HE HUNTS WOMEN. SHE HUNTS HIM.

FBI Agent Meredeth Connelly tracks The Savannah Strangler by day. At night, she mimics his prey. She has little to go on. He's crafty and smart - he dumps bodies in the Savannah River after stoning his victims to death. But he won't escape. She won't let him. She will do anything to make Savannah safe again. She will do anything to stop him.

The dead pile up. Pressure, a hellish headache, desperate secrets. Heat, stiletto heels, fear. She won't let anything stop her.

Not the detective who thinks she's a drunk.
Not the good old boys club.
Not the mystery man cyberstalking her.

She will get the killer. One way or another.

Her pounding head is going to kill her - unless he gets to her first…

WHAT AN ANNOYING MAIN CHARACTER, SHE HAD SO MANY HEADACHES SHE GAVE ME ONE. I WONDERED WILL SHE EVER FIND OUT WHAT'S CAUSING THEM. FOR ONE THING SHE NEVER EATS I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE FUNCTIONS. SHE REFUSES TO BELIEVE THEY COULD BE MIGRAINE HEADACHES. THE BOOK SHOULD'VE BEEN TITLED SAVANNAH MIGRAINES. HER AND HER PARTNER SPENT MOST OF THEIR TIME RUNNING, FLYING AND BOATING, WITH MOST OF THE BOOK ABOUT HER HEADACHES. TOO MUCH TIME SPENT ON THE FLAWED SIDE OF MEREDETH, NOT MUCH STORY WITHOUT THE HEADACHES. ;<

I loved this book. It was fast paced and I enjoyed the rapport between Bristol, Bobby and Meredeth.

As someone who gets migraines, I understand how debilitating they are. I thought she was a badass to function at the level she needed to. I would have liked to have found out the cause (and there is medication for migraines) of the headaches.

I thought the book was easy to read and unlike some other reviewers, i thoroughly enjoyed it start to finish.

This book didn't work for me. The plot was more about the protagonist's splitting headaches than the actual murders. The writing was stiff, and had several typos. I felt no connection with the protagonist. She was often cross, self pitying, and took unnecessary risks when her judgement was skewed. It took me longer to slog my way through the story than usual.
I'll not be reading anymore by this author.

A good mystery/thriller. Meredeth Connelly is on the case of a person murdering prostitutes and leaving them by the water in Savannah. She leaves no stone unturned and the ending is a surprise. A quick, good read with plenty of clues for the mystery buff.

Loved it! I read this book after I read the book that follows and was equally impressed with the storyline and quality of writing. There was enough action to keep me turning pages and rooting for the good guys. Definitely can’t wait until book number three is available!

“Savannah Savior” was a page turner and kept me enrapt right to the end. I enjoyed all the characters and their interaction with each other.
I can feel the pain of Meredth’s migraines. Great story line.

An FBI agent suffers from headaches, and occasionally solves a murder in between them. That's the best way to describe Savannah Savior.

Meredeth Connelly suffers from a headache that lasts the entire book, and also works for the FBI BAU. The headaches are a constant in the book. Some chapters, particularly in the first half of the book, are more devoted to her headaches than they are the case. At times, it really felt like the case was an afterthought. She bizarrely continues on as if the headaches are no big deal when they are clearly borderline debilitating, and we never find out just what causes them and why they dominate the story so much. Later on, she gets nausea on top of the headaches, just to add to distractions. And seemingly everything sets off her headache, so it's a constant distraction. I was getting a headache just from reading about hers by the 20% mark.

The case involves someone murdering prostitutes and dumping their bodies into the river between Georgia and South Carolina. There's also a subplot of Meredeth receiving messages from some mysterious stalker (mild spoiler). It's decent, not extremely compelling. The police work at least seems solid.

I couldn't read this because the thought of the headache the author described seemed to give me a headache too. I didn't actually get a headache, but I kept thinking one was on its way. Very distracting.
A second reason I did not like the book is that the protagonist did not seek medical attention for her condition, which was just stupid.

