USA Today best-selling author Allie was born and raised in a very small town in upstate New York, which probably explains her fascination with the magic of small town life.

Since 1997, Allie has enjoyed life in the northern NYC suburbs, where she lives with her husband and teaches high school English during the day. Each story had a different focus besides the romance. The first, Summer, was quite sad, the h had amnesia. The people around her remembered the accident and the results. Very painful. But strong characters rose to the challenge. Autumn, the second, was the best. Great characters who grew and changed and matured. When one character, died, I had tears. The h and H had a hea Spring, 3rd, was not as inspiring. I thought the h was immature. H grew in character. Winter, 4th, good characters, cats and dogs, sweet romance. All stories had a hea. I think I was in the last story that there were typos. No problem reading through them, but they were there.
These opposites-attract stories are highly unusual because each couple fights their strong physical attractions. Instead, they become real friends, helping and backing up each other in both daily and weird situations, and sharing secrets. They are more open with each other than people who rush into sex and then feel they must maintain their masks. Thus they fall in love not with bodies or images, but with the insecure but real person hidden inside. These are relationships that will be able to stand what life brings because they are built on honesty and trust.
I was disappointed in the first story, which is marred by serious timeline errors, but the volume as a whole is wonderful.
1. Needs editing. 2. If the men treated the women like the women in these books treat men, this author would not have a following. 3. Abelism. A MC deliberately parked in a disabled permit parking spot. No permit. For her mother, running for Town Council. MC blithely thinks to herself that she hopes no person who is really disabled needs the spot.
Do y'all have any idea how many hoops we as disabled people jump through to hopefully qualify for a disabled parking permit?
I read the set through. I won't be reading this author again.
Let’s see. Book 1 could have been great. Plot great. Characters fleshed out fairly well. But it was advertised as Sweet. Almost every page had a full paragraph of her lusting after him. Or him lusting after her. Lots of groping. And an all-nighter. Just no description of the goings-on. As if the book was written for a different audience and parts removed to appeal to the “sweet” crowd. Halfway through book 2, when the 2 girls hooked up in a bar, I was done.
I enjoyed this quick easy romantic set of stories. Light and simple, they went down like pie. I'd recommend them for anyone that wants something super light and fluffy with absolutely no depth or sex or real negativity at all. I found I was easily distracted by environment when reading these, they were just that simple.
Loved these stories! Broken men finding love from the most unlikely women! Love helped warm cold hearts and gave a new life to unsuspecting women and men of this sweet little town!
I enjoyed all the stories, as the characters met their problems and overcame them. Reading one book after the other kept me in the neighborhood and helped me relate. This is a good author I want to read more.
A great story line, love the Whispering Pines series. I love that the boy get girl workout all the heavy sex scenes. A very good read for all ages. Fall in love with Whispering Pines
I couldn't get enough of the characters and storylines in this series. Every character grew and developed throughout each story. I didn't want the stories to end.
I liked all four books. A nice change of pace from the usual billionaire falling for the poor girl (not that there aren't days you wish for that 😊) but more realistic in nature of relationships!
The short series were great and had me wanting more. The characters came to life in all the stories and they were a hit. I would love to visit whispering pines to get some of its magic
This book immersed me so quickly that it blew me away. I think you will enjoy this book just as much as I have. This author included great stories to entertain you. Loved it.
These stories and the lonely individuals in them, each shared an amazing adventure as they got to know each other. I found the plots delightfully interesting and exciting with fast-paced drama and unexpected developments. I wouldn't have wanted to miss any one of them. Very Entertaining Read!!!!
I liked this book it is a series of stories in a little town and the stories are all little romantic of how each couple found each other and their love.
