned in chapter 19 that Zoey had a stomach bug but Michael said she was actually pregnant and that was that. The bonus epilogue mentions Michael and Luna's twins but there is nothing about what or how many children Rafe and Zoey had. It was basically an introduction to a spin off series.

After reading book one and skimming the majority of book two, I can honestly say I do not recommend this series or this book. The whole thing left me with tons of questions and feeling frustrated.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

ONE HARD HITTING ADVENTURE!!!
Fantastic! Jess knows how to spin impressive and vivid tales that pulls you in so deep until everything else ceases to exist. Chaos and mayhem set the stage for this action packed, pulse racing, heart pounding, page turning bombshell that keeps you teetering on a razors edge. One gripping storyline and turbulent plot catapults this bad boy to a whole new level. A spinning vortex with a bounty of swirling emotions burst into play front and center. Throw in the confusing drama, unnerving events and you have one electrifying treat. Hurdling the trials and tribulations abound with sharp twists, clean turns and thin lines propels this bad boy together sleek, shiny and tight. The main characters chemistry is intense, white hot and explosive. The characters personalities are well balanced and blended with enough spice to add a little flavor to the mix. 100% on point with dazzling scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines. Remarkable job Jess, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

After reading Rafe and Zoey’s story in Unbreakable Bond” I had to read Michael’s book “Unbelievable Faith” because the need to see him find his true mate was guttural. This.book.did.not.dissappoint. Michael is the pack’s Alpha. He is young, strong, smart and sexy and as the Alpha leader he is generous and caring. Luna the woman is fierce, determined, protective and loving. She is willing to sacrifice everything for what remains of her family. Luna the wolf is a submissive, something that she has made peace with. When Michael saves her he is not only rescuing the sister of a friend but his own true fated mate. The attraction is feral, the bond unbreakable and their coming together is hot. Overcoming the obstacles in their way, these two get their much deserved happily ever after and it’s a good one! TBR this great read and if you haven’t read Book 1, TBR that as well. I for one am looking forward to Maya’s story and from what I saw it’s going to be a good one 😉.

This was a really good addition to the series. In the last book Michael was cursing fate a bit, as things didn't go the way he had planned/hoped for. He has no clue that helping the Cresent pack with their rogue wolf issue will lead him straight to his mate, the one wolf that was meant just for him. Finding her is the best moment of his life, even in the midst of the battle they are in. Luna had just given up hope, and resigned to the fact that she will mate with Maddox in order to save her sisters' lives. Michael saves her at the very last moment, but Luna had never imagined that her fated mate would be an alpha. How will he take it when he realizes that her wolf is submissive? Will Michael once more curse fate?

I really enjoyed Michael and Luna's story; we get a bit more depth with this story. Throw in the drama, danger, violence, and the hot naughty bits and I was hooked. I am eager to see where this series goes with the other characters. I give this 4 stars.

Just as bad as the first book, for the same reasons. Except worse for another: the author tried to write a Black FMC, but she failed in subtle and harmful ways. Luna is African American (don’t let the white chick on the cover deceive you, she’s just the model the lazy publisher used after not reading this book) which we know because the author repeatedly raves about her “dark skin.” (By contrast, Michael is only described once as having “tan skin,” by which I think we’re supposed to think he defaults to white.) Once her skin is described as a becoming “deep caramel brown” under the hot water of a shower. The first time she turns into a wolf, she’s described as “Her coat was pitch black, just like her hair and skin.” Her nipples are supposedly pink, and her lips “rosy.” I just can’t get those descriptors to all fit on one human being. Or werewolf.

Then there’s her hair. All her life she chemically straightened it. Then she’s locked up in a basement for an unknown amount of time (months?), comes out with matted hair, washes it once after all that time while sharing the shower with her sexy new mate (no problem!), does nothing with her wet hair, has wild sex and musses it up, and then just dresses and sees her sisters and they’re like, your natural hair is so curly and pretty! Ummm...I’d bet the white dude you just mated doesn’t stock his bathroom with the right products to style your gorgeous natural hair and it’s probably more of a damaged mess than anything. It just doesn’t give me the impression that the author knows anything about Black hair, and makes the character rather unreal.

And the worst offense: when Luna is kidnapped and imprisoned for the second time (!!) she sees her lifelong nemesis, a woman she always thought of as a runway beauty and who she describes in non-African terms (I say non-African, because she could be white, Arab, Latina, Asian, Indian, or any number of ethnicities): “Tall and thin with jet black tresses that were always perfectly straight, cascading over her shoulders in a silky waterfall that had never seen an ounce of frizz, Luna had longed for that kind of easy beauty. She’d envied the exotic way Sasha’s hazel eyes tilted up at the corners and the delicate nose and chin that were all perfectly proportioned.” And compares herself: “Next to her, Luna had always felt plain, messy and too boyish. She constantly fought her naturally curly hair in the Louisiana humidity. Her nose was too wide and her mouth was too plump.” I just can’t even begin with how wrong all of that is. But it’s OKAY, says the author! Of COURSE it’s OKAY! Because now that she has a mate and can see the way HE looks at her, of COURSE she can see her own beauty!! She just needed a (WHITE) MAN to validate her and to help her use her own eyeballs. No WAY would she have ever figured out how they worked without him telling her how to use them.

And this review is already too long for me and I’m too ragey, so I’m not going to even get into the treatment of the gay mated pair and how, just... OFF it all was. Suffice it to say, I’m not sure this author is at all comfortable with Black people or gay people and her attempts at including diversity in her characters, while well-intentioned, betray her ignorance. She tried. But she needs to try better.

Michael is the Alpha of the Moirae Pack, and he agrees to help Leo DeLuca, Alpha of the Crescent Pack, to find Leo’s three sisters - Luna, Maya and Nova - and take out Maddox Clary who killed Leo’s parents and took over the Crescent Pack by force. Michael finds Luna who has been tortured by Maddox and realizes that he and Luna are fated mates. We are introduced to a new concept of the Alpha Queen in this story, which is an interesting twist. Michael and Luna eventually get to their HEA, and the story is really well told, with thoughtful plot lines, great characters, and lots of fun, excitement, and heat. It’s a great addition to the story. I’ve read the next two stories which focus on Leo first and then Maya. Both are wonderful. I am looking forward to Nova’s story. Highly recommend this one and the entire series!