Savannah Savior, prequel - An interesting and intense read. Meredeth, an FBI agent and profiler, creates some of the intensity with her pain. Her two male cohorts are also good characters sharing a gamut of emotions over Meredeth's pain and the investigation. The story lines are interesting. 4*

Mercy Forsaken, #1 - Interesting. Intense. Good characters and good story lines made it hard to put the book down. Good pace through out the story. I had a problem with the FBI accusing a law officer of being the serial killer; there was not enough evidence. While all the Evil was terrible, one scene was especially brutal. The murders were described with minimum detail, not graphically gory. Meredith finally woke up and sought help for her migraines. While not exactly a cliffhanger, the story continues. 4*

Her Last Sunset, #2 - Begins about a year after Mercy Forsaken ends. Rather intense, good paced and extremely hard to put down. I figured out the unsub's helper but got a big surprise on how wrong and right I was. The story goes back and forth in time but the well thought-out story lines keeps everything interesting and immersing. Good characters and interesting dialogues. The murders are not gory graphic and the vulgar language is not excessive. 5*

Mile Marker 33, # - Awesome read. I like the depth of detail that the author writes about Meredith's health problems from the stabbing. If course, he has the medical experience of what she went through, less the stabbing. I recommend starting this series from the beginning, but a new reader won't be confused by starting with MM33. There are continuous and new story lines so while not a cliffhanger the story continues. Good characters and good dialogues with a minimum of profanity. Interesting. Intense. Difficult to put down. 5*

This is the 1st story that I have read by this author and I thought it was well done.

Merieith and Bobby have pulled off case in Florida to assist the sheriff's department with a serial killer case in Savannah, Ga. When they arrive at the airport and are met by a member of the department. Meredith has been fighting a headache and had a drink on the plane to help. Bristol, the member of the sheriff's department thinks that Meredith is drunk. Meridith assures him she is not and wants to visit the scene where the last body was discovered. She got her way and Meredith gets out of the boaat and surveys the location where the body was discovered. She was able to decern that the body was killed elsewhere and that based on the tides they could guess on when the death happened.

As the hunt went on, they began searching for someone who fit the profile that Meredith developed. a suspect. Meredith decided that since all of the women killed were "ladies of the night" she would go out and act as a decoy. The 1st night didn't succeed, but the last party that Meredith came accross wound up speeding away. They had no luck locating the vehicle. Meredith knew that she needed to go back out as decoy.

To discover how they eventually learned where a suspect might be and how their case ended, then you need to read this book.

Savannah Saviour - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

This enticingly different Meredeth Connelly Mind Hunt Thrillers prequel by E.H. Vick introduces the eponymous so-called Saviour.

Despite being in denial that worsening migraines are affecting her strong work ethic at the FBI, Meredeth Connelly and her partner Bobby Van Zandt are relocated to Savannah, on the trail of the Savannah Strangler - a vicious killer in the Jack the Ripper mould.
Who taunts Meredeth with hints of knowing her local background and calling her out for leaving Daytona?

As Meredeth, Bobby and Savannah Homicide cop, John Bristol, follow up on the clues, what's revealed about the latest victim?
What's Meredeth do that puts her in danger?

E.H. Vick knows exactly how to feed the tension and the atmosphere with Savannah Saviour's variety of twists and turns that will keep you guessing right to the end!

Recommended to fans of Audrey Walker, Anabel Bright and Sean Fletcher.

Savannah Savior: A Meredeth Connelly Mind Hunt Thriller by E.H. Vick is a fast-paced FBI thriller. It’s an exciting prequel to the new Meredeth Connelly Mind Hunt Thrillers series.

FBI Agent Meredeth Connelly hunts down serial killers. She will do anything to stop the killings. All the while suffering from horrible, debilitating migraines. I felt for her, but I did get tired of reading about how bad they were, yet she was unwilling to go to the Dr to try to get some relief from them. Meredith Connelly is one tough agent and Savannah Savior is a gripping thriller. I can’t wait to read the other 3 books in the series.

I would like to thank the author for giving me a free copy of this ebook.

Savannah Savior, by E. H. Vick, is a riveting tale of human depravity that will haunt you long after you finish reading. The storyline is fast-paced and very well written, filled with murder, intrigue, subterfuge, politics and suspense. It will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The characters are well developed and engaging. Meredith is a strong female protagonist. Plagued with daily migraines myself, I easily identified with her and her plight, while she strove to hunt the Savannah Strangler. Overall, this is a great thriller that showcases the writing talents of Mr. Vick well.

