In this alien romance series, the women are part of the crew of a passenger spaceship. They serve and are the entertainment. Something bad happens and they end up crash landing in escape pods on a planet that isn’t part of the Galactic Alliance (Earth was contacted some 40 years ago at the point of this story).
Errors…
“No, no, no, no, no, , no!” — comma crazy
“…across what’d been paved expenses.” — expanses
“It looks like it was built in the same way as your tower did back in the city.” — tower was
“…sending the doors swinging wildly on their hinges as we spring into the old forge.” — sprang
The characters were really good. The heroine is plucky, but not annoyingly so. The love is fairly insta, but to be fair they are thrown together in a survival mode sense and he’s just hot with wings. And also there are no women. It’s never quite explained why the no women, but that’s a mystery for the series not a single book.
“…I want to know the story of,” he waved his hands at us, “whatever this is.”
Yeah, buddy. So do I.
As for the next book, we only briefly meet that hero and know the heroine from the spaceship set up. It’s not really advertised in the way I can’t stand. So it’s okay. I probably will continue. Because my only real complaint is this one seemed to stutter at the end. There was no really big culmination. It kind of fizzled. And if every book is like that, I might get to the end of the series and still have questions. I have questions!!