A decent novella acting as a prequel to the Meredith Connolly series. Connelly is an FBI veteran, agent and profiler, who hunts serial killers. She and her partner Bobby Van Zandt are called to Georgia when a number of prostitutes are murdered, working with the local police to hunt the killer.

Connelly has a reckless streak that makes her an interesting protagonist, willing to do whatever is necessary, She hunts the killer while in denial about the migraine headaches she is plagued by, convinced they will stop soon.

The plot is well constructed and the police work solid - before an action packed finale. Well worth a read, and a good advert for the main series.

Meredeth was a agent for the FBI .Bobby was a partner with her for a case where someone was murdering women and they all had a cross necklace on and then thrown in the river. About over a dozen women so far, almost daily.Meredeth always had a bad headache from the stress and Bobby tried to always get her to eat and drink some coffee. She seemed to never get much sleep. Now she decided to dress as a hooker to see if she could help catch this murder.Well the only bad thing in the book seems to be Meredeth always had a headache and told us about it over and over again. Also I didnt care for the ending it was sort of BAM end of story.

I love reading series so I was excited about this. Unfortunately it didn’t blow me away. But it also wasn’t horrible.

Let me explain.

I give credit for wanting the reader to understand the stress of such a job. The long hours. The eating crap food on a constant. The frustration. The giving your all to solve the case all while dealing with headaches/migraines all of that at one time. Nothing I would ever want to endure.

With that being said, I can see how some readers would get tired of the references of said headaches. But I also see how the author wanted the reader to imagine dealing with everything in a high profile type case all while feeling as if your head was about to explode.

I will give the next book in the series a shot to see where it leads.

The FBI sends Merdeth Connelly and Bobby Van Zandt to the south to help with a serial killer. Connelly is suffering from very bad headaches, that only caffeine and alcohol seems to help relieve, this makes the local police in charge of the case think she is a drunk. Along with this, she keeps getting emails from not only someone on the case they left behind, but this one too. Can she and Bobby find the killer, or will she fail and end up killed by the killer? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Received as ARC. Great start to a new genre for Mr Vick. FBI agent Meredeth Connelly and her partner Bob Van Zant are sent to Savannah, GA for a series of murders. Meredeth has a splitting headache on the flight, so she has a drink to try to calm down. The homicide detective immediately labels her as a drunk. The story is rich in plot and characters, and is very enjoyable. Look forward to more

Just finished the story, “Savannah Savior” by the author E.H. Vick. This is the 1st book of his that I have read and I can't wait to read the next one.
He has a way to pull you into the story and the characters as well. If you liked the TV show Criminal Minds you will enjoy this book. As you follow Meredeth as she tries to catch the killer you will find that she has problems both personnel and job related, bring her down to earth and making her someone to root for.

This book was more about a headache than a serial killer. If I had a headache like that, I sure as heck would see a doctor. A headache is not going to derail her career. Amazing what she could do while incapacitated by that headache. If all you think I am going to write about is a headache, well that was 90% of the novel. The ending was so abrupt I thought I missed reading some pages. All in all it was just one big headache.

I had to go back and read the first few pages. I thought I missed the beginning of the book. A not so young FBI agent. (female) is on the hunt for another mass murderer. She is suffering the whole time with migraine headaches. If you are like me and have had these headaches you connect with the character. Thankfully mine never lasted as long as hers'. She keep going no matter how back the pain becomes. Interesting character. Good story line. Lots of suspense and magic to the story.

WOW! Talk about a novel that you can't put down! E.H. Vick really knows how to keep the midnight light burning into the early morning hours. Meredith Connelly, FBI profiler is on the case. She has some problems to contend with, but doesn't let them stop her. My heart was racing and I couldn't wait to see if the killer would come after her; or if her partners could rescue her. I simply could not put it down!

A great quick read. The characters a likable and the plot flows easily. The only unbelievable point is why would a FBI agent be afraid of getting her headaches checked out - migraines won't keep you out of field duties (medications don't dope you out as they used to in the 80s and 90s). This point was a bit belabored. This looks to be a good new series.

A well written thriller with good characters and storyline. Meredith, a profiler and her partner Bobby are on the hunt to track down and outsmart a strangler. Meredith takes risks as she uses herself as bait but is determined to catch the killer one way or another. Recommended. I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily leave an honest review.
